Chapter 33  Anastasia:  Now, if I ever believed that voicing out the fact that I was carrying my lover’s child would make me as happy as I was, then I was wrong.  I was happier.  Mostly because I knew that at this point, the man had nothing to do except for take me as his.  Nikolay wouldn’t leave me halfway carrying his baby. His mother wouldn’t allow him to do so if he wanted to anyway. It was something that she was completely against, and that was something that I knew for fact.  “I’m sorry, what did you just say?” Nikolay asked, shaking his head in question. I smiled, watching as he removed his hand from mine. I didn’t expect a different reaction nor did I really care. I got what I wanted in the end, and after all the struggles and lies, I at least knew that I came out of this as victorious.  “I believe that we both need a reminder of the meaning of life. As it seems. like my world does not exist anymore if you are not in it.” I said, looking him in the eye as he smiled at me.  “My soul, life, body, and heart belong to you, malyshka, if you keep that in mind, I will be most grateful…‘  **  Simply recalling his words made my heart throb, mostly because I knew that he was having his eyes on another woman.  Finding him on top of her at Bali was something that I couldn’t forget. It was something that broke my heart to even think of, and that was something that I didn’t want to recall, not right now when I was living the best moment of my life.  It was one that the two of us have hoped for, for a very long time. The two of us often wanted to have a child, and it was like a dream come true to me  in 15:57  Chapter 33 I didn’t waste my life with him, ruin my marriage, and ruin the home that I had for him to throw me like some trash bin. If anything, I was to be the one to throw him and that wife of his in that trash can before drowning them deep in the pacific ocean. They still didn’t know who they were up against, and it was mostly due to the fact that I was often forced to stay quiet. The need for money made me stay quiet, and the need to be loved and protected made me zip my mouth up. The man provided me with what I needed, and in turn, I gave him my heart and body. What more could he have asked for.  But no, Nikolay chose to go to the woman that he swore he didn’t want.  “My apologies for taking too long. I had to put a few ground rules that set up a few boundaries.”  “As long as she knows her limits, I don’t think that I could ask for more.” His words about her toward me made me doubt even his love to me. Like, if a man could say all that about one woman and sleep with her, how much could he say about me before he’s gotten rid of me? fucking mean that you are pregnant?” He asked, shaking his head at me, finally processing what I just told him. “The two of us have been using protection. Who the fuck have you been fucking…?”  I slapped him before he could complete his sentence, taking him off guard. And though that wasn’t the smartest of moves right now. The cops that were outside have entered the house to catch Katerina’s father for being caught because of domestic abuse. I knew that he deserved the slap that he got. Him calling me a slut, whether or not it was direct, was not something that I was going to allow. Especially that him of all people should actually know that I would rather they kill me or I died somehow, instead of cheating sleep with other men, and you of all people should be aware of it. As for getting pregnant. It happened. The two of us fucked, and protection. or not, it happened. I don’t believe that we even used protection last time as I doubt that you had any condoms and as a result, I am carrying YOUR BABY, AND NOT MINE alone.” I said, snapping at him, catching his parents‘ attention. I was glad that cops signed a protection protocol. It was one that ensured the privacy in the house that they entered unless proved needed. Otherwise, this family would have had their news all over the news, and being related to Nikolay somehow, being attacked by fans was the last thing that I needed.  I couldn’t handle being the center of attention in a negative way. I had tried it with my ex and it was one of the MAIN reasons why the two of us broke up. The man saw me as nothing but a pleasure toy, and that was something that I did not want to repeat with Nikolay. Therefore, I chose to often stay hidden. Well, there was also the fact that I was also exposed as the cheater who chose to love a younger man, Nikolay, who was three five years younger than I was, for his money.  The thing was, yes, despite being with him because he spoiled me when we first started dating. I did fall in love with him, but it was never enough love for me to take him as he was. I didn’t come out of the dust bin to be thrown into another one with nothing to support myself.  If anything, for Nikolay, I couldn’t work anywhere anymore a they all believed that I was a scandal walking on this planet. When confronted about it, no one really bothered give a proper explanation to why I was accused of so. And it wasn’t until I found out that it was my ex who was the one to prevent me from working anywhere that I stopped looking.  Thankfully, Nikolay supported me enough over the years, but I knew that him not doing so would only make me lose everything that I worked to get. The man couldn’t just easily let me go after what I let go for him, right? I mean, I did fight to keep things between us, wanting them to be as perfect as I could make them. He couldn’t possibly just throw that out the window. The Nikolay that I knew wouldn’t do that, not easily, and not cold. us and asked. Her eyes were harder than they ever were, and I had to admit. A small part of me was afraid of what she would do if she could lay her hand on me. The woman was known for her cold heart, hell, even her visits to my house told me that she was not only cold hearted, but was a woman who liked to control everything that she set her eye upon, and that included ME as well.  “You can ask your son about our night the last time we were officially together. To make things better for you even, we can have a blood test and you can confirm that the baby is yours. Then you can decide what you want to do.”  “Do you really believe that I won’t?” She asked, glaring at me. She grabbed my arm, pulling me toward her car before pushing me to get inside.  “You wouldn’t be you if you didn’t test it out anyway.” I said, giving her a sarcastic smile. She shook her head at me before grabbing me by my collar, pulling it in her hand.  “IF I find out that the baby is not my son’s or that this is just a game from yours I will be sure that you regret it, do you understand me? I will take out all the anger that I have toward everyone on you, and that is the last thing that you need.” She said and I smiled, shaking my head at her. The woman didn’t know love and wouldn’t know what it was if it hit her in the face. I was a woman who was happy being pregnant, and though my lover didn’t approve of the pregnancy just yet, knowing him, it was only a matter of time before he was beside me, supporting me, both mentally and emotionally. “Especially since you know how I feel about your presence around my son to begin with.“. Chapter 32  Nikolay:  “Nikolay, we have to get Katerina to the hospital.” Anastasia said, looking at  “What the fuck are you doing here?” I asked, glaring at the woman whose  widened in surprise.  eyes  “I came and helped your wife, thank you very much.” She said, snapping back at me. I had to fight back taking my anger out on her as I saw my father lifting my wife in his arms. The fact that she stood up to Katerina was something that I couldn’t understand, but seeing as I had no time to think of it, I chose to allow the topic to slide, for now. The woman could explain herself later, though at this point, I didn’t even know when later would be.  The fact that the man came to the house to begin with was far more disturbing than I could think of describing. And the anger than I felt for him doing so or even thinking that he could was one that I couldn’t just ignore. But for now, I was forced to stay quiet, settling for breaking his face for hurting my wife.  “The ambulance is on the way. She would probably need to stay there for a few days. I don’t know how many kicks the man landed on her stomach or what damage he could have inflicted, but her face is badly injured.” Dad said, holding her in his arms. “As for what Anastasia came here to do. It was me and your mom who called her here. The two of you have a few things to talk about, and considering the fact that you two refuse to be adult enough to discuss anything, then we chose to do that for you. However, right now, we need to take care of Katerina who is need of medical attention. They can take care of her father as well before we file a report of domestic abuse.”  I looked at Katerina who was peacefully asleep in my father’s arms. Her chest rose and fell and she lay her head on his chest as her body bled. I couldn’t help but notice that my father’s once white shirt was now red. I  & B B BBM M  Chapter 32  went to take a step toward her only to frown when dad took a step back.  “Did you know that she filed a report against your mother?  “Yes.” I said, avoiding his eyes. “I was with her when she did it. She filed the report after mom slapped her.”  “Why did she slap her?”  “I do not know. All I do know is that she slapped her, and it was something that I didn’t like. I took her out of the house for that reason as well, but seeing as her father has abused her a lot more severely, I am sure that things would be different in this case.” I said, and dad nodded. Mom walked toward dad and slowly ran her hand over Katerina’s hair. And for the first time since I was a kid, I saw a gentle side that I don’t remember ever seeing from my mom toward any of us. And I wasn’t sure whether it was after what she saw or was it basic remorse, but I could tell that something was different.  “If she needs a lawyer to ensure her protection, then we are going to hire her the best one. As for protection from her father, we will have someone protecting the two of them around the clock. It may be hard to be done eventually, but she would be forced to deal with it. The last thing we need is for him to keep coming every other day, hurting the girl simply because he claimed that he was he father.” Mom said, making me frown in confusion. The fact that he was coming every other day alone was disturbing, and the fact that I didn’t know about this was even more annoying, but then again, I was rarely ever home to even know about such details.  “The security alarms would have your facial recognition, which means that even if you escape this one. If you approach the house again, you would find it surrounded by cops as you are identified as a thief, and I don’t think that the businessman wants to be seen as an abusive father who has hurt his daughter or am I wrong?”  “You are playing a very dangerous game, and it would be one that would lead you all to a messy situation that you would not know how to handle.  Chapter 32  147% 16:56 “Am I now? Was it not you who came and abused the girl? These videos. have been sent to the station, and judging by the call that I got from them a while ago after I was called and informed by them that you entered the house. The house would be surrounded by cops who would see you hurting your daughter, and I don’t think that they would be as sentient as you are hoping that they are.” Mom taunted just as the ambulance arrived. The gates opened, revealing three cops who were letting the ambulance inside, waiting for further orders from mom who nodded..  The man shied back, wanting to run, and as they placed the stretcher on the floor, dad put Katerina to lay on top of it, careful not to hurt her as he did. Her chest rose and fell, and though I could tell that her breathing was weak, I was just thankful that she was alive.  “Boss, we are going to need to get her to the hospital urgently. Her stomach is badly injured and I fear that her womb was affected.” The paramedic said, looking at me. My heart dropped to my stomach, and glaring at her father, the man’s eyes widened in surprise as he heard what was just said.  “What do you mean?” He asked, shaking his head in fear. The man’s face was completely rearranged, but it didn’t seem like he cared at this point. He was more focused on what the paramedic had to say.  “I believe that she could be having some serious internal injuries, and judging by the bruises that have already formed, I can tell that her womb. might be injured. We will talk about the details after a proper X–ray and ultrasound. We would know where we are taking things from there.” The paramedic said, and mom shook her head, looking down at her feet. I couldn’t help but notice Anastasia try to stop herself from smiling. Of course, she would be smiling. At least, this way, she would have a reason to fight me for being with me. And the fact that she was here to begin with. annoyed me, but for now, that was a whole story that I had no time to hear. Her claiming that she was here to speak to me only for us to be “Could the injury affect the chances of her having a child?” Anastasia asked, pretending to feel sorry upon hearing the news. I of all people know that this was something that she would be more than just a little happy about. But the paramedics couldn’t read her expression as they looked at me, clearly recognizing that I was Katerina’s husband.  “We cannot determine that until after the ultrasound. For now, we will settle to hoping for the best.” He said, lifting the stretcher as they placed Katerina inside the car. I glared at Anastasia who smiled as she looked at me, shrugging her shoulders.  “What is your fucking problem?” I asked, wrapping my hands around the woman. She smiled at me, her smile sarcastic and not reaching her eyes. If anything. I could tell that she was more than just a little happy. She was proud of what she was doing, and what she just heard. It was something that I knew very well about her.  “Sadly, it is your wife.” She said, nodding at the car which was starting drive off. “As for why I came here, I believe that you would be more than just a little happy with what I would be telling you. You know, especially since it should be a dream come true to you.”  “What do you fucking mean?” I asked, shaking my head in question. At this point, the last thing I needed was to deal with her riddles, and that was something that even she knew. Hell, if anything, she was the ONLY one who would know when I was angry when I was. It was the advantage that I had when I was with her.  The whole world, mine and the one surrounding me, could crumble beneath my feet and she would be the only one to know that it was by simply looking at me. It was one of the reasons why the two of us clicked so easily, and it sickened me that she was using it to her advantage right  now.  Just the fact that there was a possibility of the poor woman losing another  WELL-  ✔ ✔ B B B G MAM 

Chapter 31  Katerina:  1 screamed at the top of my lungs as he walked out of the room.  Thankfully, the pillow that I placed on my face muffled my voice, and the soundproof walls did their job.  The man couldn’t seriously believe that I would forgive and forget what he did or said simply because he was throwing in such excuses.  For fucks sake, his mother held me accountable for him not touching me, and now, even when I did try, I was left naked in his bed while he resented touching me. That was a feeling that I wouldn’t forget until the end of time.  My heart raced against my ribcage, and my hands shook as I tried. processing, slowing down the conversation in my head as to process what happened, but my anger which was getting the best of me somewhat prevented me from doing so. And at this point, I wasn’t even sure who I was angry with. Was it myself? Was it Nikolay? I didn’t know. All I knew was that I was furious.  My phone rang, and glaring at it, I answered without bothering to check who was calling. I chose to stay quiet for a few seconds only to notice that whoever had answered did not say a word. I frowned, and checking who was calling, my heart dropped when I saw that it was my father. The man was calling me through HIS phone number.  “Father?”  “I will not be taking much of your time, but I do expect you to listen to every single word that I am going to tell you now. I do not care what you may think about it, and I do not care how you may feel about me speaking to you right now. You are my daughter, and if you screw this up, I will be sure that I screw your life up.” He said, cutting to the point. I stayed quiet,  1/6  JJ BB BBM M  Chapter 31  M  164% 16:53  looking down at my feet as I anticipated the worst. The fear that consumed me was one that I could not describe, and the man was yet to even say a word. Hell, the fact that he called me was intimidating enough. His tone was colder and meaner than even the one he used when he spoke to me when I was talking to mum, and that was something that made me know that he would stop at nothing to break me right now.  “Father, please at least try to listen to me or at least try to understand my own point in this.” I said, begging for him to understand. I knew that he wouldn’t, he never really did. I was not his favorite child, despite being his eldest, and ONLY known child. I didn’t know whether or not he had others, but judging by the hate that both he and mum often showed me, I doubted that I was his only daughter by now.  Surely a man with one child couldn’t hate them so much, right? Especially not their own daughter.  “I do not care what your say in this is. Believe me, Katerina, it is the least of my concern. The fact that you tend to believe that I should have some sympathy toward what you are feeling amazes me, but then again, you were often spoiled by the whole family, and therefore, this was expected from you as a reaction.” He said, and I shook my head. The man has done. nothing more than torment me in every possible way, and if anything, he and everyone that I knew chose to break me and whenever I did stand on my feet, they claimed that I was spoiled.  “I do not think that being beaten, humiliated, and bashed in front of people made me spoiled. If anything, it broke my soul as years went by, and I simply recovered from them on my own.” I said, my tone darkening, turning darker thane even his was. He laughed, not caring about it. I didn’t really expect him to anyway. The man couldn’t care less if I died let alone broke down.  “You are a spoiled brat, and that is something that no one can disagree on. Anyhow, it is not why I called you.” He said calmly. “I believe that you are  Chapter 31 even know about X, and you would be nothing but a corner for him to come to. He could either choose to file a divorce, and he can tell them that you are not satisfying him. Believe me, if that happens, then your case is closed. Wife or not, you have not satisfied his needs as a man, and he chose otherwise. Say, you chose to be the one to file for him cheating. You are going to be getting a few hundreds of thousands, then what? Would another man look at you?”  “You are a woman who has been hated by the man you married since day one. None of us in the house want your presence, and I believe that you are well aware of the fact that you coming home to me would be…”  “I did not do anything to be hated by you guys. My husband and I just met and it is only normal for us to not know one another. As for having a child, I am not going to give a child to a man that I do not know. The man could not even be ready for that, have you considered it?” I asked, stopping him, bursting qut.  “I believe that you are growing a new tongue, aren’t you?” He asked, making my heart drop to my stomach. “I can easily cut it off if you want me to. Just let me know, and I will be sure to remind you of the limits that you chose to forget.”  “Father, please give me a chance to at least run my marriage right. I cannot have you controlling my life, breaking my heart with everything that you are doing. I was not born to be controlled by you.” I said, shaking my head as my voice broke. I sat on the floor, wanting to get off from the bed as I felt like my world was spinning. My whole ground felt like it was shaking, and the pain that I felt was one like no other.  I didn’t have anyone to lean on if my walls broke, and at this point, I really did believe that I was alone. I just didn’t understand how I was going to do  Chapter 31  BBB BMM “Look out your window.” He said, and I frowned in confusion, finding him by the house’s door. My heart throbbed, and the fact that he was here to begin with scared the life out of me. The man was supposed to be at England, and the last thing that I–expected was to find him standing in front of me.  I rushed downstairs, my heart racing at the fact that he could, and would end up causing a scene. The last thing I needed right now was for the family to see him breaking me right now. It was bad enough that I was dealing with the amount of pressure that I was dealing with. This was not something that I wanted to handle too.  I opened the house’s door, and a slap landed on my right cheek before I could even walk out. My heart throbbed, and my cheek ached as the slap’s area pumped. My hands shook as I held on the knob, and it wasn’t until he wrapped his hands around my shirt’s collar, pulling me out, that I processed that my grip tightened around the doorknob. Chapter 29  Katerina:  41 1831  Never in my life did I think that I would be dealing with such humiliation.  My heart throbbed as I showered, letting the water cascade around my body as tears fell from my eyes.  This was the third shower I was taking for the day, and I was yet to feel completely clean as I remembered how he rejected me.  The man literally saw me naked under him, and rather than take me, he rejected me.  His mum was right. I really wasn’t doing my duties as his wife.  I couldn’t join them at dinner, excusing myself of being sick. I was, but not in a medical way, at least, not in the way that they think that I am. It was more emotional, more painful, and even more humiliating. And the worst. part about it was that the man didn’t even know that I was feeling this much pain because of him. Or even if he did, he didn’t really give a damn.  I walked out of the shower, drying my body before putting on a pants and. shirt. I was going to bed anyway, and the last thing that I needed was to see or speak to anyone. The fact that I was going to have to go down for breakfast was something that I dreaded. But I also knew that I couldn’t keep myself locked up forever.  I brushed my hair as I sniffed, and I couldn’t help the frown that formed. on my face when I saw that my phone was ringing, and more specifically, it was my mother who was calling me.  This was her first call since the second day of our marriage, and taking a deep breath, I answered the phone. “Hello, mother.”  “You remembered that you have a mother.” She said, her tone sarcastic. knew that I would be stopping. The last thing that I would do as a person was bombard your phone with tens of calls when I knew that you were not going to answer me.” I said, choosing to stay calm, forcing myself to suck in my pain. “I do hope that you are well.”  “You have been married a month, and I believe that it is more than enough for you to grow pregnant.” She said, making me frown in confusion. “So, have you stabilized yourself as his wife or are you still playing the little bride’s game?”  “Mother, I have been married a month, and the entire month, neither one. of you bothers to call me. When you do, you ask me such a question?” I asked, choosing my words carefully. “No, I am not pregnant, and I do not intend to be anytime soon…”  “You will listen, and I will be sure that you have that drilled in your head before I make sure to drill it myself.” She said, stopping me. Her tone harsher than I could ever remember it to be. I couldn’t help but find myself wanting to shy back as I heard dad’s voice in the background, and though I couldn’t see the man, I could already imagine his expression. And it was one that I knew that I did not want to see. The man was known for his abuse toward me, at least, within the house’s walls. Thankfully, around people, I was saved from that kind of humiliation. It was the one thing that I was blessed with to say the least. The rest was just ongoing luxury which everyone saw as too much for me, claiming that I got it too easy, which wasn’t the case. If anything, I worked harder than most of the family members have, and it was to always prove a point that I was not the failure that they claimed that I was. “One more word and I will come to that house of yours that you believe. would protect you so much and will be sure that I break the sense of ‘pride‘ that you seem to be having. If you think that you can stand behind your husband to protect you, then I believe that you are well aware of the fact that the man is cheating on you with a different woman. I don’t think that any of us is stupid to think that the picture is an old one, but considering the fact that you two chose to be smart about it, we let it go. Otherwise, your ‘husband‘ would have seen you at court, and I think that it is the last thing that you want to do right now.” Mom said, her tone more aggressive than it ever was.  My heart raced against my ribcage, and just as I was about to answer, I was surprised when I heard dad’s voice on the other line. His tone harsher than it ever was to me, making my heart ache as I felt it clenching.  “I will give you my warning, Katerina, and though I don’t think that your need to be warned. A fair reminder is always in order sometimes when putting sluts like yourself in place.” He said, making my chest ache. Just the fact that he, my father, the man who was to protect me from. everything was calling me that made my heart break, reminding me of the past that I couldn’t escape. It was one that I knew would haunt me until the end of time.  The thing was, having seen how this family was today, I grew more scared for my child who wouldn’t have stable parents to be able to raise them. On one side, I never grew in a stable environment where I was genuinely loved by my parents. If anything, I knew that both of them wanted “If you don’t stop acting like a child, I will be sure that you grow back to the woman that you are. Don’t think for a second that you being married has saved you. It hasn’t. and if need brings be, I will be coming to you, and 1 will be ripping your vocal cords to simply teach you what it was to cross your limits with your mother and father. I will feed them to you to keep the lesson drilled in your head, and when you are done, I will have you going back to your husband, a voiceless wife who would give him the children that she owed him.” He said, knowing that I would comply. The thing was, I wasn’t going to comply because I simply wanted to, if that were the case, so much would have been solved as I grew older. The man knew that he would hurt me, and he was very well aware that I knew that he wouldn’t hesitate for a second to do so. It was one of the disadvantages of being who I was with a man like him, and regardless of whatever I did. It didn’t matter to him. As long as HE said a word, I as his daughter, was forced to submit. “Why are you talking like marrying me is causing you more hell than good? I know that it isn’t the best of marriages, but I doubt that I am giving you the hell that you are talking about.” I said, frowning in confusion as I looked at her. She smiled, her smile fake, holding more grudge in it than I thought a person could have. The way she looked at me told me that she wanted nothing more than to punch me in the face, and seeing her clench her fists, I could tell that this was where we were going if I kept pressing on her more than I already was.
