Cynthia and the group of attackers were speechless.
After all, they were just lying based on the script, and they could not believe Joshua fell for their lies.
“Mr. Neal, actually…” One of the attackers felt a bit guilty and tried to explain that Cynthia really did run faster than them.
Joshua glanced at the guy coldly.
A guy in the white t–shirt quickly chimed in, “Mrs. Neal was indeed faster than us, but this was because she had asked us to slow down and not catch up with her.”
“Yes, yes, that’s right.”
“That was the case.”
Other attackers chimed in and went along, and the guy in the white t–shirt frowned at the person who almost revealed the truth, obviously unhappy.
Cynthia saw everything.
“What are you still doing here?” Joshua was furious and could not hold back his anger.
The attackers left, leaving Cynthia no chance to question any of them.
Yoel saw that the attackers had left and immediately started the car, turned around, and parked on the side. Before he could
say anything, Yoel saw Cynthia shake off Joshua’s hand and show some anger on her usually calm face.
Yoel intervened at the right time, “Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal, let’s discuss this matter when we get back.”
Cynthia corrected, “Just call me Cynthia.”
Joshua was emitting a cold aura.
Yoel gulped but still changed the way he addressed her. “Ms. Yates, who were those people just now, and why were they attacking you?”
At the mention of this, the atmosphere instantly became tense.
Cynthia turned around and walked away, with no intention of going back with Joshua.
“Stop!” Joshua shouted angrily.
Cynthia ignored him.
Joshua grabbed her hand from behind and forcibly pushed her into the car, ordering Yoel to drive.
Yoel drove the car nervously, keeping his eyes on the road.
Cynthia had planned to scold him but then thought, why bother getting angry with a dog?
He was taking her away to ask why she did what she did and why she framed Jayleen.
It did not matter.
The car drove for over an hour and finally arrived at Sovereign Heights.
Yoel opened the door, still trembling with fear. He could not understand why Joshua was still angry with Cynthia, considering she was being attacked just now.
Joshua dragged Cynthia over.
If Cynthia did not have such strong willpower, she would have thrown him over her shoulder. However, she could not fully reveal her abilities, including her martial arts skills, in case anything unexpected happened before their divorce was final.

Joshua slammed the door loudly. Then, he threw Cynthia onto the sofa and looked at her..
“Why did you do that? How did you know about my schedule?”
“Who told you? Who did you ask?”
“Cynthia!”
“There’s no need to shout. My ears are fine.”
“I gave you what you wanted, and you agreed to the divorce. So why did you hire people to beat you up and frame Jayleen?”
Joshua questioned, “What are you trying to do?”
Cynthia suddenly became curious and stood up. Even though she was 1.7 meters tall, she was still much shorter than Joshua.
She stared at him and asked, “Why do you believe everything everyone else says except me?”
