When Serenity spun around, she found Jackson leaning against the door where the two rooms were connected, his gaze fixed

“My father,” Serenity answered, “I’m going home tomorrow night. Tell the driver not to pick me up at the Sanitation Office.” Jackson’s eyes were thoughtful. “Do you need me to come with you?”
