Chapter 547
Brittany and Isaac were done. She felt like a weight had been lifted. Then, out of the blue, the new product line from Bri-jeweled Studio. hit the market.
She had designed that line herself.
Watching the sales go through the roof and the rave reviews piling up online got her buzzing.
Even though she’d been killing it in the jewelry industry over the years and Bri-jeweled Studio had grown tenfold, she was still pumped.
Kari was over the moon too. As soon as the first day’s sales were locked in, she threw together a team dinner.
Being the boss, Brittany was expected to show.
The celebration was a blast. Brittany and Kari were buzzing around the private room. A lot of the employees who had been with Brittany since day one were getting all choked up.
Halfway through the meal, William called. Brittany gave him the address of the party.
“Is William coming?” Kari reckoned William was a catch. He had been keeping tabs on Brittany all those years.
“Yeah.”
It seemed like Kari had a light bulb moment, and she whisked Brittany away from the room. “Brittany, what’s the deal with you and William?
Brittany knew what Kari was getting at. She sidestepped the question, “We’re friends.”
“Brittany, all these years, I’ve always thought William was a better match for you than Isaac.”
Kari leaned against the wall, looking a bit worn out. She’d had a tough couple of years, but Bri-jeweled Studio was her and Brittany’s baby, so she had to keep going.
Since Brittany was back, she finally had a chance to breathe.
‘When you were in trouble back then, I cut ties with Wesley Tueley right away. Isaac reached out to me, wanting to help, but I turned him down” Talking about it still choked Kari up a bit.
‘Brittany, even as a bystander, I felt it was so unfair for you, let alone you being the one in the middle of it.”

playing her from the start
Even when he was supposedly in love with her, he put on a mask that made it impossible for her to tell what was real.
Brittany moved in and hugged Kari. “Kari, thank you.”
With tears welling up in her eyes, Kari said, “Brittany, you have to start a new life”
They chatted for a while. In the end, Brittany finally relented. “Kari, you’ve worked so hard these years. I’m giving you a month off. Take good rest.”
Karl hadn’t had a proper vacation for years. She deserved a life of her own.
Kari didn’t turn her down. She really needed a break. “Okay. I was thinking about taking a vacation after the product launch anyway.”
Just then, Kari saw William walking over. She greeted him with a smile and then left.
“How come you’re out here?” William saw Brittany was barely dressed and frowned, “It’s windy tonight. Aren’t you cold?”
Brittany had had a few drinks, so her face was flushed. Her eyes were sparkling with a light pink glow, which left William a bit mesmerized.
“William.”
Realizing he was staring, William cleared his throat awkwardly and said, “I saw the news. Bri-jeweled Studio’s new product line is selling like hotcakes. Congratulations.”
He knew Brittany was top-notch.
She had always been the best. Even after five years, she was able to take Bri-jeweled Studio to new heights.
Brittany reached out and held his hand, “William, I’ve made up my mind.”
William’s breath hitched, as if he had a hunch about something.
The surroundings were eerily quiet. His heart started to race, as though a longing was about to break free.
Brittany was a bit nervous. She took a deep breath and said, ‘Let’s be together.”
William’s heart was pounding. It felt like fireworks were going off in his ears. His throat seemed to be blocked as he looked into her
starry eyes, unable to utter a word.
“I’m completely done with Isaac. Let’s be together.”
“Bri, are you serious?”
William’s voice was hoarse. His body was tensed up. “You know, once you say yes, I’ll never let you go.”
“I’ve made up my mind.” Brittany lowered her head, tightly holding his hand.
