Chapter 31
Hugh was totally naked. His wet hair clung to his head. Drops of water glistened down his forehead and ears.
Mira blushed. She glanced at Hugh and then jumped aside like a startled rabbit. “Hugh, what’s wrong with you? Don’t you feel ashamed?”
“You left me no choice. “Hugh made the decision in anger. But when he walked out and saw Mira’s red face, Hugh raised a naughty smile.
“You “You want me to beg you. So, here I am begging you. Do you like it?”
Hugh pinched Mira’s chin and made her look at him. “Your face is so red. I thought you would never be shy.”
Hugh went closer and closer. Mira could smell the scent of body wash and water from him. She panicked a little.
“Go away!”
In a panic, Mira reached out to Hugh’s strong chest subconsciously and pushed him back.
Mira had learned fighting skills and was strong. Hugh staggered and hit the wall behind him. He shuddered suddenly.
“Go to put on your clothes, jacka**,” Mira scolded with a red face and then ran out of the room angrily.
Watching her run out in a hurry, Hugh couldn’t help but smile.
He thought, “I finally know what she can’t resist.”

Hugh looked down at his own chest, recalling the moment Mira put her hands on his chest. He thought, “Mira has small and soft hands.

Hugh’s expression became gloomy immediately.
Hugh thought, “I must have been single for too long. I won’t like her.”
Hugh got changed, found his phone, and saw the texts Zackary and Chad sent to the group chat last night.
Instantly, Hugh regretted just pinching Mira’s chin but not punishing her harder just now.
Because of Mira, Hugh was embarra**ed and didn’t sleep well last night.
Therefore, when Hugh went downstairs for breakfast, his stunning face looked cold. Even Brenden and Taryn started thinking about whether they had done something terrible to him.
Brenden ordered, “Have your breakfast. Then, you and Mira can move out.”
Hugh raised his head and forced a smile. “Why? Dad, do you find Mira too annoying and want me to move out with her? In that case, even if she causes trouble again, only I will be bothered.”
Brenden didn’t know what to say.

After a pause, Brenden said to Mira, “Mira, don’t take it wrong. We all like you.”
Mira was speechless, thinking, “I’m not going to believe that, of course.”
Hugh sneered, “Anyway, I won’t move out. You set us together. You should know what I am going through.”

Brenden was so angry that he wanted to bang the table. But Hugh
stood up first. “I’m full. I’m going to work.”
Then, the maid’s voice came from the door. “Mr. Alfred.”
A tall man walked in. He wore a sky–blue denim shirt and white slacks, with his hands in his pockets. That handsome man was Chad, Hugh’s best friend.
Chad rarely came to the Leopold’s house in the morning.
But after seeing the messages Zackary sent last night, Chad was so curious about Hugh’s arrogant wife. Thus, he came.
“It’s you, the Maserati driver!” Mira was surprised when she saw Chad.
Chad also recognized Mira immediately. The pretty girl sitting at the Leopold family’s dining table was the girl who got into his car accidentally a few days ago. Chad raised a gentle smile. “What a coincidence. We met again so soon. May I know your name?”

Brenden introduced, “This is Mira, Hugh’s wife. Chad, do you know each other?”
Chad was shocked. Then, Chad remembered that in the Leopold’s house that night, Hugh said he put his wife in the other room. It turned out Mira didn’t go next door that night. Instead, she left with her luggage directly.
Chad thought, “No wonder she was nearby when I met her.”
Chad put everything together and instantly knew the whole story.
Out of his expectations, he had met Hugh’s “arrogant” wife already.
Chad explained, “A few days ago, I came to see Hugh and ran into Ms. Bøyle by accident. She carried her luggage with her.”
The Leopold family all knew exactly what had happened that night. Hugh frowned instantly, thinking, “So, the poor girl that Chad talked about that night was Mira.”
Hugh didn’t know it would be such a coincidence.
“Brenden, who is this?” Mira wondered who Chad was.
Brenden grinned, “This is the son of the president of the Alfred Group. He, Hugh, and Zackary are good friends. You met Zackary last night. By the way, Chad is also the youngest aircraft commander in
Chvatsland.”
“An aircraft commander?” Mira was shocked. “But he looks to be in his 20s. I heard that aircraft commanders are usually more than 30 years old.”
Taryn said, “Normally, an aircraft commander requires more than ten years of flight experience. But Chad started flying airplanes when he was thirteen years old. When he was a trainee pilot, his plane ran into
a storm over the sea. Chad saved more than 200 people on that plane by himself.”
“Chad, that was amazing!”
Mira admired heroes. When she watched TV shows with her friends, she found those captains in uniform so charming.
Besides, Chad was a handsome man and was 1.9 meters high. Though born into a rich family, he didn’t look arrogant or look down upon Mira.
Anyway, in Mira’s eyes, Chad was so much better than Hugh.
Mira was surprised that Chad, such a gentleman, was friends with an egoist like Hugh.
Mira couldn’t help but give Hugh a disdainful look.
Hugh happened to see that.
He wondered, “What does that look mean?
“Is she despising me?”
Then, Hugh observed the way Mira looked at Chad. Mira seemed to admire Chad.
Hugh found it annoying.
Hugh loosened his tie. He was a decent man. But at that moment, somehow, Hugh wanted to drag Chad out and punch him.
