Married in Nmae only : Shall We Part Ways Today ? Novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39
Paige saw all these men last night at the cafe. They seemed to be Allen’s friends.
Oliver was the first one to notice Paige and his eyes lit up.
When Hugh saw Mira, a surprised look crossed his face and then he frowned.
Jacey was happy to see Hugh’s reaction. She leaned closer to Hugh. She would throw herself at Hugh if she could.
“Mira, I didn’t expect to see you again so soon.
Chad took off his sunglasses, put on a bright smile, and waved at Mira. “Oh, this is….. Paige? You two know each other.”
“Chad, who is this lady?” Only then did Oliver look at Mira.
Zackary leaned to whisper in his ear, “Hugh’s…”
Oliver’s eyes popped in astonishment. He thought, “Is this lovely girl the vixen who abused Hugh that night?”
What a contrast!
“Chad, how did you know each other?” Mira got alert in front of the other three men.
Mira married Hugh on behalf of Paige. She was right next to Paige, who was supposed to be his wife. If these men found that out, Mira and Paige were dead meat.
Paige was confused. She didn’t expect Mira to know Allen’s friends.
“They’re Allen’s friends. They were drinking coffee at my cafe.
Mira couldn’t believe Paige had just said that.
Mira couldn’t breathe.
Mira cursed in her heart, “What the f uck is this?”
Paige married Allen, and Mira married Hugh. It turned out that Hugh and Allen were friends.
Mira cursed inwardly, “F uck!”
Unfortunately, Paige didn’t realize that.
Mira thought, “No, I need to save us.
Mira cleared her throat softly and whispered in Paige’s ear, “That guy
in a blue shirt and next to the woman is Hugh. That dying guy from the Leopold family.”
Paige was speechless.
She thought, “So he has been my intended fiancé since I was a kid.”
Paige shuddered.
Then she came to her senses.
Paige thought, “Kill me. What a small world!”
“What are you whispering? Oh, both of you are surnamed Boyle. Does that mean…” Chad smiled.
Hugh was reminded by Chad and asked Mira, “Is she your father’s…”
“Yes, I’m Mira’s stepmother’s daughter,” Paige answered immediately.
A scornful look crossed Jacey’s face. “It’s rare that people get along
with their stepparent’s kids. They often fight each other, right? But you two… You two seem to be closer than full sisters.”
