Chapter 19 The Accident
Gladys was unaware of Zachary’s thoughts. As soon as the car stopped at the mall, she opened the door and got out with Mars.
It was actually a wholesale market selling all kinds of goods. It was very busy, packed with people..
Mars had never been to such a place before. He was excited.
Gladys picked clothes for him carefully, now checking the styles, now feeling the materials.
The three of them were eye–catching. Zachary’s innate noble and graceful air charmed many women.
Zachary didn’t like it, though. He ordered in a cold voice, “Be efficient.”
Gladys looked at him and shook her head. “Sorry, Mr. Bradshaw, I can’t.
Children have delicate skin. Their clothes must be made of 100% cotton. Also, there’s security to consider. The rope on this kind of clothes tends to go around the neck. So, I have to be careful. If you can’t wait, you can go. I’ll look after Mars.”
Damn! Was Gladys giving him an order? Or did she hope him to leave?
With a frosty face, Zachary ignored her.
Gladys shrugged and continued to pick clothes. By the end of the afternoon, she finally bought 30 outfits with satisfaction.
When they were about to leave, a woman wearing thick makeup suddenly bumped into Mars.
Mars was sent flying. His body hit the glass railing, which shattered instantly.
Mars fell outward involuntarily.
They were on the second floor.
It was six meters high.

The fall would be deadly.
Seeing the accident, the on–lookers shrieked from fright.
Zachary was paying the bill. Hearing the scream, he looked back and saw Mars sent flying. Blood drained from his face. “Mars!”
He dashed over immediately.
Before he could take a step, Gladys, who was close to Mars, recovered from the shock and held the boy without hesitation.
While everyone was watching, she fell with Mars.
The crowd screamed louder.
Two seconds later, the sound of something stumbling to the floor came.
The first floor and the second floor became chaotic at once.
Zachary was dumbstruck when he saw Gladys hold Mars at the last minute. When he regained his senses, he rushed downstairs.
The spacious lobby was crowded.
Gladys and Mars had fallen on the huge inflatable castle. Gladys was under Mars, still holding the boy.
“The inflatable castle saved their lives.“”
“The mother risked her life to save her son. What a great mother.”
“I wonder if they’re OK.”
Zachary pressed through the crowd and checked Mars‘ condition immediately. Seeing that the boy was fine, he looked at Gladys, who was beneath.
She was pale with knitted brows, clearly in pain.
Zachary asked, “Are you OK?”
Gladys‘ insides hurt a lot. But, regardless of that, she looked at Mars and asked, “How’s Mars? Was he hurt?”
Damn! She was still concerned about the boy in this situation!

A weird feeling rose in Zachary’s heart. His eyes dimmed. He picked up Mars and said, “He’s fine. Stay still.”
Then, he took out his phone and called Timothy. “Come to Silver Plaza as soon as possible.””
Timothy worked at a hospital nearby. Hearing what happened, he came immediately. “Little boy, you fell? Let me examine you.”
Mars was the apple of Zachary’s eye, the heir of the Bradshaw family. Nothing could happen to him.

“Mars is fine. Examine her.” For the first time, Mars wasn’t Zachary’s priority. The
woman was..
Timothy was shocked. Since when did Zachary care about someone else?
And this woman was his daughter–in–law…
