Pestered By My Young by Bella Bruno Chapter 18

Chapter 18
“Well, as I said, you’ve misunderstood.” Sabrina couldn’t be bothered to explain.
After all, there was no point wasting her time trying to explain herself to people who were committed to misunderstanding
her.
“Good luck.” Ellie smiled at Sabrina and left.
“Sabrina, who was that? Everything on her is branded and worth at least 4.5 million dollars…” Envy was written all over Elena’s face as she wondered about the identity of the wealthy lady.
“She’s the princess of Leanne Group.” Sabrina smiled.
“Leanne Group? The second largest company in Hofcaster after Kingsley Corporation? Oh my Go d! Did I just meet the daughter of a wealthy family?” Elena was so excited that she almost leaped.
Unlike other small companies, Leanne Group and Kingsley Corporation were the two leading organizations in Hofcaster.
Although Calvin was the CEO of Clusia Entertainment, he was only an influential figure in the media industry, and the daughter of the founder of Leanne Group was out of his league.
The Xavier family, Leanne Group, and Kingsley Corporation were the three most powerful forces in Hofcaster.
There were rumors that the Leanne family had a marriage of convenience with the Xavier family to solidify their positions. This was because Kingsley Corporation had expanded rapidly over the years, causing the gap between the two families and the Kingsley family to grow wider. Thus, in order to stabilize their positions, the other two families had no choice but to work together.
Nevertheless, Sabrina didn’t need to know the way of surviving in the business world.
All she needed to know was who she could and couldn’t offend.
After staying in Fruycia for over half a month, Sabrina hurriedly returned to the country.
Once the result of the award was out, Sabrina heaved a sigh of relief, for everything was within her expectation.
Sabrina was talented. Her work was innovative, and it was hard for others to tell what she was thinking.
Winning the award would elevate Sabrina’s reputation and net worth in Hofcaster. Such a fame-seeking method was commonly used in the industry.
However, Sabrina wanted not only money but also honor.
She had to hold the solo visual arts exhibition in Hofcaster as it was important for her transformation.
Knowing she could not stay young forever nor spend her entire life in the fashion industry, she must strive for a better future.
Only then could she live up to her father’s expectations.
On the plane back home, Sabrina had a dream. In the dream, her family was ruined, and she became homeless.
Sabrina opened her eyes slowly and rubbed her temples weakly.
“Look, Sabrina. I didn’t notice him when we boarded the plane, but that’s Trevor Wilde, the movie star.”
After being awakened by Elena, Sabrina glanced in the direction of Trevor. “Ha… I suppose enemies are always close by,” she mused.
“Did we pick a tarot card before we left?” She pulled up her eye mask, tilted her head, and continued to rest.
At that, Elena quickly shut her mouth and sat awkwardly in her seat.
Unlike Sabrina’s indifference, Trevor looked very enthusiastic as he smiled at Elena. “What a coincidence.”
Although Elena dared not to say anything, she was attracted by the charming Trevor.
“I’m impressed that you’re still working with Sabrina after so many years, Elena. Everyone knows she has a bad temper. I feel like poaching you over.” Trevor seemed pensive as a meaningful smile hung on his lips.
The 35-year-old cun ning man had an irresistibly charming face.
Thrilled, Elena instantly blushed. “A movie star is talking to me!” she squealed internally.
“How dare you poach one of my people right in front of my face?” Sabrina took off her eye mask and cast an icy glare at Trevor.
“Let’s swap seats, Elena.” Trevor smiled as he walked up to the assistant.
Besides Sabrina and Elena, only Trevor, his assistant, and his manager were in the first-class cabin.

Elena looked at Sabrina, nervously waiting for the latter’s instruction.
“Just ignore him.” Sabrina didn’t show any respect for Trevor.
“Brynna, I’m your cousin. How can you hurt my feelings like this?”
Sabrina subconsciously clenched her fists under the blanket and gritted her teeth.
Sabrina thought, “Cousin? I’m alone and have no relatives. Back when something happened to the Hayes family, all these so-called relatives avoided us like the plague. Where did he get the nerve to say I’m hurting his feelings?”
Elena was caught in between and found herself in a difficult position.
“The plane ride is bumpy. You’d better go back and sit down, Mr. Wilde. If you get hurt somewhere, the airline will have to pay a hefty sum of compensation,” Sabrina said coldly. Her eyes were devoid of emotion.
“It’s been a few years since we last saw each other, Brynna. You’re always busy when my studio tries to make an appointment with you. Since we bumped into each other, why don’t we have a chat?” Trevor sighed as if he had made a huge compromise.
“We have nothing to talk about.” Sabrina refused.
No one in the industry knew that Trevor and Sabrina were cousins.
Trevor never mentioned his relationship with Sabrina, perhaps to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
When the Hayes family was in hot waters back then, Sabrina was in a panic. She, who never liked asking for help, went to look for Trevor by herself.
However, Trevor refused to see her.
Trevor’s career was on the rise, so it was understandable he didn’t want to get into any trouble.
Sabrina didn’t blame
anyone.
Even so, the situation made her realize that everyone only looked after their self-interest, and she could only rely on herself.
She had to work harder than anyone else to get to where she was.
Thus, there was no way she could stop.
Anything that would affect her career had to be circumvented, and the prime example of this would be Harvey.
“Brynna, are you in a relationship now?” Trevor continued to pester Sabrina.
“Wouldn’t that affect my work?” Sabrina raised a brow.
Trevor was rendered speechless. At that, he returned to his seat with an awkward smile.
“She’s so cold…” he thought.
Trevor heaved a sigh and rubbed his temples. Apparently, his relationship with Sabrina would never return to the way in the past.
“Brynna, you can’t live alone forever. You’ll be disconnected from society.”
Sabrina begged to differ. She had never thought about finding someone to spend the rest of her life with.
It felt unrealistic, and even ethereal, to her.
“Sabrina, this is your schedule and work list for the month.” Sabrina’s manager sent the schedule to her phone.
She subconsciously looked for Clusia Entertainment on the work list to prepare herself in advance.
Almost two months had passed since she last saw Harvey at the Grand Dynasty show.
Harvey didn’t contact her either, so everything returned to normal.
“Brynna, let’s meet up for a celebration party tonight.” Calvin took the initiative to ask Sabrina out.
it was
In fact, Calvin seldom asked Sabrina out. Although the unpleasant rumors about them were running rampant, the two of them rarely met with each other.
Nonetheless, Sabrina rejected his invitation. She didn’t know whether she did it to avoid suspicion or because of Ellie’s warning.
Darkness had already blanketed the sky when a series of knocks could be heard coming from the door.
Sabrina was taken aback. “Who could it be at this hour? Only a few people know that I’m back, and if it’s Elena, she’d give me a call in advance,” she wondered.
Sabrina got up and took a peek through the peephole. Then, she smiled helplessly.
“Surprise!” Outside the door were Rayne and Calvin. “You’re so busy. We can only come to your place to congratulate you!”

“Can you two stop with the surprise attack? What if I’m in the middle of something?” Sabrina leaned against the door and joked with them.
“Brynna, are you hiding a man in there? What can you possibly be doing at this hour?” A smile hung on Rayne’s lips as she pushed Sabrina away. Then, she entered and switched into indoor slippers. “You’re not hiding a man, are you?”
Sabrina ignored Rayne’s remarks and took a long look at Calvin, who was carrying a basket of fruits and some snacks. “I met your fiancée in Fruycia.”
The smile on Calvin’s face instantly stiffened at the mention of his fiancée, and his eyes darkened. “What did she say to you?”
