Chapter 123 The Cuckold
Percival quickly put on his clothes and stood up while comforting her, “Alright, I won’t say anything. Let’s go back. Our scene is in hall an
hour.”
Megan suggested. “Let’s not leave together. What if we run into someone else? I’ll go first, and you come out five minutes later.”
“Okay.”
Erin, who had been sitting stiffly behind the folding screen all this time, was actually sweating profusely. Megan and Percival were too
busy earlier to notice anything else, but now she just hoped they wouldn’t wander around the west wing out of curiosity.
Finally, Megan left, and Erin breathed a sigh of relief. But Percival would still be around for another five minutes. Erin remained nervous and
listened carefully to Percival’s movements.
Then her worst fear came true–Percival suddenly started walking around. Erin was afraid that he would come to the other side of the
folding screen. What would she do then?
Thinking on her feet, she put on her headphones and opened the music player on her phone. She was mentally prepared for the worst,
which was that Percival might discover her presence!

As he approached, Erin’s nose caught a whiff of the smell of women’s cosmetics and the musky scent of intimacy. As she felt Percival’s warm breath on her nose, Erin let out a scream and opened her eyes in the nick of time. “Don’t kill me Ah!”
Startled by Erin’s sudden scream, Percival fell backward and sat heavily on the ground. He frowned and exclaimed, “Damn it! You scared the hell out of me!”
Erin looked as if she’d just woken up from a slumber as she said, “Mr. Lowe? What are you doing here? I was scared out of my wits just now. I dreamt that a horde of ghosts was coming after me, and I fervently prayed that it was just a dream and wanted to wake up, but I couldn’t! I think I smelled a strange odor, and it instantly woke me up From now on, I won’t take naps in the summer. My God, that was so scary! I need to go back and have some ice cream to calm down.”
With that, she stood up, picked up her script, and walked away.
Percival was stunned and sat on the floor in a daze. It took him a moment to react and curse, “Crazy woman!”
Erin walked briskly ahead, amazed at her impromptu acting skills. She hersell was impressed. She’d been nervous and afraid, and she’d even lied. After all that, she confidently walked out of the hall.

Simon, who was dressed casually, mirrored Erin’s pained expression as he held his chest. “Your head is like a rock! If I didn’t have muscles, I might have had a bruise from that collision!”
Erin widened her eyes; she could hardly believe what she was seeing. The cuckold was standing right in front of her!
Seeing her surprised expression, Simon chuckled and said, “Miss Lane, you haven’t forgotten who I am, have you?”
Erin waved her hand back and forth mechanically and replied, “I know who you are.”
“Then what’s with that expression? While the bump does hurt a little, there’s no need for you to look at me that sympathetically. If you apologize to me, I’ll accept it,” Simon said, despite being bumped into, he seemed to be in a good mood.
“I’m sorry for not watching where I was going.” Erin apologized.
Simon smiled brightly, showing off his pearly white and dazzlingly neat teeth. Erin could tell that he looked particularly different that day. She asked, “Who are you visiting?”

“Say whatever you have to say here. I have important matters to attend to.” he said coldly and impatiently.

She immediately said, “Simon, I don’t care what you need to attend to. But If you don’t let me finish what I have to say, I promise you’ll regret it in the future!”
After saying that, she walked in the direction of the loft. After walking about sixty feel away, she turned around, her expression stern as she looked at him. Because of that look she gave him, Simon thought he had no reason to be hesitant and doubtful. He decided that he might as well listen to what she had to say as it shouldn’t delay him too much.
Twenty minutes later, Erin stood at the top of the high loft, and Simon now stood by her side.
She decisively pressed the button at the door, and the long ascending staircase automatically began to rise slowly, ensuring that no one could climb up while they had their conversation.
Erin’s caution irritated Simon a little. “What do you want to say to me? Why are you so worried that someone might overhear?”
She hesitated for a moment. She knew that if Simon really liked Megan, what she was going to disclose would be a great blow to him. But today, after unintentionally discovering Megan’s infidelity, her conscience told her that she couldn’t keep Simon in the dark.
Thinking about how Chandler had a fiancée all along, and how she didn’t find out about it until much later made her feel like the stupidest fool to have ever existed. Thus, she couldn’t bear to see Simon go through the same thing as her.
“Erin, if you don’t speak now, I’m leaving!” Simon started to feel uneasy as to where this was heading. It was because when Erin looked at him, she had a complex gaze that carried a hint of pily.
With determination, Erin clenched her teeth and said, “Megan is cheating on you!”
