Pestered By My Young by Bella Bruno Chapter 20

Chapter 20
After the video of them kissing in the underground parking lot of Clusia Entertainment was removed from the trending list, things seemed to have calmed down.
However, Sabrina’s studio suddenly made an announcement saying they had called the police and would severely punish those who spread the rumors.
For a moment, their action was met with mixed reactions from the netizens. Some said Sabrina was guilty, while others said she was merely an innocent victim of the rumors.
Sabrina was wearing glasses as she sat at the computer desk at New Era, correcting some photos. As expected, she received Harvey’s message.
They hadn’t been in touch for more than two months, but he contacted her right after she made her statement. “He really loves Jacqueline. He’s so afraid that the gossip would have an adverse effect on her,” she thought.

She clicked into the message casually. Harvey had asked to meet her.
Instead of replying to him, Sabrina deleted his contact details and blocked him.
It had been such a long time. She didn’t believe Harvey wouldn’t know who the person in the video was.
There were a lot of criticisms about Sabrina on the Internet, saying that she maintained a questionable relationship with Calvin even though she was aware that he had a fiancée.
That had a great impact on her reputation.
The application for the solo visual arts exhibition would be due by the end of next month. She wasn’t going to allow anyone or anything to impede her.
“Sabrina, there is a newbie model named Lina Atkinson who wants to see you. She’s from Clusia Entertainment.” Elena pushed open the door and felt reluctant to disturb Sabrina.

could more or less guess the reason Lina came.
The video and photos were likely taken by Lina. Maybe Lina didn’t know who was in the car, but she knew the car was Calvin’s.
Then, she posted the video and spread rumors about Sabrina and Calvin.
Unexpectedly, she ended up causing a huge me
for it wasn’t Calvin but his sister, Jacqueline, who was in the car.
“Sabrina, what’s going on today? Jacqueline’s manager asked you to have dinner tonight.” The receptionist walked into the office in puzzlement, having received a lot of strange phone calls that day.
Sabrina stopped clicking on her mouse for a moment. “So, Jacqueline came to ask me out too… Well, it seems that she wants me to keep my silence and stop pursuing the matter anymore,” she thought.
“Since it’s an appointment with a top actress, let’s set the time.”
Sabrina turned off the computer, took off her glasses, and rubbed between her eyebrows.
“I’m afraid this young model is in trouble. Unfortunately, meeting up with me can’t solve it. She deserves this,” Sabrina thought.
“Sabrina refused to see me! This is outrageous! What’s with that attitude? Why is she feeling guilty? She really thought of herself as a good person. Even if she isn’t the woman in the video, it’s indisputable that she had an affair with Calvin. Besides, I’m not the one who uploaded the video and spread the rumors. What do I have to be afraid of?”
“Lina, you’re in the wrong. Mr. Xavier asked you to apologize, so show some sincerity.” Her manager frowned.
Lina snorted, “I’m only doing this for my father’s sake. My father and Mr. Xavier are friends. Even if I don’t apologize, Clusia Entertainment can’t possibly fire me.” Lina rolled her eyes and stood there reluctantly. She didn’t want to apologize.
Sabrina happened to hear their conversation when she got out of the elevator, and her expression became even colder. “These young ladies from rich families are indeed spoiled,” she mused.
“Sabrina, I’m Lina’s manager. About the videos on the internet, we…” When the manager saw Sabrina walking out, her heart sk ipped a beat.
Sabrina just glanced at Lina faintly. “Talk to my lawyer.”
“Sabrina!” The manager felt helpless after being rejected so bluntly.
Sabrina had always been such a person. She never displayed favoritism to anyone, especially those who crossed her bottom
line.

“Sabrina, I heard that you are applying for a solo art exhibition recently. My father is the center director of Hofcaster Arts Center. I suppose you would want to talk to me now, no?” Lina asked coldly and arrogantly.
Sabrina slowly stopped walking, stuck her hands in her pockets, and turned to look at Lina again. “I’d better talk to your father directly to see how he managed to raise a daughter like you.”
“You-” Lina stood there angrily but didn’t dare to argue with Sabrina.
attitude?”
After Sabrina left, she looked at her manager angrily. “She’s just a sugar baby! What’s with her arrogant Jacqueline chose to meet at Grand Blue, which was very quiet and not a place where ordinary people could book.
Sabrina wore a casual khaki suit with a white shirt. She looked cold and distant.
“Sabrina, this way.” The one who greeted Sabrina was Jacqueline’s manager.
She was an established manager at Clusia Entertainment, so she dealt with things very smoothly. “Brynna, I heard that you returned victorious from your trip to Fruycia.”
Sabrina had gotten a lot of honors and awards indeed. “You flatter me. We don’t have a big circle to begin with.” She smiled politely.
Sabrina stopped when she walked into the private room.
Obviously, Jacqueline wasn’t the only one present in the private room. Beside her were Harvey and Lina, whom she had just met in the studio earlier.
“What kind of game is this?” Sabrina was a little unhappy but didn’t want to embarrass Jacqueline.
“Brynna, sit here.” Jacqueline smiled and waved. “I’m the host today. Let me introduce two newbies to you today.”
Sabrina’s gaze never once fell on Harvey. She treated him as if he was really just a stranger. “You’re so lucky to have Jacqueline introduce you herself.”
“Sabrina, we met just now.” Lina smiled at Sabrina and seemed to be gloating that Sabrina wound up having to meet with her in the end despite not wanting to.
“I’m not good at recognizing faces.” Sabrina smiled faintly.
Perhaps because of the low temperature, the atmosphere in the room felt a little chilly as well.
Sabrina was very uncomfortable sitting there, and she could feel Harvey’s passionate gaze.
“Calvin will be here soon.” Jacqueline smiled gently and clearly wanted to be the peacemaker.
“Jacqueline, you saw those photos and videos online, right? This period is crucial to my career growth, so I must clarify whatever rumors that arise at this time. You can understand this, I suppose?” Sabrina was a straightforward person. The fact that Calvin would show up didn’t mean she had to play nice.
Meanwhile, Harvey’s gaze had been glued on Sabrina. When he heard Sabrina’s words, his heart sank.
“Did the rumors affect her?” he wondered.
“Of course.” Jacqueline nodded. “I’ve also heard that this solo photography exhibition is very important to you. Mr. Hayes started his career as an artist from a solo art exhibition, too.”

The photography exhibition wasn’t only Sabrina’s job but also her obsession.
Sabrina’s mother said she could never surpass her father’s achievements, but Sabrina didn’t believe it.
“The video was shot by Lina. She’s young and inexperienced. I’ve already lectured her. The person who posted it online is not her but her friend Now the police have taken the girl away. She doesn’t work in the industry. Everything will be cleared up as soon as she issues a public apology. How about you let things slide for sake-”
It turned out Jacqueline had indeed joined the conversation as a peacemaker.

“I can understand that the young and the ignorant make mistakes.” Sabrina glanced at Lina.
Lina seemed smug.

“However, even children should be aware they have to take responsibility for their mistakes.” Sabrina glanced at Harvey with her peripheral vision.
Harvey hadn’t said anything since she entered the private room.
“Is he finally aware that he’s in trouble? Hmph! What a brat,” she thought.
“Yeah, if you’re in the wrong, you have to make up for it. Lina, apologize to Sabrina. We’ll be in the same industry in the future. You’re going to see each other all the time and will inevitably have to work together,” Jacqueline requested that Lina should apologize.
“Jacqueline… I wasn’t the one who uploaded the video.” Lina was a little reluctant.

“Don’t apologize.” Harvey finally spoke. His face betrayed no emotion, but his aura didn’t befit the innocence typical of someone who was in their early twenties.
