Chapter 103  “So you’re playing the violin for them?  Ellinor said, “You think I want to? Its because some people intentionally spread rumours about the principal and me, causing misunderstandings among most of my classmates Only when I play the violin will they apologize! The principal is an elder I deeply respect, so I have to help him clear things up!”  After hearing thes, Theo looked at her sideways, then leaned in closer. “So why arent you helping me clear things up?”  Suddenly a handsome face popped up Ellinor jumped  “What should I help you clear up?”  As Theo spoke, he leaned in closer  “You need to clarify that I am your husband”  The word husband falling into her ears made Ellinors heart flutter  Regaining her serises, Ellinor instantly replied with disgust, Forget it! I don’t want people to know that I got married so early. I still want to marry the person I like in the future”  Hearing her mention a future husband, Theo sarcastically replied “Really? Id like to see who dares to marry a woman like you?”  Feeling belittled by him. Ellinor asked unhappily, “What’s wrong with me?”  The replied with an unhappy tone Ms Mendoza is so fierce, you would kiss any random stranger outside What kind of person are you?”  Ellinor responded angrily I told you, that was an accident  The driver suddenly hit the brakes Due to inertia, the two of them, face to face, unintentionally leaned in, their lips colliding and then bouncing back…  Straightening up. Theo backed away from her, “Sorry”  He didn’t mean to  Ellinor Blushed, the wanted to be angry, but the didn’t feel that mad  The awkward part was she had just emphasized that her first time grabbing him and kissing him was an accident, and just now he obviously didn’t mean to. How could she  That would only make her more embarrassed  question him  She didn’t say anything, only pushed Theo away, furiously wiped her mouth, turned her head, and rolled down the window, letting the wind blow, pretending like nothing had happened  Seeing Ellinor like this. Theo was momentarily captivated  The car stopped, the driver went to check, then came back to report “Mr Blanchet, there’s been a car accident ahead, causing a traffic jam, f’m afraid we won’t be able to pass for a while ”  Traffic jams were the most annoying  Theo rubbed his temples, suddenly heard the sound of the car door opening  He turned his head and saw that Ellinor was already out of the car  “Where are you going?”  “There’s a subway station ahead. I’m taking the subway home.”  Ellinor replied casually, then walked away  There’s a traffic jam, she didn’t want to sit in the car and wait with him!  After two seconds of silence. Theo also got out of the car.  Collin, who was sitting in the passenger seat, immediately followed, but was stopped by Theo’s cold command.  “You can leave work how don’t follow me‘  Collin could only stop “Alright  Watching Mi Blanchet follow Ms Mendoza from a distance, he was a bit worried Theo had never taken the subway before, what if  And did Mr Blanchet have feelings for Ms Mendoza  The traffic near the subway statiofi was also bad, it was jammed  A car was stuck in the traffic, unable to move forward or back  In the car was Sheila and her parents, who had just finished signing a contract with a new company and were happily on their way home after dinner with the manager Today the Blanchet Corporation’s film and television company officially signed her. They not only gave her a high–end nanny car but also promised her a lot of good  resources  Sheila was of confidence in her future, she felt that she was not far from becoming an international superstar, but the traffic jam was annoying  She stuck her head out the car window to check the traffic ahead but unexpectedly saw Ellinor and a tall man crossing the road!  “Mom, Dad Look, isn’t that Ellinor? It’s so late, why is she with a man?” 

Chapter 102  “You’re too kind”  Ellinor didn’t even lift her head, just casually responding  Theo, hand on his forehead squinted at her. “Did you learn this before?”  His question carried a hint of probing  Because it was unusual that Ellinor could play the violin so well  Choosing Ellinor to be Mrs Blanchet was an accident, but after this accident, he had people investigate her background  The Mendoza family was middle–class, but Ellinor was an overlooked illegitimate daughter, raised by rural relatives since childhood. Her upbringing did not afford her to learn classical instruments.  And just now, at the class reunion, the piece she played on the violin, without seven to eight years of solid practice, couldn’t reach that level.  This girl was full of contradictions, making people feel she was not simple  But Ellinor didn’t care about the man’s scrutinizing gaze, just sulkily looking at the expenditure bill on her phone.  She just paid the bill at the class reunion, and now her wallet was empty, with only over eighty dollars left on her bank card!  And the culprit who made her poor was the man sitting next to her!  The man was still making sarcastic remarks, saying her violin playing was good, really!  The more she thought about it, the angrier Ellinor got, “Mr Blanchet, we’re not really married What I’ve learned or not is none of your business! After three months, we’ll go our separate ways Why are you asking so much?”  Reprimanded by Ellinor, Theo frowned, “Ms Mendoza, I just paid the compensation for a violin for you. Why are you so unfriendly to me?”  What’s wrong with her attitude? She’s been very polite!  Ellinor glared at him, “Mr Blanchet, that violin was broken by you, if you don’t compensate, should I compensate?”  Theo’s face darkened, feeling misunderstood for the first time.  Ellinor grumbled angrily. “And if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have had to pay for dinner today spending all my living expenses!”  So that’s why she was unhappy  Theo raised his eyebrows, and teasingly smiled, ‘Ms Mendoza, aren’t you happy to have a gathering with your classmates? You’re unhappy because you have to pay?”  “Do I have to pay for a gathering? Mr Blanchet, do you think everyone can be as lavish with money as you?”  Ellinor frowned, clearly dissatisfied. “It’s not a small gathering of a few people. It’s a large class reunion where everyone defaults to splitting the bill. Because of your word, I lost a month’s salary! Humph!”  Since they reached an agreement, Ellinor has always been patient in front of him, trying to avoid conflicts.  But today, he saw her getting genuinely angry.  Her resentful look, because of no money, made him think she was cute.  “I’ll transfer all the money you spent today to you.” Theo calmly said.  “Really?” Ellinor’s eyes lit up. She immediately showed him her bank account number and entered the exact amount.  Theo  She reacted really quickly, without any politeness!  Ellinor didn’t think she needed to be polite with Theo. It wasn’t her money to pay!  Theo jokingly pretended to be her parent, claiming she would pay, and her classmates misunderstood,  If she didn’t pay and left, it would look like she’s avoiding the bill!  But if she paid, she’ll be broke!  Although she still had some money at Chase’s, that money was buying her mother’s painting, not for spending!  Theo lightly laughed, took out his phone, and transferred the total amount she spent today.  Seeing the money in her account, Ellinor’s mood improved significantly  Her previously scowling face fnstantly relaxed, and she started talking more “Sir, do you know your actions today made my classmates think you’re my sugar daddy?” Sugar daddy?  Theo frowned, “What? Do I look like an old sugar daddy?”  Ellinor shook her head  “That’s not what I meant! Because you neither look nor are old enough to be my dad, they misunderstood, thinking you’re a sugar daddy who’s keeping me for some  benefits.”  After hearing her say this, Theo realized she might have been mistreated at the class reunion. He frowned. 

Chapter 101  Theo’s tall and upright figure, with Ellinor obediently tagging along, made them look super cute together due to their height difference  Yvette was squatting on the ground, bawling her eyes out, her violin was ruined, and she felt terrible about it  She thought that crying would earn her the sympathy of the noble guy who had wiped her tears earlier, but to her surprise, no one came to help her up even after she cried for quite a while.  She looked up to see her Prince Charming walking away  And that hunk was leaving too!  How could he just leave when she was in such a pitiful state?  Yvette quickly got up and chased after him, “Sir, wait up.”  Jonah stopped and turned his head with a smile, “Yes? What’s up?”  Yvette was taken aback and felt slightly uncomfortable.  Was it her imagination? Her Prince Charming was still smiling, but he seemed much colder than before.  “Um sir, this is your handkerchief. Thanks for your kindness earlier Yvette shyly handed over the handkerchief, hoping Prince Charming would ask for her contact information  However, Jonah just smiled faintly and didn’t take the handkerchief, “It’s okay. You can keep it.”  Yvette’s cheeks turned red, and her heart beat faster!  He told her to keep the handkerchief. The texture of the handkerchief was not cheap. Did this mean?  Just as Yvette fantasised about their relationship. Jonah said calmly. “I wouldn’t like to have a handkerchief used by a woman like you”  Yvette was stunned, and humedly tried to explain, “Sir, you must have misunderstood something. I… I’m not the kind of woman you think.”  Jonah chuckled, “No? The violin piece just now was not played by you, but you didn’t deny it! The violin was ruined by you, but you we’re willing to blame others! And now you’re playing innocent in front of me? Your actions have made it clear to me that you’re not pure–hearted”  “…” Jonah’s blunt words expose her scheme, making Yvette feel extremely embarrassed and unable to defend herself.  She thought he was her Prince Charming who liked her, but she was just overthinking it.  Jonah left  Collin walked up to Yvette. “Madam, I checked. The violin is worth 20 grand. Please give me your account number. The compensation will be transferred soon.” Yvette couldn’t help but get angry. She shouted at Collin: “Twenty grand? My violin is worth a hundred grand! Not a penny less!”  Collin was expressionless, ‘Madam, if you insist it’s worth a hundred grand, you must provide a purchase receipt or record Otherwise, we’ll have to go through legal procedures.”  Hearing the words ‘legal procedures, Yvette immediately backed down. She didn’t want to get involved in a lawsuit right after graduating from university.  She thought The violin was already ruined, but she couldn’t give up on compensation.  She gritted her teeth in dissatisfaction, then honestly gave her bank account number  Today was really her unlucky day all because of Ellinor! It was all Ellinor’s fault! She decided to become enemies with Ellinor!  In the car, Ellinor was looking down at her phone.  Theo’s deep, cold voice rang out, laced with a hint of contempt, “Ms Mendoza does play the violin quite well!” 

Chapter 100  “Don’t cry, you’ll ruin your makeup, and it won’t be pretty”  Jonah gracefully pulled out a white handkerchief from his chest pocket and gently wiped away Yvette’s tears with a gentlemanly touch  Having such a handsome and noble man caring for her, Yvette felt incredibly moved and even more attractive  He must be her knight in shining armour!  She leaned towards Jonah and whispered. “Thank you, I’m fine ”  “I’m glad to hear that Jonah said with a smile, handing her the handkerchief. I heard someone playing the violin beautifully in the next room. Was it you?”  Yvette’s face tensed How should she respond?  If she told the truth, wouldn’t that give Ellinor another chance to show off?  After thinking. Yvette gave a vague reply. “The music you heard was played on this violin, but sadly, someone has damaged it.”  “What? The person who damaged this violin is really nasty!” Jonah frowned and finally turned his gaze to Ellinor. “Miss, why did you damage her violin?”  Miss? Why did he refer to her as Miss?  Ellinor raised an eyebrow, locking contemptuously at Jonah She thought to herself. Theo was weird enough. Now even his friend was abnormal!  At this point, Yvette was stunned, her eyes wide in surprise. “What did you just call her?”  “I called her ‘Miss‘ what’s wrong with that? Jonah laughed, looking charming.  Yvette was in disbelief, her face turning sour, “How how could she be your “Miss“?”  Jonah chuckled, “She’s my friend’s wife, so naturally, she’s my “Miss” ”  “Your friend’s wife?” Yvette was shocked, looking at Jonah, then Ellinor, unable to accept this reality.  How could Ellinor have anything to do with the prince of her dreams? So annoying!  Jonah turned to a man standing not far away and said with a smile. “Theo, don’t just stand there! Come over and see what to do. Your wife damaged this lady’s violin Hearing Jonah’s words, Ellinor turned her head and saw Theo walking over with his hands in his pockets.  Seeing Theo, Ellinor was somewhat irritable.  Jonah took the violin from Yvette and handed it to Theo, saying with a smile, “Theo, look at the scratch on this violin. She said it was your wife’s doing” Theo took the violin calmly, glanced at it, and smashed it against the wall. The violin shattered all over the floor, leaving only the neck in his hand.  Then, without a care, he threw the neck away, like discarding trash  Coming back to her senses, Yvette screamed in horror, “My violin!”  Theo didn’t show any emotion, ordering coldly. “Collin, compensate her.”  Collin nodded immediately, “Yes”  ”  ”  Theo didn’t pay attention to anyone else, turning to Ellinor, a trace of mockery in his cold eyes, “Ms Mendoza, is your party over?”  Seeing Theo’s action of smashing the violin, Ellinor was a bit speechless, and laughed awkwardly. “It’s over, I plan to go home.”  “Let’s go then.” He gently put his arm around Ellinor’s shoulder and led her away  Not far away, Ellinor suddenly thought of something, stopped, turned around and said, “Collin, please compensate my classmate for the violin at its original price. Even if you pay a bit more, your boss wont reimburse you!”  “Uh “Collin twitched the corner of his mouth and agreed, ‘I understand, Ms Mendoza.”  After instructing Collin, Ellinor left the party with Theo, 

Chapter 99  Ellinor laughed. “Twenty thousand dollars? Yvette, do you take me for a fool? You’m not seriously trying to scam me, are you?  Yvette sneered “Ellinor, isn’t your family loaded? Your folks could buy a whole building for our school Why can’t you afford to pay for a violin?”  Ellinor narrowed her eyes, “And if I don’t?  “What if you don’t? Yvette’s eyes widened in shock. If you don’t pay me for my violin today, I’m calling the cops! Your prints are all over it. Everyone saw you playing it. You can’t deny it!  Ellinor shrugged unbothered  Yvette was clearly upset about not being the center of attention earlier and was now trying to stir up trouble. How boring!  “Fine, call the cops! They can verify whether this violin of yours is an antique and whether it’s worth a hundred grand. And they can decide if you’re trying to blackmail me  Yvette was taken aback, a hint of panic in her eyes. She hadn’t expected this not to phase Ellinor and blurted out, “Ellinor, you’re so cunning!”  Ellinor smirked, “Am I cunning? Or are you just being unreasonable and trying to set me up?”  “I don’t care! You’ll pay for my violin! You have to pay me today! If you don’t, you’re not guing anywhere!” Yvette, unable to out–argue her, began to block Ellinor’s way hysterically She thought. If I couldn’t make Ellinor lose face earlier, now I’ll make her pay. She won’t be getting off easy!  In truth, she had scratched her own violin just to frame Ellinor!  And while her violin wasn’t an antique, it was indeed expensive!  She couldn’t let her plan to frame Ellinor fail, and her precious violin got ruined for nothing!  So, until Ellinor paid, she wouldn’t let this drop!  Even the patient Ellinor was nearing her breaking point. She clenched her fists, ready to take action.  “Hi girl, why the temper?”  Suddenly, a deep, refined voice with a hint of wildness interrupted their quarrel.  Yvette thought a passerby was trying to meddle and was ready to snap at them, but she turned around only to be stunned by the sight of the man before her!  A handsome man with a commanding presence, tall and lean, striking features and a designer suit, was walking toward them.  Seeing this hunk, Yvette blushed, her previous tantrums quickly forgotten. She lowered her eyes demurely, playing the victim, “I’m sorry for disturbing you, Sir. She broke my expensive violin and wants to leave without paying, that’s why I’m so upset.”  “Is that so? Destroying someone’s property and not wanting to pay? That’s not nice”  Ellinor watched Jonah approach, recognizing him as Theo’s friend, but couldn’t fathom his intentions.  Why was he getting involved?  Jonah walked up to Yvette, gently asking. “Where is the damage? Let me take a look.”  “Sir, look these scratches, they’re all her doing!” Yvette blushed as she handed her violin to the handsome man while pointing the finger at Ellinor.  She thought this handsome man must be interested in her to come over and help. This proved she’s more attractive, and more capable of capturing men’s attention than  Ellinor  Jonah studied the violin, shaking his head regretfully. “The scratches on this violin are indeed severe. A real shame for such a fine instrument.”  Seeing the distinguished and handsome man siding with her. Yvette felt a surge of confidence.  She thought for a moment, then began to weep pitifully. “Sir, you must help me! My violin is an antique, but she intentionally damaged it and refused to compensate me.”  Chapter

Chapter 98  “Ellinor is truly an all–rounder She plays the violin even better than the music students!”  “My God. I’ll never doubt her skills again”  “Me neither! Now I get why Ellinor is known as “Miss Perfect, and why the principal admires her so much!  It became crystal clear, everyone in the room was singing praises, clapping their hands off  But Yvette and her buddies looked like they’d just eaten a sour grape.  Ellinor gently put down her violin and walked towards them. “Now, it’s your turn to apologize to Principal”  The ringleader looked in disbelief, “You you’re not even a music major. How could you play the violin so well?”  Ellinor calmly replied. “Well, I know how to play the violin!”  The girl was so funous with Ellinor’s calm tone that she gritted her teeth, “You played better than…”  “Go on, what were you going to say?” Ellinor raised an eyebrow  The girl clamped her mouth shut. She didn’t want to compliment Ellinor, feeling totally cheesed off!  Seeing her silence, Ellinor continued. “I’ve done playing Everyone’s cool with it. Now, keep your promise and apologize to the Principal.  The girls looked at each other, hesitating, obviously none of them wanted to apologize.  “What are you waiting for? Hurry up and apologize to Ellinor and the principal!”  “Yeah, you started the mess Now you lost and don’t want to say sorry?”  “Go apologize!”  Under the chorus of blame, the girls felt humiliated, only then they reluctantly went on stage.  “We’re sorry. We apologize to Ellinor and the Principal for our irresponsible words, We were wrong. We hope you all forgive us.”  The crowd started to buzz, discussing the girl’s issue.  Ellinor got what she wanted and left, rubbing her ears, it was too noisy  She never planned to attend this reunion, but was supposed to meet Chase at the company.  But Theo insisted on giving her a lift, she couldn’t go to the company That’s why she let Theo drop her off here.  Since she was here, she had to step in to avoid raising any suspicion  Little did she know, there would be such a drama at this boring reunion!  Just as Ellinor stepped out of the room, she heard someone calling her from behind.  “Ellinor! Stop!”  Ellinor stopped and turned back.  Yvette chased after her with the violin, huffing and puffing. “Ellinor, you broke my violin, and you want to just leave? Pay me for the violin first!”  “The violin is broken? It was fine when I played it! Ellinor remained calm, and looked at the violin Yvette was holding. Nothing seemed wrong.  Yvette shoved the violin in her face, ‘Look closely! The scratches on the violin were definitely made by you on purpose! This violin is antique and very valuable, you know?”  Now, Yvette had dropped her pretentious and smug face in front of the classmates, her mask was off, showing a face full of hatred and dissatisfaction.  Ellinor glanced at the violin, indeed, there were many scratches. She frowned, “How much do you want for it?”  Yvette feigned kindness and politeness. “Considering we’re classmates, I won’t ask for too much, just twenty thousand dollars!” 

Chapter 97 Ellinor’s expression was casual as her playing shifted from n random pluck to a rhythmic strum. The song she was playing was exactly the one from the guitar sheet music Yvette had initially given her Downstage, the faces of the students turned from dissatisfaction to confusion, then admiration and intoxication. Chapter 96  Yvette and her posse were still goading Ellinor.  “Alright! If you can play a song today and get every single one of us here to applaud, you win! Then we’ll do whatever you ask, no need for apologies.”  Ellinor remained stone faced, “Deal”  The lead girl continued. “But, if your performance slinks and can’t get us all on board, you’ll have to crawl out of here, and we’re gonna film it and post it on the school forum! You still up for the challenge?”  Ellinor frowned, paused for a couple seconds, seemingly considering the proposition, then said, “Sure.”  The girl smirked scornfully. “Then you go up and play, if you lose, don’t be foolish!*  Ellinor turned and took the violin from Yvette  Yvette put on a pretence of concern, “Ellinor, you should bow out of this challenge. Girls need to have dignity, crawling out would be so embarrassing”  Ellinor smiled slightly. “How do you know I’ll fail before I even start?”  Yvette taunted. “Ellinor, the violin is way harder than the guitar. The fingering is tough. Im just trying to save you from making a fool of yourself!”  “Thanks for your concern!” Ellinor didn’t say more, casually tuned her violin, then looked up at Yvette, “Weren’t you going to sing? Shouldn’t you be preparing?” Yvette just snorted. She didn’t really care about Ellinor, she just wanted to see this country bumpkin make a fool of herself!  Yvette again feigned concern, advising Ellinor a few more times, then with a helpless expression, she look center stage, adjusted the mic, and prepared to sing.  However, she wasnt ready to start singing.  She had always believed Ellinor wouldn’t be able to play well, she couldn’t accompany her properly, and in the end, she still had to rely on herself to play and sing!  Under the watchful and skeptical eyes of everyone, Ellinor finally started to play.  It was noise, not music!  Ellinor was playing the violin haphazardly, it was chaotic and ear–piercing, causing disgust among the students on stage.  “OMG, I almost thought Ellinor could really play the violin!”  “She dares to go on stage with such terrible playing!”  “This is just messing around! It’s so bad!”  “She’s just wasting Yvette’s violin!”  “Exactly!”  Yvette and her friends were laughing secretly.  This was the effect they were expecting Ellinor had lost face today, her image was ruined, she was no longer the legendary all–rounder!  Not only that, she still had to crawl out soon!  HAHAHA  At that moment.  Several people were already standing on the balcony, each with an attractive expression.  Byran laughed and said, “Theo, did you see that? What is Ellinor playing? It’s just terrible!”  Haillie also smiled, her eyes full of contempt, looking at Ellinor across, clearly enjoying her embarrassment.  This was the expected outcome!  How could a girl from the countryside possibly understand the art of elegant music?  Those from remote areas, in order to make a difference, might really work hard academically, and it’s not surprising to become excellent students, but when it came to artistic cultivation, it’s hard to reach a high levell  Kemp looked on indifferently, with no obvious expression on his face.  Jonah shook his head and sighed, putting his hand on Theo’s shoulder, “Theo, it looks like your new bride can’t play an instrument!”  Theo’s eyes were deep, he squinted, a smirk playing on his lips. “Really?”  Jonah raised an eyebrow, what else could it be? Her performance was already this bad, what was there to doubt?  Just then, the ear–piercing noise from across became pleasant.  Jonah was taken aback, he turned to look again, thinking someone had replaced Ellinor, but to his surprise, it was still her playing the violin!  Chapter 971  So, was she joking around? 

Chapter 95  Ellinor didn’t immediately respond, but the girls around her started to get all riled up.  “What, can’t play?”  “If you can’t play, then your whole Miss Perfect‘ act is just a bunch of baloney!”  “If you can’t even play the violin, then isn’t your whole ‘Miss Perfect title just the Principal blowing smoke? You said you don’t have any special relationship with him. Who’s going to believe that?”  Ellinor had never called herself Miss Perfect‘. This was all due to Creston University’s Principal going overboard with his praise, constantly boasting about her achievements, which led to this reputation.  And it was confirmed that she frequently got called to the Principal’s office, each time staying for about an hour.  The Principal of Creston University was a math freak. Since she was an outstanding student in the math department, the Principal would call her in to discuss complex math problems whenever he encountered one, even putting aside his position to ask her for solutions humbly  What was initially a very innocent had been twisted into something scandalous by these people!  The Principal’s appreciation for her academic abilities encountered her in her studies.  She respected the Principal greatly and couldn’t tolerate him being misunderstood because of her.  Thinking this, Ellinor said. “Alright, I’ll play a piece for you guys then!”  As soon as she said this, the people around her started laughing.  “Ellinor, don’t push yourself if you can’t do it!”  “You just stepped down because you couldn’t play. Now you want to go up and play again. Do you really think we’d believe you can play the violin? Hahaha  “When I say play a piece, I mean play a piece everyone admits is good! Not just strumming a few random notes!”  At this point, on the opposite balcony.  Byran, being too young, wasn’t allowed to drink and play cards with Theo and Jonah, so he had to sit on the balcony feeling bored out of his mind  Just then, he saw Ellinor being surrounded and provoked by her classmates.  “Is that the annoying Ellinor over there?”  Byran held a bottle of soda, watching the scene with focus.  His sidekick, Carlos, also leaned over to look, “Hmm, looks like it’s really Mrs Blanchet!”  After he said this, he got a smack on the head from Byran!  “Mrs Blanchet, my foot! She’s not Mrs Blanchet! She doesn’t deserve it! She can only be my sister!” Byran corrected him unhappily.  “Yes, Mr Howard! I misspoke.” Carlos rubbed his head with a wronged look and sighed helplessly  Byran stared at the opposite side, his handsome lips curled up slightly. “Those must be her classmates! Looks like there are quite a few people who don’t like her. It’s not just me! This just proves that there’s definitely something wrong with this Ellinor girl!”  Carlos disagreed with Byran’s opinion, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Ms Mendoza, it’s just those girls looking for trouble Ow!”  Before he could finish his sentence, he got another kick from Byran!  Byran coldly said. “If I say she has a problem, then she definitely has a problem!*  Carlos was so wronged that he almost cried, “Okay, whatever Mr Howard says is right!”  “That’s more like it!” Byran said arrogantly, “Carlos, go call Theo and the others right now. Let everyone see that woman’s ridiculous act! I refuse to believe that some country bumpkin can play the violin‘”  Carlos felt this wasn’t quite right, but he didn’t dare to voice his opinion, afraid to get hit by Byran again, so he could only nod and go downstairs. 

Chapter 94  “If Ellinor can’t play the violin then hurry up and get off the stage Just let Yvette do the show!”  “Yeah, come on, get off! We’ve all been waiting, don’t waste our time anymore!”  This time, Yvette finally felt she’d outdone Ellinor, and was pretty chuffed  However she didn’t forget to show her understanding and sympathy. She gently said to Ellinor: “Ellinor, since it’s like this, I won’t give you a hard time anymore. You can go down first Let me take over!”  “Alright Ellinor nodded, and agreed. Anyway, she didn’t want to play anymore!  Just as she put down the violin and got off the stage, she heard Yvette’s friends in the front row talking loudly.  “Humph! She can’t even play the violin. Ellinor isn’t that great!”  “She has such a good family background, is her academic performance really as good as the rumours say? If you’re rich, creating an image of an all–rounder genius isn’t a big deal!”  “What good family background When I was assigned to organize the archives, I saw Ellinor’s student file! She’s just a student from the countryside. Before college, she was poor relying on grants to study!”  “What? Is she poor? Then how come her family has so much money to donate a building to the school today?”  “Do you really think that’s her family? I bet she met some rich bloke in Greenhaven because she’s pretty! Some poor girls would always give up their morals for money!”  “That guy? You mean the handsome guy today is Ellinor’s sugar daddy?”  “Can such a young man be her biological dad? Hmph! Nothing looks wrong on the surface, but who knows what’s going on behind the scenes!”  “By the way‘ I heard rumors that Ellinor was often called into the principal’s office and stayed there for at least an hour! Now I suspect she might have something with the principal! Otherwise, why would he favour her so much, even letting her be the finale at the graduation ceremony!”  “No way? Our principal could be her grandpa”  “What’s impossible! The principal is also a man.”  Their comments got more and more outrageous. Ellinor’s eyes grew cold. She stopped, turned around and walked towards those gossiping girls.  “What did you just say about the principal?”  Seeing Ellinor come over, the girls looked a bit guilty and panicked  “Eh, since you’ve heard it, why ask us?”  Ellinor coldly stared at them and said: “The principal has been educating people all his life. He’s highly respected. Do you have the right to spread rumours about him?”  One of the girls snorted, “Huh! Our mouths are on our bodies. We have the freedom to say whatever we want!”  “Exactly‘ Exactly”  “Why are you so nervous when we mention the principal? Did we hit a nerve?”  Ellinor frowned, and grabbed one of the girl’s collars, “Dare to say one more word?”  The girl was startled, struggling but unable to free herself from Ellinor’s grip, but she didn’t back down, “Ellinor, are you trying to hit someone? Ha, doing this will only make us think you’re angry because you’re embarrassed“”  Ellinor slightly narrowed her eyes, and released her hand, “I won’t hit you, but you need to apologize to Mr Principal in front of all the students for the untrue words you just  said”  The girl casually straightened her collar and said, “Want us to apologise? Unless you prove, you’re a real genius, not a product of the principal’s overpraise!”  Ellinor lightly said, “How do you want me to prove it?”  The girl laughed, “If you can play the violin, we’ll believe there’s nothing inappropriate between you and the principal, that you’re truly a genius!”  She accurately judged that Ellinor definitely couldn’t play the violin. Otherwise, why would she have given up the opportunity to show off and left the stage earlier?
