Anna’s vomiting in the corner of the road.
“Sorry, Aunty.” Yana wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She looked at Mama. The look begs for patience. She came to us again.
“You’re really young. Come here..” She came a little closer. “Closer.” She moved forward until Mama pinched his groin. “Ouch, Stop it Aunty” Anna scratched her head.
I just watched them silently. My body appears to be under duress. I think I ran out of energy earlier. Mama is still pinching Anna’s groin. So all you can hear outside the bar is her squealing. People passing by are looking at them. It’s good that I’m a little far from them. If not, I will share the shame that Mama is doing to Anna. The two stopped. They came next to me. I can hear Anna preaching. She just shakes her head and smiles.
We are still waiting for a ride. Anna can’t drive. Mama won’t let her because he’s drunk. I lost my stupor when a car stopped in front of us. The color of the car is dark blue. The passenger seat window rolled down. I saw the staring man.
“Get on board,” he said.
I looked at Anna first. It only looked at the man. His mouth opened, but no words came out. I returned my gaze to the man. I nodded here. I invited Mama to ride in the back. He opened the passenger seat door from the inside.
“I heard you’re not feeling well.” He spoke openly when I sat down.
I closed the door. Wear a seatbelt. I didn’t say a word about what he said.
I catch him looking in the rearview mirror. I saw that Anna was also looking at him. Even though she was drunk, I knew she knew who our driver was today.
“Just drive properly, Mark.” “We might crash,” I said coldly.
They are both my best friends, but I am the one who is stuck with them both. I don’t want anyone to think I’m taking sides. Because they are fragile, friends fell in love, got hurt, and broke up. Who is having a hard time with you two? It’s me, not you. I can’t do anything but support them both. The case is that Anna is really a playgirl. That Witch will never change.
Our ride home was quiet. The drunk fell asleep on Mama’s shoulder. The car stopped where we were staying. Mark and I opened the door together, and Mama opened the door for them.
Mark helps Anna out of the car. He carried her into the house in bridal style.
“My shoulder hurts, Honey.” Mama massaged his shoulder. “Let’s just apply some soap later.” We entered the house. Mama went straight to the kitchen. I caught up with Mark as he came down the stairs. I think he has already put Anna to bed.
“Mama, please take care of Anna first.” Mark and I will just talk.” I looked at Mark and nodded.
Mark put his arm around me when we left the house. “What do you say, bro?” Look at me at the same time. If you look at us from a distance, we look like in a relationship right now. Is Mark’s face close to mine?
“Stay away. “Your face is irritating.” I turned his face away. Because of what I did, the fool burst out laughing. “You’re hideous.” I laughed too.
He stopped laughing and just smiled. “I missed you, Ugly. “You haven’t made me feel in a long time.” I only answered with a smile. When I got to the front of his car, I spoke.
“How are you?” He was the first to break our silence.
“I’m all right.”
“I heard you were at the Bed of Roses yesterday. “Are you in trouble?” This is a worrying question.
“Nothing. I just want to see a rose again. “The infinite of roses”
“Besides, how did you know I was in the Bed of Roses?” “Your brother told you…” I’m catching up.
He just nodded and smiled. It turned around. Quiet. No cars pass by. After looking around, it looked back at me. He looked at me as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t. It was as if something was holding him back.
“Come inside. I know you’re not feeling well right now. I looked at him carefully.
Is it obvious that I’m sick?
He came up to me and hugged me. “Get well. “We’ll be wandering around Carl,” he said softly in my ear. I hid in response.
“Sorry, Father, if I can’t be with you and Carl. You know, right? “I’m stuck with you two.”
I felt Father’s shoulders shudder. “I missed you calling me that.
“You were the only one Father called.” I heard her laugh.
I called him Father because of how he dressed up in school. He looked like a priest at that time.
He was the first to leave. He held both of my shoulders. He still didn’t stop laughing. “I’ll go first. Go inside.” I nodded. He got into his car. He honked before he started the car. When his car drove away, I sat on the side of the road.
I bow down. I know that he is still hurt by what happened to the two of them. He just ignored what I said. It hurts a man when the woman breaks up with him first. Not only their hearts but also their egos, which they loved so much, were hurt.
We are real friends. We are both unlucky in love.
I looked up at the stars. in the dark sky. They are good, and they have a lot of friends. They are not alone, as I am, but I saw one star that shines above all others.
The breeze is cold. I just feel it now. I hugged myself. I rubbed the palms of both arms for warmth.
I suddenly felt like someone was watching me now. I don’t want to go inside, but I don’t feel good in my current place. Maybe later someone will suddenly appear from one side.
I stand up. The butt shook. I was about to walk, but I saw a shadow behind the car of one of our neighbors. He was sitting in the back of the car, and I could see his shadow. The light from the pole hits him. Its seat is facing mine. Is it looking at me?
“Who are you?” “Why are you looking at me?” I asked nervously.
