Chapter 7 Why So Annoyed?
Colin sneered and held her thin hand with his fat hand.
“Nothing. I just found out from Tracy that you always drink water, so I added something to it. But don’t worry. Tracy has promised to let you marry me.
Tomorrow, we can get married. I’ll love you and your good daughter,” he declared before pulling her into his arms.
Gladys was stunned.
It became evident that Tracy had used the excuse of delivering a dish to exploit her!
Gladys felt foolish.
Attempting to push Colin away, she found her hand weakened upon contact!
It felt as if she were embracing him!
Jacob Rossi, the first to enter the club, had keen eyes and instantly spotted them in the booth. He exclaimed in shock, “Mr. Bradshaw, isn’t that… your future wife?”
Zachary, upon hearing this, looked over with pride. However, he soon witnessed two people embracing in the dim lights.
The man appeared overweight and lecherous, while
he woman was young and pretty. Her delicate face looked strangely familiar. Zachary quickly recognized her in her delivery uniform.
It was Gladys Almond, who scolded him last night!
Zachary thought, “She is actually making out with an old man here?”
Last night, she had been sharp–tongued and assertive, leading Zachary to believe she had her own pride and was distinct. However, he hadn’t anticipated her current
actions.
A hint of irritation crept over him. Zachary spoke coldly, “She’s not Julie Almond. Don’t compare her to Julie.”

His tone dripped with disgust. Although Zachary didn’t particularly like Julie, he perceived her as decent, kind, and well–behaved–traits that, in his eyes, wouldn’t align with such behavior.
Jacob was perplexed, pondering, “She’s not Julie? Then who is she? Why does Mr. Bradshaw have such a dark expression?”
Considering Zachary’s unique identity and the identical appearance to Julie, the woman before them might have been manipulated by others. To be cautious, Jacob swiftly took out his phone and searched on an app. The results that followed left him stunned!
“Gladys Almond, female, aged 22. Height: 163 cm. Weight: 45 kg. When she was born, she was sent to the countryside to be raised for a superstitious reason.
“She has been dishonest and naughty since her childhood. After being kicked out of school, she is too embarrassed to come out and stays at home all day.
“Even her grandmother was so mad at her that she went to the hospital due to cerebral palsy. The treatment bills have been paid by her older sister. Now, she fools around with some men…”
“Oh, they look the same, but they’re so different in character! Luckily, you will marry Ms. Julie Almond. Otherwise…” Jacob sighed.
Zachary glanced at the information about Gladys, and his handsome face became gloomier as if there had been frost.
He didn’t expect her to be so terrible.
But it had nothing to do with him. He thought, “Why so annoyed?”
He opened his lips coldly. “It will never happen. So forget it. Let’s go.”
“OK, Mr. Zachary.”
They disappeared from the hall.
Seeing this in the dark, Julie put on a smug smile.
She had known that Zachary would come here tonight, so she asked Tracy to book a table in the club. As for the information about Gladys, Julie was well–prepared and had faked it four years ago.
