Erin and Saber happened to walk by when Sean opened the bathroom door.

Her response instantly made it even more awkward for the other three of them.
Saber knew very well that Alana was talking to Sean about Chandler’s business, but as her boyfriend, it was inevitable for him to feel a little uncomfortable when he saw that. He said, “Alana, I think I forgot to bring sunscreen. Help me look for it in my luggage.”
Saber left upon saying that. Alana laughed and said to Erin, “I’ll be right back. Let’s have a proper chat later!”
Sean and Erin were then left standing in the same place. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and said, “Let’s go and have the creamy spinach soup I made for you early this morning today. You’re a pregnant lady, and if your man is not around, you have to take good care of yourself.”
“You know how to make soup?” Erin asked with a smile.
Sean raised his eyebrow a little. “What do you mean? Are you looking down on me? I’ve told you I’m quite good at cooking. What’s so hard about making soup?”
Erin looked at his palm. “You can’t get water on your hand, yet you still made soup?”
Feeling touched, he said, “Silly girl, have you not heard of a thing called gloves?”
At that moment, Erin’s phone rang. She said, “Go on to the kitchen. I’ll get his call.”
Sean waved and headed toward the kitchen.
Erin walked to the pool outside the living room to answer the call. As soon as the call got through, she said, “Roman, you’re finally calling me. I texted you, but you didn’t reply.”
At that moment, Roman was in his study of his villa back in the country. He was holding a shot of vodka and was looking a little serious.
“Roman?” Erin asked.
Roman down the shot before putting the glass back on the table. He seemed to have made a huge decision.
“Erin, I didn’t reply to your text previously because I’ve been very troubled by something. It’s making me feel very conflicted and miserable. I don’t know what to do to not hurt my friend.”
Feeling confused, Erin asked, “What’s the matter? What happened to your friend?”
Roman said, “I have a good friend who got pregnant recently, but she and her boyfriend are not married yet. Her situation is the same as yours. I just found out her boyfriend is already married, but my friend still had no clue. Do you think I should tell her?”
Erin had not quite connected it to herself yet. She just gave it a thought and asked, “Doesn’t your friend’s boyfriend love her? Why did he
marry another woman?”
Roman was dazed for a few seconds after hearing that, then he said, “Just take it as he has reasons he can’t reveal –
“Is the man also your friend?”
Roman said calmly. “Mm–hmm. He’s also my good friend.”
“That’s going to be tough. Both of them are your good friends, and you said he has his reasons. In any case, if I were her, I can’t accept being lied to like this. What is it that he can’t tell her in person and has to lie to her about? It’s a matter of principle, and it shouldn’t be concealed. If I were you, I would tell the woman the truth,” Erin voiced out what she truly thought.
“But I still have some concerns. I have no idea how it would affect my friend after I tell her the truth. I’m very worried! If you were her, how would you react after learning the truth?” Roman pretended to ask very casually, but his other hand had long been clenched into a fist as he was very nervous.
Erin found this question a little repulsive deep down. Since Roman asked, she would have no choice but to imagine if this happened to her.

Her breathing sounded a little heavy. Roman had been very focused the whole time, so he immediately asked, “Erin, what’s the matter?”

With an extremely serious tone, Roman said. “If you want to find a quiet place to stay one day, you can call me anytime. No matter where it
is, I’ll keep you company! Promise that you’ll take good care of yourself for the sake of your friends like us who love you!”
His unusual behavior gave Erin a faint sense of foreboding. She kept feeling as if Roman had something to say at that moment.
However, Erin did not ask. She just said, “I will. Thank you for your concern, Roman.”
After hanging up the call, Erin did not return indoors immediately. Instead, she chose to sit on the lounge chair. Looking at the
incomparably beautiful view, she suddenly felt dazed like she was in a fake world.
It was too quiet and beautiful here. The sea was too clear. It was as if everything was telling her that she did not belong here. 1
Chandler’s perfect face popped into her head for a brief moment and a question appeared without her realizing it. What if Chandler also did
not belong to her?
It was after she answered Roman’s call that she started to be aware and think about her relationship with Chandler.
Just when she started to connect that the good friend Roman had mentioned was her, she got a text.
The person who texted her was Jack.
Her bodyguard, Jack, had never texted her before. He usually would just call her straight away. Erin’s fingers froze for a while before she
opened the text.
The content of the text read. “Miss Lane, I have something very important to tell you. I can’t keep lying to you anymore. It makes me feel very guilty. Because this has to do with Mr. Frost, I hope you can meet me alone.”
Erin’s mind immediately went blank and her heart suddenly started to pound. She thought of what Roman had told her over the phone
earlier again.
At that moment, she wanted to call Jack immediately. However, thinking of what Jack said, she still texted him instead, “Alright. Where should I meet you?”
Jack quickly replied, “If it’s alright with you, let’s set sail. This matter is too serious. If Mr. Frost’s friends and Hans learn about it, I’ll be in
big trouble.”
A little voice in her head told her maybe she should bring another person along with her. However, after thinking about it, Alana and Sean were both Chandler’s friends and Hans was also his man.
Jack had been with her for some time. No matter if it was his character or his work ethic, he was an honest, dutiful and diligent person. He
had never made any mistakes!
Erin texted him in reply. “Alright. Where should we meet?”
Jack was at a restaurant at that moment. A cold gaze appeared in his eyes as he quickly texted, “Let’s meet at Number 26, Oceanic
Restaurant in twenty minutes.”
Erin agreed, then she returned to the living room to tell Sean that she wanted to get some mangos from the fruit stand. It so happened that there were no mangos in the refrigerator anymore, so she could use that as an excuse.
Sean was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. “Alright. Breakfast will be ready when you get back.”
Erin nodded with a smile and left.
Never would she have known that three years of her life would be ruined after she left!
