Sylvia laughed angrily, and her eyes were filled with even greater contempt. She said, “Even though you have
married into the Leopold family, I promise that your family will still not get any benefit.”
Mira was confused. “If you’re not gonna help us, what do you care if we make our own money? Are we standing in your way? It’s the fact that we have begged others when doing business, yet who doesn’t? Sylvia, not everyone is from the Leopold family. Have you been high up for so long that you’ve lost touch with the ordinary?”
“Mira, you are a junior. Who gives you the courage to lecture me, your elder?”
Sylvia stood up in a fit of rage. It looked like she had the urge to teach Mira a lesson on the spot.

Mira looked up at Sylvia, neither humble nor haughty. “The vast majority of people in this world come from ordinary families. They walk around timidly when being with their superiors for the sake of food and clothing and throw their dignity away for insignificant profits. At the end of the day, it’s all about survival.”

Jacey and Sylvia waited for Mira’s response for a long time. When they saw that Mira was silent after listening to the process, and Mira’s sweet face showed no expression at all, they were a bit anxious.
Sylvia impatiently said, “Jacey is a top performer, and she is famous worldwide. And you? You are no match for her at all. If I were you, I would have been sensible enough to step away.”
“Alright. I’ll step away.” Mira immediately got up and moved away from the sofa she was sitting on. “Ms. Tyler, please take my seat.”
Jacey was speechless.
She could tell that though Mira looked like a pushover, Mira was in fact hard to deal with.

Mira sighed, “Sylvia, if Ms. Tyler is so great in your heart, why don’t you step away? Ms. Tyler is so wonderful that she can do much better than Hugh’s wife. I think she deserves to be Brady’s wife.”
“Mira, how dare you!”
Losing her temper, Sylvia grabbed a gla** from the table and threw it at Mira.

Sylvia was furious and about to come at Mira when Jacey pulled her again. “Sylvia, don’t quarrel with her. Getting angry won’t be good for your health. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have come here today. I’ll leave, and I’ll come visit you some other day.”
Jacey had gotten what she wanted.
So, there was no need for her to stay here any longer.
She was worried that if Sylvia and Mira got into a fight while she was present, Brenden and Taryn would most likely think that she was sowing discord.

Sylvia and Jacey went to the parking lot.

“Jacey, I’m sorry that you have to see that. To tell you the truth, Mira has been pissing me off every day since she has lived with us.”
Sylvia complained, “She even called me old the last time, and I was furious. Yet Brenden likes her somehow”
“Sylvia, it seems to me that she has a bad temper. I’m afraid that your life won’t be easy from now on,” Jacey said sympathetically. “You should try to be tolerant. Nowadays, the cause of many people’s diseases is anger.”
“If I continue to live under the same roof with her, I’m going to get breast cancer” Sylvia felt the same.

Sylvia felt so sorry for her. “Relax, Jacey. Hugh will divorce Mira. By the way, send me the price of the diamond necklace and the watch, and I’ll transfer the money to you. Be good, OK? The gifts are too pricey, and we can’t accept them. Taryn and I are already very happy that you have been thinking about us.”
