Chapter 12
Evelyn put on a naughty smile. “But I always remember to get you involved.”
The person on the other side of the phone realized that there was no hope left now.
“Bye.” Evelyn hung up the phone and picked the wine bottles up from the ground.
When she remembered that she would live in Jackson’s house tomorrow, she frowned and went to the locker room to pack up her stuff.
She did not have many things to take besides some clothes.
Perhaps she had spent her days in the troop, she did not have any clothes with fashion designs. All she had was some basic and comfortable clothes.
When she saw the beautiful dress, her eyes turned red.
She prepared it for her wedding with Caden. But now she married a different guy.
She held out her hand and touched the dress. Then she rolled the dress
and threw it at the corner of the locker to abandon it.
Her phone rang at this moment.
She took out her phone and checked.
It was a message from Eric.
It read, “I’m at home now.”
Evelyn hesitated for a while and texted back nothing. She just quit Line.
Her phone rang again when she was about to put it on the table nearby.
She smiled when she checked the member.
“Hello, Lola.”
“Eve, I think I’m going to die.” Lola sounded weak.
“Why?” Evelyn knew what Lola was talking about and was not anxious.
“Because of my period! Eve, should I get a man and have a kid. It’s said to be helpful.” Lola had a brainstorm.
Hearing that, Evelyn stopped packing her clothes. “Didn’t you decide not to get married? Do you have a different opinion now?”
16:56
“No. I was joking. It hurts too much.”
“Where is your manager? Doesn’t he prepare medicine for you?” Evelyn was eager to help, yet Lola was not in Lavine City now. Evelyn could not ease Lola’s pain with words.
“I’m unwilling to bother him at night. And he is a man after all.”
“Yes. So get some painkillers and take a rest.” Evelyn smiled.
“Okay. I’ll take a sleeping pill and won’t feel any pain after I fall asleep.”
Evelyn hurried to stop Lola. “No. That’s not what should take.”
“Got it, my housekeeper. When will you marry Caden? You told me that you will leave the troop and get married.”
Evelyn got silent for a while. Then she returned word by word.
“I’ve left the troop now. And I’ve married.” Evelyn knew that Lola would be shocked to hear that.
Lola sat up from the bed, the pain on her body seeming to disappear.
“What? You’ve married! Why don’t you tell me?”
“I’m not married to Caden.” Evelyn shocked Lola with one more piece of
news.
“Wait, wait. I need some time.” Lola could not get all the news.
Knowing that Lola must be confused now, Evelyn did not continue.
“Now tell me, who did you marry?” Lola was able to put up questions a while later.
“Eric Jackson.” With that, Evelyn put the phone away from her ears. She did the right thing as Lola shouted loud in the next second.
“Evelyn Morris, what’s wrong with you? Instead of Caden, you marry a pla yboy!”
“Do you know Eric?” Evelyn realized that she was a fool to ask such a question.
As the most famous actress in the country, Lola had cooperated with many brands and knew a lot of wealthy heirs.
“Of course. Tell me, why don’t you marry Caden?” Lola cared about the different things.
Evelyn narrowed her lips. “He has another woman.”
“What? How dare he cheat you? I’ll give him a good lesson when I’m back

to Lavine City.” Lola was furious and cursed Caden as she would always stand by her friend’s side.
“It’s not his fault. I have to say that we’re not matched,” Evelyn said. Then she thought of many details. He never said love words to her. He did not do intimate action to her. And he was only willing to kiss her cheeks.
That was not what a pair was supposed to do after falling in love for several years.
It was true that they did not have much time to spend with each other when she was in the troop. But he should not be so indifferent to her.
She had taken his attitude as his respect for her. Now she realized it was because he did not love her.
“Eve, sorry. I should be with you and fight with that woman.” Lola was guilty.
“Don’t say that. I don’t know who she is.” Therefore, there was no fight between them.
Besides, Caden was the one to blame as he betrayed her. It had nothing to do with another woman.
“Why did you marry Eric? Don’t you know those rumors about him?” Lola was worried.
“Because of impulse. I can tell that he is not a bad guy. I don’t care about how other people comment on him.” Evelyn spoke out her thoughts.
She had once been lost. Yet now she was clear about what she wanted.
“You’re too confident about yourself. Did your grandparents know it?” Lola knew that she could not stop Evelyn when Evelyn had a decision.
“Not yet. I’m trying to get a proper time.” Evelyn did not know how to tell them the news.
“They’ll be shocked. Before that, tell Jane about it. Your grandparents will be safe with Jane around.”
“No need. My grandparents are healthy. I’m afraid of asking for her help. She charges me a lot.” Evelyn refused the proposal. Jane was a strong-minded woman who never offered a discount for her friends’ medical fees.
“What? You don’t lack money, do you?” Lola mocked.
“Okay. I’ll figure it out. Stop worrying about me. Are you painful now?” Evelyn asked curiously.
16:56
“Oh, it hurts! It’s your fault. You should not remind me!”
“What a wonderful performance! I understand why you’re the Best Actress. Bye. I’m packing things. I’ll live in Eric’s family tomorrow.” Evelyn did not take that seriously, knowing that Lola was a drama queen. “Wait! I have some secrets of surviving the disputes in wealthy families!” Lola shouted, yet she was later.
Evelyn had hung up the phone already.
