After Stefan paid the bill, he walked out of the restaurant and saw how dark it had gotten.
Frowning, he turned and looked at Renee. “It’s getting dark. Let’s find a place to rest for the
night.”
Renee had a bit of wine, so her cheeks were slightly flushed and she was feeling a little
dizzy too. She stepped forward and lifted his chin, narrowing her eyes at him. “Looks like
you want to take advantage of me after buying me dinner. Don’t think I don’t know what’s on
your mind.’
Stefan was speechless.
Renee burped and said bluntly, “But it’s fine, it’s hard to say who will take advantage of who.
Alright, let’s go and get a hotel room!”
Stefan’s jaw dropped. Did she have any idea what she was saying?!
He supported the swaying Renee and said coldly, “You’re too inexperienced to take
advantage of me. What’s more, you donated so much blood today. You’d better just behave
yourself and rest well.’
They went to the most prestigious hotel in the city center.
Stefan went to the reception and said to the receptionist at the counter,” Give me two of
your best suites.”
“Sir, are you sure you want two suites?” The receptionist glanced at Renee, who was
clinging to Stefan like a koala. It might have been the first time she had seen such a thing.
The man and woman were obviously close, but they wanted separate rooms.
“Yes, we’re not close, you see.” Stefan lifted his chin as he spoke. However, even as he
said that, Renee hung onto him and pulled his sleeve.
“You guys look… pretty close,” the receptionist muttered before she started checking the
rooms. At last, she informed Stefan regretfully, “Sir, we’re left with only one Luxury Suite.
The others are taken. What do you-”
“Only one?” Stefan knitted his brows and said reluctantly, “Fine, I’ll take that one.”
After that, he lowered his head and explained to Renee solemnly, “Listen. There’s only one
room in the hotel. It’s not that I want to stay in the same room with you.”
But he gained no response from her.
Renee did not make any reply, possibly because she was too sleepy. She seemed to have
dozed off while clinging to his shoulders.
After getting the room card, Stefan helped Renee into the room. Unexpectedly, a paparazzi
snapped the whole process from afar.
“You’re so heavy. You don’t look it, but you are,’ Stefan growled as he laid her on the bed,
sweating profusely.
“I’m not heavy, you’re just weak…” Renee mumbled, half-asleep.
“What did you say?” Stefan thought she wanted to say something to him, so he leaned
closer.
“You… You’re weak,” Renee said softly.
“I’m weak?” Stefan raised his eyebrows in surprise. He had lived for more than two
decades, but no one had ever claimed that he was weak, especially women.
Before he could argue with her, she hugged his neck, then turned and pinned him
underneath her.
“Stefan, why are you so stubborn? I try my best to get you out of my life, but you always
show up somehow. Even if you’ve lost your memory and forgotten about me, why do you
still want to mess with my mind?” Renee glanced at the man with perfect facial features
below her. Her eyes were unfocused, and Stefan didn’t know if it was the alcohol talking or
she was serious
