Love’s New Bloom By Simone Hastings Chapter 135
Chapter 135 She’s the Cure His actions preceded reason, and his mind went blank due to the close proximity of her face. Not only that, his heartbeat raced and his breathing became rapid. Erin was deeply asleep, and would only wake up il someone shook her vigorously. Finally, his nervous and slightly cool lips touched Erin’s lips, and a tingling, electrifying sensation overcame his nerves. Before his mind could process everything rationally, he continued to kiss Erin, but she kept her jaw tightly clenched, so he had to give up after a while. Afraid that she would wake up, Simon hastily ended the kiss. His deep gaze changed in tandem with her breathing, and he had unprecedented dirty thoughts racing through his mind. Even the perfectly proportioned figure of Megan didn’t arouse his impulses, but now, just seeing Erin in a conservative cotton nightgown triggered a strong reaction in him. It left him so shocked that he was speechless. Simon couldn’t help but wonder what was so different about Erin. It wasn’t like Megan lacked anything that she had in terms of looks. As Simon thought of this, his cheeks grew hotter and hotter. From the depths of his heart, he began to despise himself. He felt like a sleazy and perverted peeping tom giving in to his filthiest and innermost desires in the middle of the night. But even as he struggled with such thoughts, he couldn’t bear to look away. Subconsciously, he reached out and involuntarily started unbuttoning Erin’s top. Simon suddenly felt his brain overhealing, and a drop of blood quietly slid down from one of his nostrils. Before things spiraled out of control, he quickly wiped away the blood and buttoned up her clothes with astonishing willpower. Without a second to waste, he turned off the table lamp. The bedroom became shrouded in darkness again. Simon furrowed his brow and took the roses and the magnetic card with him as he left Erin’s room silently. Ten minutes later, Simon returned to the Jeep. Luther asked impatiently, “How did it go?” Simon stared at a spot fixedly without saying a word. After about a minute, he suddenly asked Luther, “Do you have any cigarettes?” Luther was surprised. “Didn’t you stop smoking? Was the result that devastating? Was it still not enough to make you man up?” “Do you have cigarettes?” Simon’s suppressed lone rattled Luther a little. He immediately opened the storage compartment and took out a pack of foreign cigarelles. “This might be a bit strong. You better take it slow- Half a minute later, Simon sat in the passenger seat, one hand resting outside the car window. The smell of smoke lingered in the car. Luther also lit a cigarette and started smoking. He asked again. “So, how did it go? You’re driving me crazy, man.” Simon didn’t look at him. His gaze drifted as he looked outside the car window. He said monotonously, “I almost did something beastly-” These words caused Luther’s eyes to light up with excitement. “Fuck! What happened back there? Erin is indeed beautiful. She’s the type of woman men would go crazy for, but she’s not some otherworldly siren that is irresistible. How did she make a hardcore virgin like you go crazy for her?” Simon remained silent while taking a deep drag from the cigarette. He wasn’t accustomed to smoking, but there was a look of determination in his eyes that he didn’t usually possess. “I’m certain that only she can make me feel something.” It was good news, but also bad news at the same time. The good news was that there was hope for his otherwise hopeless condition. The bad news meant that if he wanted to completely overcome it, he had to pursue Erin. However, in view of Erin’s past relationship history and recent scandals, she was basically “spoiled goods.” Not only was she divorced, but she also seemed to be involved with Matthew and Roman in some ambiguous way. Luther couldn’t help but laugh at Simon’s misfortune. “Oh, I’m so looking forward to this. I wonder if you’ll change your principles for her. Remember when you said you wanted to marry a pure and chaste woman? Well Erin’s quite experienced in that department-” “I meant I wanted to marry a woman with a clean background. That’s the Frost family’s tradition! My grandfather and father were both military men, and their conservative views are something I can’t completely ignore=” Luther exhaled a puff of smoke. “I was just joking earlier. Women like Erin are for fooling around with. It’s perfectly understandable that the Frost family would want a pure and innocent young lady to be their daughter–in–law. But it’s not like you need to stay a virgin yourself! Now that there’s a woman who can make you open up, you can finally unleash your potential.” Simon didn’t respond to his words and simply said. “Get driving.” Luther tossed the unfinished cigarette out the window and casually glanced at Simon. “Listen to my advice–if there’s a way to treat your condition, don’t hold back. If Erin can casually get entangled with Matthew, she can surely accept you. She’s no different from those actresses. I’m sure she can be bought at a price. If she refuses, it just means you haven’t offered enough. But with your status in the Frost family and your outstanding personal traits, I believe Erin will be eager to chase after you. Well, Megan is the best testament to that.” Luther’s tone was filled with disdain as he belittled Erin without care. He would never imagine that one day, Simon would break his front teeth because of a single word. Early the next morning. Erin woke up and found herself in good spirits. She hadn’t slept so soundly for a long time. When she walked into the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth, she froze. She noticed that all her buttons were done up, but she distinctly remembered leaving the two buttons on top unbuttoned because she felt hot. Erin pondered this abnormality for a few seconds but couldn’t figure it out, so she stopped thinking about it. She chalked it up to herself remembering it wrongly. After she got dressed, she went to the sofa to get her bag and saw two white rose petals scattered on the couch. She froze in place once again. Then, she turned to glance at the vase on the desk. The flowers in there were clearly white lilies, so how did roses end up there? As she walked to the door with a puzzled expression, she noticed that the security chain on the door was not fastened. Now she really started to panic because she’d made sure to lock her door and fasten the chain! When Chandler left, he repeatedly […]
