Chapter 16
“Have some water, Sabrina.” Zayden poured her a glass of warm water. “By the way, Rayne said you’re still single.”
Sabrina glanced at Zayden and nodded.
Unlike the aggressive Harvey, Zayden was a bright and cheerful boy. He was gentle, polite, and much more mature, and he was of a similar age to Sabrina.
“Sabrina, have you ever thought of dating someone?” queried Zayden.
Sabrina was silent for a long time before shaking her head with a smile. “Well, I haven’t thought about that yet.”
Sabrina thought dating was a ha ssle and would affect her enthusiasm for work.
At the present time, she only wanted to give her all to work.
Besides, Harvey had already made her uneasy in the past few days. It was not a good sign.
*Could it be that Sabrina has taken a liking to Zayden? He isn’t considered young in this industry anymore. Is he trying to use Sabrina to transform himself?”
“I heard Sabrina is planning to hold a solo photography exhibition in Hofcaster. If her exhibition goes well, her status will be elevated, and it’s a form of transformation as well, right?”
“She’s just relying on Calvin. She won’t be able to do it by herself.”
Some were envious of Sabrina, but others were jealous.
Many of the banquet attendees were gossiping about Sabrina, and most did it out of jealousy.
Being in a foul mood, Harvey subconsciously drank more alcohol than usual.
Harvey looked at the heartless Sabrina grudgingly, his gaze darkening.
“Harvey, you’re drinking quite a bit. Are you feeling okay?” His friend, who was beside him, suddenly felt chilly and chalked it up to the sea breeze.
“Harvey, are you interested in Sabrina?” asked Lina Atkinson. She was also a rookie in Clusia Entertainment and belonged to the same batch as Harvey.
Harvey raised his brows and said nothing in response.
“The other day, I saw Mr. Xavier and Sabrina at the company’s underground parking. The two of them were kissing in the car,” Lina added casually, going as far as to include a specific time and location.
With his curiosity piqued, the male model next to Lina queried, “Are you sure?”
“How could I mistake someone else for Mr. Xavier?” Lina was afraid that Harvey wouldn’t believe her. Thus, she went on, “Their relationship has become a well-known ‘secret.’ Plenty of media outlets tried to get the latest scoop, but Mr. Xavier never said a word to them. He’s obviously playing favorites.”
Lina couldn’t help but wonder what Sabrina was capable of. After all, not only was the latter’s career smooth sailing, but Calvin also favored her.
Harvey’s expression dimmed when he heard her words. He then tilted his head and downed the glass of liquor.
He had never felt such frustration until Calvin’s appearance.
Meanwhile, over at Livewood Hotel, Sabrina only had a little bit to drink, for she was rational and knew her limit. As a result, she merely felt a little tipsy after drinking just the right amount.
“Sabrina, may I ask you a question?” asked Zayden as he took Sabrina back to the hotel.
“What is it?” Sabrina glanced at him.
“It’s about you and Mr. Xavier…” Evidently, Zayden was wary of Calvin.
Although Zayden was interested in Sabrina and hoped to take their relationship to a deeper level that night, he had to think
twice if the rumor about Sabrina was true.
After all, Calvin was not someone he could trifle with.
Sabrina stopped in her tracks, and her expression turned gloomy. It wasn’t the first time someone mentioned Calvin that night. “Actually, I’m curious about what the rumor is.”
For the first time, Sabrina was interested in her own rumors and scandals.
Perhaps it was because Harvey had misunderstood her that made Sabrina uncomfortable.
“Most of them are groundless accusations. Sabrina, a rookie model said she saw it with her own eyes a few days ago… that you were kissing Mr. Xavier in Clusia Entertainment’s underground parking.” Zayden said tentatively.

“Even the time, location, and scene are so well thought out. I suppose people are meticulous when it comes to spreading rumors nowadays, huh?” Sabrina raised her eyebrows. “A rookie from Clusia Entertainment? Which one?”
Zayden didn’t think it would be good for him to expose the other party’s identity. After all, they were all in the same industry. Thus, he put on a smile and changed the subject. “They’re just spouting nonsense. Don’t be mad, Sabrina,” Sabrina was usually a calm and cool person. Her icy gaze, coupled with her glasses, made her look as if she was an emotionless robot.
“If the rumors are true, will you be scared?” Sabrina raised a hand and tugged on Zayden’s tic, pulling him closer to her.
She wasn’t interested in anyone anymore.
Frightened by Sabrina’s aura, Zayden felt a sudden chill running down his spine.
“Sabrina… I can’t afford to offend Calvin unless you’re willing to protect me.” Zayden raised his hands in defeat. Although he was interested in the woman, he was equally interested in living.
Sabrina had paid no heed to the rumors over the years. Moreover, Calvin’s lack of explanation for their ambiguous relationship also served as a form of invisible protection for her.
After all, one had to think twice before laying their hands on Calvin’s woman in Hofcaster.
Sabrina didn’t remain completely unaffected by the unspoken rules of the industry because of sheer luck.
“I can’t protect you. You should leave if you don’t want to offend Calvin.” Sabrina loosened her grip on Zayden’s tie, not bothering to explain further.
Since the rumors between Calvin and Sabrina had been ingrained in the entertainment industry, the latter thought it was meaningless to explain them.
It was much more peaceful for her that

out,
However, Sabrina couldn’t help but have heard of the gossip a long time ago.
“It’s just one night, Sabrina. No one will find
Zayden didn’t intend to leave and trailed behind her.
In the corridor, before Sabrina could ask him to leave, she noticed a “large dog” squatting in front of her door.
Seeing that Sabrina had brought someone back her room, the large dog raised his head, and a fierce and aggressive look
flitted across his face.
“That’s…” Zayden was momentarily stunned when he saw Harvey squatting outside of Sabrina’s door. Moreover, he was frightened by the other man’s gaze.
“He’s a rookie in Clusia Entertainment and Calvin’s spy.” Sabrina curled the corner of her lips into a smile and leaned against the wall as she adjusted her glasses.
Zayden’s expression changed as he thought, “Calvin’s possessiveness watch over her when she’s participating in a show.”
Sabrina is
way too strong. He even sent someone to
“Have a good rest, and see you tomorrow, Sabrina.” Zayden dared not stay any longer and hurriedly left. His initial plan was to use Clusia Entertainment’s resources for his transformation. Naturally, he wouldn’t offend Calvin for Sabrina’s sake.
As soon as Zayden left, the hint of menace in Harvey’s eyes instantly dissipated and was replaced by grievance and hurt.
Sabrina wanted to ignore Harvey, but the man sitting in front of her door resembled a stray dog that was abandoned by its
master.
“Get out of my way.” Sabrina kicked Harvey, who was sitting on the carpet.
Get out of my way!
However, Harvey wasn’t a “good dog” at all. He reached out and clung to Sabrina’s leg, acting like a drunkard.
Sabrina had seen Harvey in his drunken stupor, and he was much more restrained last time.
This time, the scent of alcohol on the man’s skin was way stronger than usual.
She tried to pull her leg away, but Harvey refused to let her go.
Sabrina instinctively looked around and smacked her forehead as she cursed internally, “Da mn it!”
“Sabbie…” Harvey continued to cling to Sabrina’s leg and raised his head to look at her with big, teary eyes.
He got into character in an instant.
Sabrina gritted her teeth in annoyance and mused, “As expected of a rookie from Clusia Entertainment, he has excellent acting skills.”
“Harvey Kingsley.” At that moment, Sabrina’s curiosity got the better of her. She narrowed her eyes as she pinched the man’s

handsome and dignified countenance. “Everyone in the industry is scrambling to avoid me for fear that they’d offend Calvin. Why aren’t you afraid?
Not only was Harvey fearless, but he was bold enough to flirt with her so blatantly.
