Chapter 7 Henry’s Sister

At a café… Elvia donned a black casual outfit, with a peaked cap. Following the private room number on Line, she pushed the door open. As soon as the people inside spotted Elvia, he quickly rose. “Gill, there you are.” The man was Rowland Geldof, a peripheral disciple of Beryl Hill who had been managing tasks for Elvia over the years. “Yes,” Elvia removed her cap and placed it on the nearby chair. “Where are the items?” Rowland handed her a document bag. “I intended to purchase a villa, but given your urgent need, I could only find a house in Rellyward Community. I bought it at three times the market price. Here are the property deed and transfer procedures. Everything has been taken care of.” This house cost 6.5 million dollars, which could have been enough to purchase a villa. Just the thought of it made Rowland feel uneasy. “It’s okay.” Elvia placed the document bag into her own bag and then retrieved a ceramic bottle. “Sell this.” Rowland’s eyes widened in shock. “One bottle? That’s a lot!” This was the Healing Pills that people scrambled to buy in the black market. A single pill was worth 800 thousand dollars. Sometimes, even with money, one couldn’t obtain it. Elvia only sold one pill each time, and it took four to five months before she provided another. Therefore, the value of the Healing Pill was exceedingly high. This time, Elvia presented an entire bottle. How could Rowland not be shocked? “Ah, I spent 6.5 million dollars, so I have to earn it back, or else I won’t be able to support myself next month.” Elvia massaged her temple, feeling annoyed. Elvia was quite lazy and didn’t want to exert too much effort in making money. Over the years, she had relied on Healing Pills and had earned a total of 6.5 million dollars. But now, it had all vanished in an instant. Elvia had to make some money! She also had to support her elderly father and stepmother! Meanwhile… Leonel and Jessica had a son who was in a boarding kindergarten. Jessica no longer had to support her eldest daughter, Natalie Wright. Natalie was older than Elvia and had a job. But after Elvia returned, Jessica spent the money she had prepared for Natalie on her. Hence, Elvia had to earn money to reimburse Jessica. As soon as Elvia woke up, her mind was fixated on money! She could no longer afford to fool around. Rowland’s mouth twitched. He smiled awkwardly, “Gill, don’t you feel guilty when you say these things?” Selling this bottle of Healing Pills would bring in at least 16 million dollars. But Elvia was worried that she would go bankrupt. “I’m really poor!” Elvia blinked her eyes, looking very serious. “Yes, you’re poor!” Rowland sighed. Elvia stood up, put on her cap, and patted Rowland’s shoulder. “I need to go. I’ll leave the task of promoting our sect to you.” Rowland was speechless. He thought, “Gill, you think too highly of me.” Elvia exited the café and planned to head to the nearby mall to buy some gifts for her family. Just as she was about to reach the mall entrance, there was suddenly a commotion up ahead. “Who is that girl? Is there no adult with her? Find out what’s wrong with her. Why is she having continuous seizures?” “The girl came alone and suddenly collapsed on the ground. Is she having a seizure?” “Is there a doctor? Please come and help her!” Elvia’s gaze shifted towards the crowd, and her eyes narrowed. A girl of approximately five years old lay on the ground. She was… unattractive! That girl was undeniably unattractive. At that moment, the girl was convulsing, making her unattractive face even more alarming. Elvia moved towards the crowd. Just as she pushed through, a voice could be heard. “Tsk! This girl is so ugly!” Elvia glanced over and spotted Kirsten and two other girls, their faces full of disdain. Another girl spoke up. “Kirsten, you’re learning medicine from Dr. Mata. Why don’t you take a look? This girl looks pitiful.” “I’ve only learned the basics. This girl’s condition doesn’t seem minor. I’d better call an ambulance.” Kirsten’s eyes revealed a hint of coldness. Elvia brushed past them, shot them a cold glance, and continued through the crowd. She picked up the little girl, fed her a pill, and then took out her portable bag. Kirsten was taken aback at the sight of Elvia. When Kirsten witnessed Elvia taking out a bag full of specialized tools and preparing to treat the little girl, she immediately stepped forward and said, “Elvia, what are you doing? Stop it!” Elvia gave Kirsten a chilly look and disregarded her. Just as Elvia was about to commence the treatment, a middle-aged woman suddenly rushed in, shoved Elvia aside, and shielded the little girl in her arms. “Who are you? What do you plan to do to my young miss?” Elvia’s expression turned exceedingly displeased! She detested being interrupted when she was treating a patient! However, the little girl seemed to be in critical condition. Elvia patiently explained, “She’s having a seizure! I’m going to administer treatment!” Before Elvia could speak, Kirsten interjected, “Elvia, don’t act recklessly. You haven’t received formal medical training. How can you treat her casually? If something goes wrong, it will implicate the Gilmore family!” Kirsten genuinely feared that Elvia would create a major predicament! Now that she was Diana’s granddaughter, Kirsten was closely linked to the Gilmore family. If anything happened to the Gilmore family, she would also be in trouble. Upon hearing Kirsten’s words, the surrounding crowd chimed in, “Miss, even though you want to save the girl, you shouldn’t show off! This is a matter of life and death.” “We should wait for the ambulance. I’ve already called for one.” The middle-aged woman’s face changed dramatically as she clung to the girl even tighter. “What? You haven’t studied medicine?” Elvia’s countenance turned frosty, emitting an intimidating aura. Those who knew Elvia well understood that she was on the brink of losing her temper. Before Elvia could say anything, the little girl began foaming at the mouth, her eyes rolling back, and her complexion turning deathly pale. The middle-aged woman was taken aback and hastily appealed, “Is there a doctor here? Please help my young miss.” Suppressing her anger, Elvia snatched the girl away from the middle-aged woman. The woman was about to say something, but a glance from Elvia silenced her. “You can stop me if you want the girl to die.” The middle-aged woman glanced at her young miss, then back at Elvia, and eventually chose to remain silent. Elvia paid no heed to everyone’s dissuasion and proceeded to treat the little girl. Kirsten’s face flushed with anger as she shouted, “Elvia, do you know what you’re doing? Do you want to harm the Gilmore family?” Elvia suddenly turned, a trace of hostility flashing in her chilly eyes. “If you say another word, I’ll sew your mouth shut!” Elvia’s icy glare sent a shiver down Kirsten’s spine, rendering her speechless. Meanwhile… A black sedan was speeding, and the atmosphere inside the car became tense. Henry, seated in the back, exuded an ominous aura. Arthur glanced at Henry and whispered, “I’ve arranged for the closest doctor to head over to the mall. Heather will be okay.” As Wilbert’s youngest granddaughter, Heather was cherished by Henry. Henry hadn’t planned for her to come to Banyan City, but Heather was unhappy at the Bradshaw household and pleaded with Henry to bring her over. Unable to witness Heather’s distress, Henry brought her along and purchased a villa, with the nanny who had always cared for her tending to her. Lately, Heather had been feeling insecure about her appearance and refused to leave the house. Hence, Henry instructed the nanny to take Heather for a stroll near the villa. Unexpectedly, while passing by the mall, Heather noticed a pair of earrings that she thought her future sister-in-law would appreciate, so she dragged the nanny into the mall. When the nanny was making the purchase, people began commenting on Heather’s appearance. Overwhelmed, she ran off and experienced an episode. The nanny couldn’t locate Heather and promptly contacted Henry. They reviewed the surveillance footage to discern what had occurred at the mall and immediately rushed over. Henry’s slender fingers clenched the phone, his voice frigid. “Drive faster!”
