Chapter 155 I Love You Too  Chandler’s words made Erin feel greatly torn. On one hand, she actually had the urge to have a child with him. On the other hand, however, it occurred to her that her relationship with Chandler was a secretive one, so how could they bring a child into the world and make the  situation more complicated?  Being in a difficult position, she said. “Chandler, let me think about this. I can’t give you an answer right now.”  “I know this is too sudden for you, Erin. But think about it. My grandfather doesn’t have much time left. He’s hoping that I can get married next month. I really can’t think of a better way anymore.” Chandler looked torn and sorrowful.  He did not force her as crazily as last night, but Erin could not be helped when facing him in this state.  She could not help but ask herself if she loved Chandler. Of course, the answer was affirmative. Since she already had an answer deep  down, would it still be so hard for her to make a choice?  Erin touched his face and asked with no confidence at all, “Even if I really got pregnant, would your grandfather and father truly accept me?”  Her uneasiness and longing made him feel troubled for some reason, so much so that he was at a loss for words for a moment.  However, he had already made a decision.  Chandler took her delicate hand away from his face and held it in his palm. His smile was gentle and resolute as he said. “Trust me! I can  make it happen!”  Erin seemed to have exhausted all of her courage as she took a deep breath and asked seriously, “Do you really want us to have a child together?”  He looked right at her and said, “Yes.”  “Alright. I promise that I won’t take any birth control anymore.” Erin’s cheeks were slightly flushed and her heart started to pound  aggressively. It was after she said those words that she truly believed the decision she had just made.  She would never know the “birth control pills” Chandler gave her in the past were just folic acid. Unfortunately, things just did not turn out  the way he wanted, and she did not get pregnant.  Chandler kissed her forehead emotionally and thanked her from the bottom of his heart. “Erin, I swear I will be a good father! I won’t be like my father.”  Erin was so touched by his words that she nodded without saying anything while tears streamed down her face.  Both of them hugged each other, and they could not bear to let go. However, Chandler still got out of the car in the end. He said, “Play the demon hunter well. I’ll buy a ticket and watch the movie when it’s released.”  Erin broke into a smile. “Alright! I look forward to that.”  Five minutes later, the driver who was in charge of driving Erin’s van came to the garage.  Erin was a little surprised when she saw the driver. She looked at Chandler as he stood at the side, and he said with a faint smile, “Jack is  skilled in combat. He’ll be responsible for your safety from now on.”  It turned out that her neighbor living across from her was one of Chandler’s men. It was only at that moment that Erin figured it out. At that  point, nothing was going to shock her anymore.  After Erin said goodbye to Chandler, Jack drove her to the set.  Erin could feel that the crew seemed different when she returned to the set this time. Everybody, even the director and producer, was polite to her. Also, it was not hard for her to shoot her scenes as they were scheduled to be after she had a good rest.  What shocked Erin the most was to learn from Roman that Megan and Claire had been replaced. The investor added a billion dollars to the movie’s budget, demanding to have these two women replaced,  Having the first female lead changed seemed like a big deal, especially when they had already shot quite a number of scenes. However,  the money the investor gave was completely enough to placate the director’s fury and ease the producer’s worries.  They were both replaced quietly. Megan and Claire did not go to the set anymore, and they did not make a scene either. They just left in  silence.  Other than Chandler, Erin could not think of anybody else being the investor. Roman also told her frankly that it was indeed Chandler.  When she heard the answer with her own ears, she was both surprised and speechless. It was not that she was too vain. She just could not help but think it was because of her that Chandler had replaced Megan and Claire.  Her cousin, who was an extra, was replaced as well.  On the other hand, Alana–Chandler’s rumored “legitimate girlfriend“-had been staying at the best hotel in Fleuverton for a few days ever since she reported symbolically to the set for the first time, citing the excuse that she was either feeling under the weather or too hungover to wake up.  Roman, however, told Erin the truth. He said Alana’s real boyfriend was at Fleuverton, and he had been with Alana this whole time while they enjoyed themselves in a small town nearby.  At that moment, Erin watched as Roman left to rehearse a scene with the new first female lead. Then, she quickly walked to the dressing room, locking the door behind her. Chapter 154 Let’s Have a Baby  Erin woke up naturally at 8 am the following morning, and she immediately noticed that she was alone. She got up without sleeping in. She was wearing the dress she put on last night but had nothing underneath.  Recalling everything that happened last night, Erin fell angry and embarrassed. She felt her cheeks burn, but she could not think about it anymore. She had to hurry off to the set as she had a shoot that morning itself!  After she washed herself up, she went to the walk–in closet and picked some clothes that suited her. In any case, all the clothes were her size, and she could not care too much about it either!  As she was heading downstairs to the living room after getting dressed, she saw Chandler sitting on the couch at first glance, looking right at her.  Chandler was wearing a dark gray suit that was tailored with a pristine white shirt underneath. His crimson tie had two small letters delicately embroidered, representing the Frost Corporation. Those shiny, fashionable handmade black leather shoes could be seen as he stood up. With every move he made, he simply looked like an A–list actor walking the red carpet at an international film festival. Erin, who deliberately wanted to avoid his gaze, could not help but be attracted to him.  Chandler walked elegantly toward the wooden spiral stairs and watched every step Erin took as she came down.  There was nobody else other than the two of them in the living room.  Chandler’s dark eyes were unfathomable. In the instant that he looked down, he came to a decision. When he looked up at her once again. he said calmly, “Erin, I promise you I won’t marry Alana.”  Erin stopped in her tracks. There were only ten steps in between them at that moment.  Step by step, he walked up the stairs until there was only one step left between them. Even so, he was still taller than Erin.  Her heart kept pounding and a sense of elation washed over her, so much so that she did not even dare to voice out her question.  A faint smile reached Chandler’s deep gaze. He lifted her delicate chin with his finger and said, “Are you happy with that?” He looked more  or less like he was compromising a little.  Erin asked softly. “What about your grandfather? How are you going to explain to him?”  Chandler brushed the tip of her nose lightly with his index finger and said. “Silly, of course, I’ll think of a way to make my grandfather like you. After he accepts you, my father won’t be a problem anymore.”  Erin lit up like radiant fireworks. She was so excited, her eyes turned red. Feeling touched, tears streamed down her face.  Chandler wiped off her tears gently. “Don’t cry. Let me face all the problems.” 1  Then, he opened his arms and pulled her into his embrace.  She cried carefully, afraid that she was dreaming. Chandler was still stubborn, and unreasonable, even, last night. However, he changed  overnight.  Erin suddenly looked up at him. “I won’t let you face them alone! I will always be with you!”  A charming, attractive smile appeared on his face. “Do you really like to act?”  Erin was taken aback. She asked her seriously if she would want to be an actress without Chandler. This was a brand–new career completely different from the industries she had been in before, filled with an uncharted sense of novelty.  Almost half a minute later, she answered seriously, “I really want to try a new field!”  Chandler let out a barely noticeable sigh and said, “Since you like it, I’ll support you. But I have a request.”  “Don’t worry! I absolutely won’t do intimate scenes!” Erin raised her hand to swear, beating him to the punch to make her stance clear.  Chandler looked satisfied. “How clever of you.” He then squinted and added, “If you dare to flirt with another man in the future. I’ll give you a harsh punishment.”  She smacked his naughty hand away.  “You’re so annoying! I’m not going to talk to you anymore! I have a shoot later, so I’m going to leave now!” Erin broke herself free from his  1/7  embrace.  He watched as she went downstairs in high spirits. The apricot leather heels perfectly showcased her glowing and healthy complexion.  He felt a sense of longing as he watched her back, so he called out to her, “Erin.”  Erin turned around in place and looked up at him, and her eyes were overllowing with happiness.  Chandler walked calmly down the stairs, came up to her, and said in a slightly apologetic tone. “Before my grandfather officially accepts you, our relationship can’t be made public. I hope you can understand.”  She nodded. “I understand!”  He looked a little helpless. “I’m sorry about that.”  The fact that Chandler went out of his way to comfort her made Erin feel touched but also a little unfamiliar. It was as if these words that  sounded ordinary should not have come out of his mouth. However, Erin did not think too much about it. She just smiled and said, “I’ll wait  for you.”  His perfect lips curled into an exceptionally beautiful smile. Putting one hand on her face, he pressed his lips against hers.  It was hard for them to part, but he was the first to break away from her. Looking at her lips, Chandler smiled and wiped off the lipstick stain at the corner of her lips with his thumb. “I’m sorry. Your makeup

Chapter 153 Love and Hate  Chandler snapped and lost all sense of rationality! He wanted to show Erin through his actions that even if she wanted to resist, it would be futile.  For a full half an hour, shreds of Erin’s chiffon dress scattered in various corners of the car. Her suppressed crying filled the entire back. seat. Even the driver in the front could laintly hear it. The sound of her sobbing was heartbreaking and pitiful, but as Chandler’s driver, he had no right to intervene, nor did he dare to.  The driver had parked the Rolls–Royce steadily in the courtyard of a villa at a winery.  The sensible and shrewd driver quickly got out of the car and hurried into the villa’s hall. He whispered a few words to the female housekeeper, who seemed to be in her forties or fifties, in the hall. Instantly, she nodded in understanding.  Meanwhile, inside the car, Chandler was a ruthless predator, and Erin continued to be a helpless victim.  Her enraged eyes shimmered tears of sadness that pierced into the bone. In a hoarse and alluring voice filled with cold disappointment, she uttered, “I hate you” 1  Chandler looked down at the woman who was forced into submission, feeling an asphyxiating pain in his heart. He felt as if they’d returned to that past relationship. Fleeting waves of regret and fear passed through his mind several times. Nevertheless, when he thought about Erin’s resolute choice to leave him, the fury deep within crept up and swiftly enveloped his restless and uneasy heart like ivy climbing up a wall.  Erin closed her eyes and endured it, lamenting that she and Chandler were cursed in their damned relationship. She didn’t know how much time had passed; she only remembered that she passed out at the end of Chandler’s ravaging.  Later that night, when Erin woke up again, she was still in Chandler’s embrace. She was so exhausted that she could barely keep her eyes  open.  Gradually, the memories of those beautiful romantic moments became blurry in her mind, and Chandler’s touch made her feel disgusted.  She suddenly gritted her teeth and said, “Chandler, even if I am pregnant, I’ll abort the child!”  Erin’s words struck Chandler like a barrage of arrows, pinning him in place! He was startled and immediately got up from the bed. He couldn’t see her facial expression clearly, but her words brought the entire bedroom to a freezing point.  Erin didn’t see the tear that rolled down Chandler’s cheek as he turned and left.  Following his sudden departure, she instantly sat up and started searching for her clothes. Groping around in the dark, she found the light switch and turned on the lights. She saw a doorway not far away, and her intuition told her it was a walk–in closet. 1  As she walked over, the sensor lights automatically turned on, and with a swipe of her hand, the doors of the wardrobe slowly opened. After opening it, she was momentarily stunned to see that half of the clothes in the wardrobe were women’s clothing. Erin checked the  sizes of these clothes.  She couldn’t help but wonder if they were Alana’s clothes. But when she looked at the sizes, she found that they were all in her size–even  the shoes were her size.  Alana had a tall and curvy figure. Based on her experience, Erin estimated that Alana should be roughly a medium size.  Were these clothes all prepared for her by Chandler?  Chandler, who had left and come back, stood silently about thirty feet away from her at that moment. He was wearing a pair of white  casual trousers.  His messy short hair gave him a somewhat wild and unrestrained look, and his face, as beautiful as a Michelangelo sculpture, was even more captivating. Smoke seeped out from the corners of his lips, and there was a cigarelle between his slender fingers.  The words Erin had said to him earlier chilled him to the core. When she said those words, he was extremely infuriated as blood rushed to his head, clouding his judgment. He was genuinely afraid that he would accidentally strangle this woman whom he loved and hated. When this thought crossed his mind, Chandler suddenly felt powerless in the face of destiny–he’d unknowingly fallen in love with Erin. 2  Gazing at her body that held a fatal attraction to him, Chandler suddenly asked, “Erin, you didn’t mean what you just said, did you?”  His voice made Erin’s heart race. She casually grabbed a dress in front of her and put it on herself; she couldn’t be completely naked.  The flustered way she put on clothes made Chandler snort. “I’m familiar with every part of your body. Every part of it is engraved in my  heart.”  Blushing, Erin turned around and asked, “Where is my bag? Where did you put it? I’m leaving!”  His face fell immediately. “You plan to go back at such a late hour? Erin, do you have any common sense? You only know how to throw tantrums like a little girl without any regard for your personal safety.”  Chandler’s mere presence annoyed Erin greatly at that moment. “I don’t want to argue with you. Just tell me where my bag is.”  Her bag contained her wallet and phone. She could call Holly to help her book a taxi.  Chandler’s gaze turned frosty. “Stop making a fuss. You can sleep in the bedroom. I’ll go to the guest room. We’ll leave when it’s daylight!”  He turned around and ignored her, walking straight ahead.  “Give me my bag back now! If you don’t. I’m just going to leave like this!” Erin walked in his direction huffily.  Chandler frowned slightly; he was getting annoyed at this unreasonable woman. Without another word, he grabbed her arm and dragged her toward the bedroom. Erin resisted and struggled, but he lifted her up and threw her onto the bed forcefully. She hit the bed hard and 

Chapter 152 Settle Down Abroad  The Rolls–Royce left the hotel. The driver in front couldn’t see what was happening in the backseat.  At that moment, the temperature inside the backseat was rapidly rising. Erin was pinned down by a lall man, and the man’s icy lips. greedily ravaged the sweetness in her mouth. He ignored Erin’s fierce resistance. Before long, Erin’s lower lip was swollen and accidentally bitten so hard that it bled.  Erin frowned hard as the taste of tangy, sweet blood filled both of their mouths.  Even though the man she desired and longed for the most was right in front of her, she conjured all of her willpower to resist him.  She fervently yearned to embrace him in her dreams every night. But when he appeared before her in person, tears flowed from her eyes uncontrollably. Her heart was in agony, and the diminishing oxygen in the car made her gradually feel suffocated. She was afraid of indulging in this feeling–afraid that she wouldn’t be able to withdraw herself in the future.  She was so scared to the point that even though she could temporarily secure the warmth she so desired, she was too afraid to possess  Seeing Erin’s tears, Chandler no longer forced her. He slowly got up from her and helped Erin sit up.  His hands reached out to tidy up Erin’s collar, but she calmly said, “I’ll do it myself.”  Chandler withdrew his hand with a darkened expression, his gaze turning cold as he looked ahead. With a casual and cool gesture, he adjusted his black shirt.  “It’s been so many days since we’ve seen each other. Yet, you start crying the moment you see me.” His deep voice made him sound like he was the king of the night, intimidating and carrying a deadly allure.  Erin’s rationality burned fiercely within her as if a phoenix trapped in a cage was screeching to be set free in her heart.  “Why are we even seeing each other? What’s there to see?” Her words were harsh and cold, but she didn’t intend to take them back. Although she missed him dearly and wanted to say “I miss you,” she couldn’t bring herself to say those words aloud.  Chandler glanced at her from the corner of his eye. His gaze was filled with suppressed anger that was chilling. “You’re truly heartless, Erin! If I didn’t come to find you, were you planning on never seeing me again?”  Erin’s tears flowed freely once again. “Why should I see you? Should I cry and beg you not to get married? You’ve already made it so difficult for me. You didn’t even have the courage to tell me to my face. How can you expect me to have any confidence to come and find you?”  His deep, dark eyes stared at her delicate face. The intense longing in his heart was fulfilled the moment he saw her, but suddenly, everything collapsed. Even though she was right in front of him and so close to him, it felt like they were still far apart from each other.  Chandler couldn’t control himself and pulled her over, holding her in his arms as he placed her on his lap. The petite Erin was like his exclusive doll enchanting and delightful.  His embrace was still as intoxicating as she remembered. His scent permeated every pore of her being, and Erin couldn’t help but abandon any resistance she’d put up in her heart. She quietly rested her face on his shoulder, and tears fell from her eyes like pearls slipping off a broken string, landing on him rhythmically.  The warm tears quickly penetrated the skin on his neck, flowing into his bloodstream like a corrosive poison, spreading through his limbs. and body. He held her tightly, fearing that she would disappear. The two of them remained in each other’s arms for a long, long time without speaking. Time seemed to stand still as if the noise outside the car had nothing to do with them. Both were waiting for the other to speak first.  Finally, Chandler spoke up. “Erin, why don’t I send you abroad to settle down? I’ll visit you often, and if you can’t bear to leave your mother and younger brother behind, I’ll arrange for them to go with you.”  Erin slowly lifted her head to look at him. Chandler’s perfect jawline was within arm’s reach, and everything about him made her heart race. But why couldn’t they be together?  “Settle down abroad?” Her voice carried an ethereal and elusive tone. She vaguely understood his intentions but couldn’t help asking.  Chandler gently lifted her chin with his slender and attractive fingers, and he said earnestly. “After going abroad, you can work or continue your studies. I’ll support you in whatever you choose to do.”  A faint smile appeared on her lips, but there was subtle mockery in her eyes. “As your mistress?”  “Erin! Why do you insist on clinging to this? Isn’t my affection for you enough?” Chandler was helpless at her reaction.  With a smile that made her look like she’d gone mad, Erin walled, “Yes, I’m too greedy! I’ve told you before, I won’t be your lover. No matter what you think, I won’t change-”  Her determination ignited his anger. “You’re such a stubborn and foolish woman! You’ll have unlimited wealth when you’re with me. Besides you, I won’t have any other women. What more do you want? I’ll send you abroad to settle down, and I’ll take good care of your family. Why can’t you be content with this?”  His questioning left her speechless. Chandler was the kind of man that many women could only dream of having. He chose to be with her, so she should be sensible and know when to stop. But why couldn’t she do it?  Erin’s mockingly cold laughter irritated him. He suddenly lost his patience in continuing their conversation. With his stormy temper, no  other woman had ever gotten the type of treatment Erin was enjoying now.  Since meeting Erin, he’d repeatedly compromised on his principles, to the point that when his grandfather woke up from a coma and made a request, he genuinely felt troubled. If he hadn’t met Erin, he could easily agree to it. It was nothing more than marrying a woman approved by both his grandfather and father, and then having a child with her. That was nothing he couldn’t accomplish.  But the mere thought of Erin leaving him because of this made him hesitant to tell her about it directly. Despite the situation becoming  ever so complicated, he still longed for Erin to persistently pester him and waver his determination. He wanted her to ignite his crazy thoughts of wanting to disregard everything.  But what was her reaction?  She understood her place too well, and she was too sensible. Her selfless withdrawal without any complaints made him restless. Unable to bear it any longer, he took the initiative and went to Fleuverton to find her. 

Chapter 151 A Friend’s Encouragement  Two days later, at the airport exit in Fleuverton, Erin walked out from Exit 10 holding a duffel bag at 9 pm. She looked ahead and quickly spotted Ken standing next to a black sedan. Before she boarded the plane, Roman had called to say that Ken would come to pick her up. Although Erin tried to decline, Roman insisted, so she didn’t refuse any further.  “Ken!” Erin took the initiative to greet Ken, wearing a mask and sunglasses. 1  Upon hearing her voice, Ken recognized her. “Erin, if you hadn’t called me, I wouldn’t have recognized you at all.”  Erin approached him apologetically. “I’m really sorry. Did you wait for a long time? I didn’t expect the flight would be delayed-*  “It’s okay. I’ve been playing games in the car the whole time. Let’s go, Erin.”  Erin nodded and got into the car. Ken closed the door for her and went over to the driver’s seat. Before long, the car left the airport.  Inside the car, Ken expressed concern. “Hey Erin, is your mother ok now?”  “She’s fine. She has been eating more these past two days.” Erin took off her mask and put it in her handbag.  Ken informed her. “By the way, as per your instructions, your good friend Ms. Green has been staying in your hotel room these past two  days.”  Erin asked, “She said she would come to pick me up. Why didn’t she come along?”  Before Ken could answer, Erin’s phone rang. She took out her phone from her handbag and saw that it was a call from Holly.  The moment she tapped on the answer button, Holly’s laugh could be heard over the line. “Erin, have you arrived in Fleuverton?”  “Yes, I just got in the car.”  Holly said, “I know I promised that I would come get you at the airport, but you must forgive me. Prince Charming came to Fleuverton on the same day as you. However, he arrived five hours ago, and we’re having coffee together now!”  A hint of confusion appeared on Erin’s face. She naturally understood who Holly was referring to as Prince Charming. It could only be Simon. Strangely, in just two short days, Simon and Holly had become even more familiar with each other. What was even more peculiar was when Erin was still in her hometown, Holly mentioned that Simon took the initiative to call her and chat. However, no matter what they talked about, it would always circle back to Erin.  At first, Holly couldn’t accept it. But when she thought about Simon’s condition and the purpose behind it, she became more understanding. Even if Simon was using her to gather information about Erin, it was better than him completely ignoring her.  As they gradually interacted, perhaps Simon might develop feelings for her. Holly was looking forward to that possibility quite a bit.  “Then, you two enjoy your drinks. You don’t need to call me,” Erin said with a smile on her lips.  At that moment, Holly’s phone was suddenly snatched away by Simon. He said, “Erin, both Holly and I are waiting for you in the hotel’s café. I brought two Arandrian lobsters. I’ll have the hotel chef prepare supper for us tonight.”  “Hey, why are you so rude-” Holly snatched the phone back and said, “I have something to tell Erin. We can’t let you listen to our girl talk.”  Erin had been silent all along, and Holly went to the restroom with her phone.  As soon as she entered the restroom, she checked each stall to make sure no one was around. Then, she said to Erin, “Erin, let me tell you.” I learned from Simon that Chandler is also in Fleuverton now. He’s staying at the best hotel in Fleuverlon–the same hotel as Alana!”  Erin’s heart constricted upon hearing that, but she pretended to remain calm. “So what if he’s here? It has nothing to do with me.”  Holly was surprised. “Erin, are you really ok with things playing out like this? Chandler hasn’t even called you. Even if you two are really breaking up, shouldn’t you at least clarify things? Don’t you want to ask him what his plans are? Chandler’s grandfather wants to see him. get married and have children as soon as possible. But why can’t that person be you?”  “You’re too naive, Holly. With my current notorious reputation online, do you think I can still enter the Frost family? I don’t want to think. about these things anymore. I understand Chandler’s difficulties, and I’m sick of asking questions that have no answers. There’s no need to make things worse for each other. I’m already grateful that he didn’t say it to my face. At least he’s not that cruel to me.” Erin had to bury her feelings of reluctance and discomfort deep inside her heart.  After spending two days in Southwrok County, she had contemplated a lot in her room late at night. Eventually, she came to a realization- Chandler and she were ultimately people from two different worlds. Since he’d given up on this relationship for the sake of his grandfather. she shouldn’t be a stumbling block for him.  Rather than forcing Chandler to bid her farewell in person, it was better lo silently forget each other.  “Erin, when did you become so timid? When did you become so hesitant in the lace of love? Look at me! Even though I know that Simon is getting close to me to learn more about you and to approach you more conveniently, have I run away? Am I scared? Even if I feel sad inside, I haven’t given up pursuing Simon.” Holly exclaimed emotionally, and her eyes even turned slightly red.  Even after she said such uplifting words, there was still no response from Erin. Holly continued, “I hope you know what you’re doing. In love, there’s always one person who needs to be more proactive. Given the difficult situation Chandler is in, why can’t you be the one to give him courage? Even if he’s wealthy and influential, he’s just an ordinary person, and he also has family members he cares about. Why can’t you ask him about it directly, Erin? It wouldn’t be too late to let go after you confirm with him that he has really given up. Think about Chandler, Erin. Think about his perfect appearance and how he about this matter anymore. I just want to focus on acting. You and Simon enjoy the lobster together. I’m a bit tired, so I’ll go back to the hotel and rest.”  Not wanting to continue brushing off

Chapter 150 I Wish You Happiness  Cherry noticed that Erin was quite agitated. She said with a sigh. “Erin, I know you’re still upset about lan’s affair, but it’s been some time already. Shouldn’t you let go of your anger?”
