He yelled, “Are you crazy, Uncle Kirk? I’m your  nephew!”  As soon as he finished talking, Kirk landed another punch. This blow was much harder than his  previous ones.  Eddy gasped in pain, “Uncle Kirk! Please stop! Don’t think that you can discipline me like this  because you’re my uncle. If you don’t stop, I’ll fight back!”  “Fight back if you dare!” Kirk let go of Eddy. He glared at Eddy coldly as if he wanted to devour him  whole.  Eddy shuddered at his gaze. “Uncle Kirk, don’t assume that I’m afraid of you. I’m not attacking you  because I respect you.”  “Forget about all that crap!” Kirk clenched his fists, making a cracking sound.  “We’re going to fight for real tonight, man–to–man. Screw our relations.”  “But why?” Eddy had no idea what he had done wrong. He had been busy dealing with Jude’s  affairs.  “There’s no need for a reason!” Kirk simply wanted to beat him up. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able  to relieve his anger.  1/2  +15 BONUS  If he hadn’t had respect for the dead, he would have pulled Jude into the mix and beaten them up together  At the thought of this, Kirk raised his fist and hit Eddy in the abdomen.  Eddy couldn’t evade Kirk’s quick blows at all, and he felt a punch in his stomach. He wailed in pain, but before he could fight back. Just like that, he had been punched in the face and chest.  Kirk’s attacks brought out Eddy’s anger.  “Uncle Kirk, you’re the one who started this. Don’t blame me for what happens!” Eddy yelled, beginning to fight back as well.  However, his reflexes were much slower than Kirk’s. He couldn’t dodge several of Kirk’s attacks, and he even received a few blows on his back.  The commotion finally caught Simon and Thomas‘ attention. When the two came in, they saw Kirk and Eddy fighting each other and hurriedly called the guards. It took a lot of effort to break them apart.  Thomas looked at Eddy, who was covered in bruises, and hissed, “What the hell are you two doing? It’s been only a few days since your grandfather passed, and you’re having internal conflicts now?”  Eddy felt extremely wronged. “It’s not my fault. Uncle Kirk was the one who kept attacking me. I asked

Chapter 629  +15 BONUS  Seeing this, Kirk took some tissues to wipe Caroline’s tears. As he did, he coaxed, “Why are you crying, my dear little crybaby?”  Caroline’s eyes were still red, but she retorted, “I’m not crying. I just got dust in my eye.”  Kirk looked around the room. “All right, whatever you say. But darling, can you finish the spaghetti arrabbiata I made?”  Caroline smiled tearfully at his words, biting her lip. “Okay.”  After their dinner, Kirk and Caroline watched TV downstairs. No one talked during this time. At 11:  00 pm, Caroline got up and went upstairs.  After a moment, she said to Kirk, “Kirk …”  “Yeah?”  “I’ll always be with you, no matter how difficult things become.” Although there was nothing  usual about her words, she seemed to be making an oath.  Kirk looked at her gently. Her reassuring words immediately put him at ease. “Okay, you should  get some rest.”  Caroline nodded and went upstairs to rest.  When the door closed, Kirk immediately dropped his smile. He took out his phone and dialed  Eddy’s number.  Eddy quickly answered the phone. “What’s the matter, Uncle Kirk?”  “Where are you?”  “I’m at Grandpa’s place.” In a few days, Eddy had been arranging Jude’s funeral. He had suddenly  felt an emptiness in his chest, so he had gone to Morrison Manor, trying to find some comfort.  Kirk asked coldly, “Did Uncle Jude say anything to Caroline before he passed?”  “No.” Eddy was confused.  “He just told us that his biggest regret was that he didn’t get to see me and Caroline together. Why  are you asking, Uncle Kirk?”  1/2  +15 BONUS  Kirk was shaken. He finally understood the reason for Caroline’s strange behavior tonight. What  she wanted to talk about wasn’t his true identity, but rather Jude’s last words.  “Where did you say you were?” Kirk asked, gritting his teeth.  “At Morrison Manor. Uncle Kirk, what’s wrong?” Eddy asked, thinking Kirk was acting strange.  “Wait for me there. I’ll go see you now.”  After he said that, Kirk strode out of the villa. However, after a few steps, he seemed to have  thought of something. He turned back, went up to the second floor, and opened the door to his  bedroom.  Caroline was wiping her hair dry when she heard the door opening. She turned back to Kirk and  smiled. She asked, “Are you going to bed too?”  “The office called just now and said they needed me for something. So I won’t be home tonight.”  Caroline put her towel down. “It isn’t a big problem, right?”  “I don’t think so. I’ll be leaving now. You should rest early, and don’t worry about me.”
