The two ladies got in first and took the back seat, and the two men got into the car later with Terry in the driver’s seat and Jackson in the passenger seat.
As the car glided onto the road, Lisa suddenly had a funny thought. Her tiny car suddenly seemed more majestic with the presence of the Valor Group and White Maple Group CEOs. People would be surprised to know about this.
The two men were silent on the way back. Meanwhile, the two ladies in the back were chattering. Lisa did most of the talking while Serenity listened
“By the way, there’s a popular TV show lately. Have you watched King’s Lower yet?” Lisa asked,
Serenity shook her head. Work had occupied most of her time lately. She worked during the day and came home at night. By the time she was home, she usually browsed the web before going to bed.
“It’s pretty good. The plot.. Ah, I can’t spoil it. I’ll give you the website later. Oh, the lead actor is the same Finn Gorden you loved back then,” Lisa mentioned. She had recently become obsessed with the actor again because of this TV show.
Well, Lisa was a fan for a while, but then she had gotten h ooked on other TV shows and become obsessed with other actors instead. Lisa was definitely one of those unfaithful fans. She could be obsessed with one actor and change her mind the next day.
Serenity blinked, startled. Finn Gordon. It had been a long time since she had heard of the name. Serenity had been a big fan of the star before. She had watched the shows he starred in, contributing to the ratings. She also supported the actor by buying the actor’s endorsements every once in a while.
Whenever Serenity hung out with Lisa, Serenity would introduce Finn’s TV shows to Lisa. She found the actor good-looking and thought he would eventually rise to fame if given the right opportunity.
Listening to Lisa talk about Finn Gorden made Serenity feel like she was back in the old days. She had been tense ever since the conviction. How long had it been since she felt this relaxed?
Serenity was on her way to do something important to her. For some reason, she felt relaxed in the car.
“Alright,” Serenity replied. She thought about it and realized that it had been a long time since she had had time to enjoy some TV shows.
She did not have that chance in prison, and she had not been in the mood to do so after her release from prison. After all, the fatigue of her day-to-day work overwhelmed her.
Serenity was currently working at a small restaurant daily. Her work would end at 9 pin, so she had an hour or two before bed. Her lifestyle had improved with the regular hours. She no longer had to get up as early in the morning as she did when she worked for the Sanitation Office.
Jackson was in the front passenger seat, and he seemed unfazed by the ladies’ conversation, but a gleam flickered in his eyes
As for Terry, he was speechless when he beard Lisa recommending the King’s Lover again.
Lisa had been telling him so much about the show lately, praising the touching story. Of course, her focus was the handsome
male lead.
Lisa described the male lead as the best male damsel in distress. She wished she could teleport to the TV show’s world and comfort the hero, which made Terry annoyed and amused at the same time.
