Chapter 25 “What is going on?” I ask them. “We have to go.” Colt repeats getting up. He grabs my arm and gets me to my feet. Dash and the pack member pick up all the bags from the floor and we start to walk in the direction of the elevators. pull on his hand. “Colt, you need to tell me what is going on.” His face is stoic and it won’t tell me anything. I see him look back at the men and then he starts walking faster. When we reach the elevator, Dash and the pack member go in first. Colt pushes the closing button but steps out of the elevator with me. “Leave.” He tells Dash. “They saw me. If we don’t make it back, tell my father not to do anything rash. I will find my way back.” Dash gives him a nod with a worried expression as the door closes. “Colt!” I say with urgency. “No time, Cass. Come on. I’ll explain on the way.” He goes to the side of the elevators where there is a door that leads to the stairs. Chapter 22 Ezra gets near to the window which Colt starts to close. “Don’t go, Cass! Just wait! Let’s talk about this!” “Go,” the Alpha says to Colt as he tries to hold Ezra back. “Go!” Colt says to the driver. Dash sits in the front, next to the driver. “Go! Now!” “Cass!” Ezra shouts.

Chapter 21  “You are crazy! What kind of Luna are you?!” I shout at her  but she makes no attempt to  answer.  After a long walk into the  woods, we come across an area mounted with shrubs,  natural debris, and fallen  trees. Under these clutters  that the guards move aside there is a trap door. When  they open it, they carry me  down to what looks like a  bunker. It is clearly  abandoned.  They entrapped me to a wall  shackled in chains.  I realize that I am scared to  die because, for the first  time, I have something that I  truly want in my life. I want  Colt. I want what he offers  truly cares about me.  I look at her, determined to  buy some time. “What are you going to do? You kill me and Colt will never forgive you, Erza either! I am still his  mate and he will feel it in his  core!”  “You are the cancer to this  pack. If I allow you to go on, your influence will grow too powerful. And I don’t want you anywhere near my children. They will be upset, yes but eventually they will forget. I rather they hate me than to deal with you.”  “You are clearly not fit to be Luna anymore, mother.” Colt suddenly appears from the  shadows behind her.  “Colt!” I shout with relief.  “How?! How did you find this place? Not even your father  knows about it and so fast!”  He walks past her in my direction and starts to  meddle with my retrains.  “Mother…for the last three  years, I have been part of an elite tracking team for the Dark Fang pack. You could  not have been easier to track  even if you had left clues on purpose for us.”  I can see behind him Dash  with his arms crossed,  leaning on a wall, and a disapproving expression on  his face.  Colt releases my hands and  rubs my wrists. “Are you  hurt?”  I shake my head. “Nothing I 

Chapter 20  “Wouldn’t it be better to eat  in your room? I really don’t want to have to see Ezra.”  “He won’t be there. He never  eats at breakfast time  downstairs. Besides, you  can’t hide forever from him  and as long as you are with  me, I will not let him hurt  you. Needless to say, don’t come downstairs by  yourself.”  “Yeah, you don’t have to tell  me twice.”  “Tell me, Bryn, why  shouldn’t she come down  here? And mind you, choose  your words carefully.” He  tells her.  She opens her mouth but  closes it as she considers his  words. Irritation washes over  her face but she stays quiet.  “So Ezra is your mate?” Miles asks me bluntly.  It takes me by surprise but I lowly nod.  “Huh? Aren’t Alphas usually supposed to be mated to  strong she–wolves? Usually  Stepping through the dining room doors, I brace myself.  The room is full of pack  members and the moment  they see us, everyone quiets  down.  Thankfully Ezra is nowhere to be seen here but Kaecy, Bryn, and Miles are here.  The tension and silence are  killer.  “Are you serious?” Bryn asks.  “What?” Colt asks.  “You are bringing her down  here?”  “Mh…after this…we should  take another shower  together.”  I roll my eyes at him. “WE just got out of the shower. I am clean enough.”  “Not the point.”  “I know your point. It was  hard enough as it was. Or do you like to be tortured?”  “No. So maybe you should 

Chapter 19  Ezra starts wheezing. He is  unable to breathe because of  the pressure of Colt’s hand.  You can see the veins  popping from Colt’s arm showing how much force he is using on Ezra. Colt  suddenly lifts Ezra up by the  scruff.  This is no small feet. Ezra is  an Alpha male wolf. All  Alpha male wolves are big, unlike female Alphas who  are normal size for  werewolves.  Colt swings Ezra and throws him. Ezra crashes through a set of doors, breaking them.  But as soon as Ezra falls to the ground, he gets right back up and lunges at Colt. Colt lifts his leg up and kicks  Ezra right on the chest as Ezra jumps in mid–air  towards him. It is with such  force that Ezra whines the  moment he hits the ground and though he tries to get up, he chooses not to.  “Stay down!” Colt shouts.  Ezra does just that. I am sure  he is hurt but he obeys more  because of the commanding  and seriousness in Colt’s  tone.  Colt looks at me with frantic  eyes. “Are you okay?!”  Feeling exhausted, all I can  do is stare at him as I take in  deep breaths still in my wolf  form.  He picks me up and carries me up the stairs with ease.  He takes me to his room and  then his bathroom. He then  puts me inside the bathtub  and turns on the warm  water.  “Shift, baby girl.” He says in a  soothing tone.  I do as he says.  I whine feeling the pain of my wounds shift from place as my body returns to  human form. The moment I  have my voice back, I cry. The wounds are deep and really hurt but I will live. It is clear that Ezra was not trying to kill me though he could have even if it was by  accident.  “You are staying with me from now on.” He says as he  starts to clean my body with  a small towel.  I am not even going to argue about it. Colt was right. I  think it’s the best. Seeing  Ezra like this scared me. 

Chapter 18  “What do you mean?” I ask  him as we walk towards the  field.  “I know I told you that you didn’t have to stay with me  but now I think that you  should,” Colt says.  “No. Why?” As we walk  towards Lauren, people  around us stare. I am sure  gossip has started.  “Because Cass…when Ezra  jumped at you in the war room, he was trying to mark  you.”  “What!?”  “And I don’t think he is going  to stop.”  I narrow my eyes at him. “Are you just saying this to get me to stay with you?”  “No. I am not. I am really  concerned.” I can see it on  his face. He is telling the  truth.  “What is going on?” Lauren  asks walking up to us.  “People are talking about you  two.”  I sigh. “A lot has happened.”  “Cass, I think I have to talk to  my dad again. Don’t go anywhere by yourself. Stay with your sister until I come  back.” Colt says.  “Okay, okay. Go.” I tell him.  “I mean it, Cass.”  I give him an irritated nod.  He is fussing a bit too much.  After he leaves, I tell Lauren  everything that happened.  “What the hell?! Now Ezra  wants you?! What a f**king prick!” she says.  I nod agreeing with her but  she looks at me with  concern. “How do you feel  about that?”  “I feel nothing other than anger. I told you. I have no feelings towards him. No good feelings anyway.”  “Are you sure? He is your  mate.”  “I am sure, Lauren. That ship has sailed. I want nothing  with him.”  “And with Colt?”  At that question, I pause. “I  don’t know.”  “You seem comfortable with  him right now.”  “I am…I

Chapter 17  I continue to release my anger by punching Ezra over and over again even though mostly I am hitting him in the arms because he blocks  his face with them. But then  I am suddenly pulled from  behind by the hair.  “Get off of him!” Bryn  shouts.  She manages to get me off of Ezra. I fall to the ground and  then she kicks me on the  side of my ribs.  The pain doesn’t register at  all. I get to my feet and as I am getting up, I put all my weight into my lunge, taking  her down with me. We roll  on the ground trying to take  a bite out of each other. Even  though we don’t shift, these are definitely our wolves fighting.  She gets the upper hand on me and gets on top of me. Bryn lifts her hand up with  her claws out and then  swipes down at my face. Luckily, she suddenly goes flying back and I do mean flying. It takes a few seconds  for her to come back down  and hit the floor with a loud  thud.  Colt growls at her and Ezra with his fangs and claws out.  Ezra quickly helps Bryn up.  She looks hurt but is still  fine.  “What are you all doing?!”  The Luna and Alpha run  outside.  “Are you crazy?!” Bryn  screams at me taking deep  breaths.  “Yeah! Apparently, I am!” I scream back as I get up.  “Everyone here is quick to call someone crazy when  they lose it but no one takes into consideration how they  got to that point! And you two are part of those reasons!” I point at them.  “Shut your mouth, you filthy girl!” The Luna says walking in our direction.  “Let her speak!” Colt growls at her and suddenly takes me in his arms in a hug.  This shuts everyone up, even  not in front of everyone.  The Luna stops in her tracks  with wide eyes. The way she  was coming my way was the way she always had done  when she was about to strike  me but Colt’s words made  her freeze.  The rage inside of me suddenly diminishes when  he starts to caress my hair  and I am even more stunned  now.  The Alpha steps closer but  looks calm. “What is 

Chapter 16  “Colt-” I try to speak but he won’t let me. He bites my  bottom lip and I almost  moan.  His hand goes inside my shirt and he caresses my stomach. I do nothing to stop it. I like his touch. I like the rough prickles of his stubble against my skin as he  kisses me. He moves to my  neck and it feels even better.  I slightly moan unable to keep it in. His hand starts  going down my stomach and  then down my waist. This time, it is really hard to stop  him.  I suddenly feel pressure on my crotch area when his  hand touches me and a  pleasurable sensation shoots up my inside and stomach. I immediately moan and he grunts still kissing my neck.  “D–don’t.” I finally say.  He pulls his hand back just a bit. “Don’t you want to try?”  I do but I am not sure if I  should.  “Uhm…I don’t know…I don’t  want it to go too far.” I say.  “I won’t.” He kisses me again and now his hands start to go  down. This time I make no  attempt to stop him.  His hand touches me again. It is over my clothes but it still makes me feel so good.  I moan. I’ve never heard  myself sound like this  before. I would be  embarrassed if I wasn’t more  focused on the sensations  that my body is feeling.  “Moan for me, Angel,” he  whispers in my ear. “Let me  hear the beautiful raw  melody.”  My left hand clutches his shoulder while my right  grabs the back of his head  and takes his hair in a fist.  “Mh!”  “Just like that,” he whispers,  his hand rubbing circles in  that sensitive area between  my legs.  He sounds almost desperate  too.  “Uh! Mh!”  “Mhh…” he softly moans.  When he is not whispering  in my ear, he is staring at my face. watching my every expression.  “You look f**king gorgeous right now.”
