Mr. Ethan Your Wife Is Getting A Divorce Chapter 9

9 What happens in the bar, stays in the bar: The date

The atmosphere that afternoon was really tense, Ethan walking up to me after we had lied about me having a date was a miracle.

Everything happened at a fast pace and I still can’t believe I stood up to Ethan- The ETHAN DAWSON! I went from a sad and depressed wife to Madame sassy in a few minutes.

“Are you really going to the bar with him? “Ethan queried, looking at me with puzzled, angry eyes.

“Yes” I swiftly replied in a haughty tone, swinging my blazing red lipstick from left to right and admiring my figure in the wide mahogany standing mirror at the dressing table.

“You’re going on a date with a total stranger at night and in a bar? Do you think it’s safe?” He held my hands and in his eyes I could see a hint of care and affection.

Could the Aphrodisiac still be working? I thought to myself because I had never seen him so concerned, especially about me.

His name should be killing joy as opposed to Ethan because he sure knows how to ruin a cute moment and kill the spark in the moment.

As I was busy daydreaming and thinking he’s becoming kind, he suddenly cuts in

“Not like I care about you, if something bad happens to you my reputation will be at stake. My mum would also kill me because it seems these days she loves you more than me.‘

I paid no attention to him and continued with my makeup but he continued annoyingly—

“Where’s the bar? What’s the name of the bar and what route will you be taking? I need to know so I can keep an eye on you…. I meant just to know where you are.”

“Black rum. It’s three blocks away so I wouldn’t stay out long.” I replied, picking up my purse and

walking out the room.

I hopped into the black BMW in the garage and drove out slowly, I began to reminisce back to how a decision made in the spur of the moment, borne out of jealousy, has now morphed into a date. I’m hoping the date goes bad so I don’t have to keep up the charade.

My date, James, a tall ginger head in his mid–thirties, had walked up to me at the restaurant yesterday while I had dinner with Isabella at ‘Oysters‘.

“Hi ladies, you look beautiful. Do you mind if I buy you dinner?”

I had wanted to refuse but then I glanced over at Ethan sitting calmly at the other table with his unusual date—Maya!

I felt a sudden emotion of jealousy wash through my face, my eyes flickered when she made to feed him from her own plate.

His attention seemed to be divided between my table and his date and ‘she‘ seemed to be upset. I

guess my eagerness to make Ethan jealous stopped me from thinking straight and I immediately jumped at his offer for a date.

The ride to this bar feels so long, a part of me desperately wants to go back home, to cuddle under the duvet and have Ethan grab me like the other night, our skins rubbing against each other and his lustful flesh hard against my skin, our breaths?

Heaving loudly as we engage in a worldly embrace. The slight thought of it made me shiver with pleasure, I was so carried away that I almost missed my stop and ran over a sign.

The bar was a pretty standard one but it seemed overcrowded and filled with questionable people.

I’m sure I can trigger about three gang members and two Mafia bosses if I played a police siren tone on my phone. I felt a bit uncomfortable but I had to bear with it until the time I left the date.

I strode into the bar and went straight for a Bar height stool close to the bartender..

“Good day ma’am, what would you like to have?” I wished I was on a date with the bartender instead, he looked so cool with his hair combed through and gelled to the left side of his face accentuating his chiseled chin to top it up he’s very polite and good with his words.

I think I must have mistakenly taken an aphrodisiac because my behavior comes as a surprise to me

as well.

“Give us two of your finest whiskey’s” James said without inquiring what I wanted, what makes him think I would drink a whisky?

“No, I would prefer something else”

“What? A fizzy drink?” James replied in a sarcastic tone coupled with an annoying laughter. Ethan might be snarky and annoying but it was definitely not up to what I’m witnessing right now.

The bartender was clearly not having it as he shot a really nasty look at Thomas who by this time had

told me to call him ‘Jamie‘.

“Let the lady decide what she wants.”

He said looking very displeased. This obviously did not go down well with James as his countenance changed immediately. He shook his cup and took a sip out of it; little did I know this was about to be the worst day of my life.

“I think I would love a cocktail. Give me your finest”

“That’s too weak, can’t you have something more to get in the mood?” He said winking at me and shining a disgusting smile.

“What mood?” I felt a light press on my thighs as he tried getting closer to me, I quickly dusted his hands off like he had leprosy ambit he brought his hands back and drags it upwards.

I jumped out of my seat and asked to use the bathroom, scurrying off quickly to the corner of the bar and slightly making the bend into the lady’s restroom whilst ignoring the couple kissing passionately in the hallway, I got into the stall and sat on the toilet and burst out in tears.

I look at the note the bartender had passed to me over the counter and unfolded it, I wasn’t prepared

for its content

“Your date is a creep; he brings unsuspecting women here and tries to get them drunk so he can have his way with them. Find your way out now!”

“What have I gotten myself into?” I sobbed into my palms, I whipped out my phone in a bid to phone

Ethan.

I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible as James was beginning to get creepy and I was scared.

I know I’m in the process of a divorce but I don’t want to lose my life, I had just one plan: create a distraction and get out of there without James noticing me.

I got out of the restroom and found the perfect distraction. I poured the contents of the mop bucket away causing people to stumble.

I found my way out but was unfortunately followed out by James to the underground parking lot.

He pulled my hands back and pinned me to the car against my incessant begging, he ran his hands down my hair and looked at me seductively.

“Leave me alone. If you do anything stupid I’ll get you jailed for life! I said struggling for my freedom.

“What happens in the bar stays in the….” As he made it to complete his speech, a clenched fist pounced off his face and dark red blood sprayed out his mouth.
