“What the F***! Aunt Capella, what do you think you’re doing?!” Bryan glared covering our n*ked b*dy properly with the blanket.
“The question is, what do you both think you’re doing? This is just past 3 pm for goodness and you’re both here in your bed. Doing what exactly? You left your work at the office just to be with a woman?” She questioned looking at him disappointed.
“She’s not just any woman. She’s my wife!” Bryan hissed.
“Whatever” She replied with her eyes rolled.
“What do you want?” Bryan asked. I could tell he was trying so hard to control his temper.
“We need to talk. It’s important” She replied, curtly.
“Still, Aunt Capella, no matter how serious whatever you intend to discuss with me might be, you shouldn’t have barged in on us like that. This is my matrimonial bedroom!” Bryan begins to complain but I hurriedly stop him as I hold his right arm firmly. He needs to stop talking because, at this point, she might end up raining all the blame on me.
“So, you’re now talking back at me in front of your wife, right?”
Exactly what I had predicted. She will blame me for Bryan’s reaction towards her.
Bryan groaned and rubbed his face looking frustrated already. “Can you please not start this now? You’re wrong here and you know that. No matter what, you shouldn’t have barged in on us like that”
“Are you getting up from that place and attend to me now or, do you want me to stay here with the both of you?” She asked instead. I believe, she just doesn’t want to drag the issue with Bryan. I might not have spent much time with her but with the little I noticed about her, she’s never the type to back down easily.
I think they all inherit that stubbornness in their household.
“Can you excuse us for a few minutes? I will join you soon downstairs Bryan

“Meet me in my room, Bryan. Whenever you’re done with this THING you’re doing, meet me there” She said, emphasizing on the word ‘thing‘ as she pointed between Bryan and I.
“Your room?” Bryan asked, looking shocked and confused. Not only him, I was surprised too but I dare not say a word. She’s too scary for my liking.
It’s obvious, she doesn’t like me. Contributing to their conversation is as well as me digging for my own grave.
“Yes, my room. I’m staying here for two weeks. Got a problem with that?”
“But you didn’t inform… You know what, do whatever pleases you. Just… Just excuse me for now. At least, I need to get change before we can talk, right?”
“Right” She passes me one more dangerous look before walking out of the room and slamming the door so hard making me jolt in fear.
Once she was out of our sight, I let out a deep breath I had no idea I’vl’den holding in for too long.
“Babe, are you okay?” I heard Bryan ask in a worried and concerned. Afraid of using my mouth, I end up just nodding my head.
“I’m sorry, okay. Believe me, I have no idea she will be coming over. She never tells me anything”
“It’s fine. She’s your aunt after all. Your family. You don’t have to fight her over mere issues or try stopping her from visiting”
He looked at me proudly and smiled. “I will be right back, okay? Just stay here and wait for me” he k*ssed me on my l*p and got up from the bed. He sauntered towards the bathroom and took a quick shower.
A few seconds later, he was out. He changed into something comfortable and left the room in a hurry. I also got up to shower immediately after he left and wore a short blue
blue gown.
Having this weird thought in my head, I found myself getting up from where I was sitting and headed out of the room. I saw one of the maids and asked which of the rooms Aunt Capella was staying in. After being told, I sauntered to her room and just when I was about to knock on her door, I stopped
immediately I heard my name being mentioned.
“You still choose that crazy girl Emily over Catherine, right?”
Catherine? Who’s Catherine?
“Aunt Capella, please… Bryan trailed off, I could hear the irritation laced in his
tone.
“You didn’t come here to scold me for choosing Emily over her, did you?”
I don’t know what might be wrong with me because just by the girl’s name, I’m starting to boil in anger.
“Of course, it’s one of the reasons why I’m here. How could you decide to choose that nob*dy of a girl over Catherine? Her parents were also mafia, a powerful one just like you. If only you had chosen her then, a lot would have changed by now”
“You want me to choose that cheat because her family would have helped me out or what? I have nothing to benefit from the Santiago family instead, it should be the other way round!” He busted.
“But Bryan, why can’t-”
“Please, Aunt Capella. Emily is now my wife. She’s the woman that I love. You have to accord her that respect and if you don’t, I would advise you to stop coming to my house. Stay at your husband’s house and stop coming to mine to intimidate my wife”
I widened my eyes in horror hearing him say that.
“W… What?! You’re stopping me from visiting because of that good–for- nothing gir-”
“Please, stop it!!! JUST… STOP IT!!!” He busted.
“Bryan!” She yelled at him too.
“She has a name okay? She’s my wife and you have to accord her some respect! It’s been years, Aunt Capella! Whatever happened between Catherine and I, was already in the past and you know it! Besides, I didn’t leave her… She left me first! She cheated on me with another man! She believed I wouldn’t make it! She wanted a rich man and left me to be with him. And now, what?

“Is that the reason why you decided to choose your Best friend junior sister? She’s not even related to Brandon? Do you even love her? Why didn’t you choose Janet instead?” She bombarded him with questions.
“Really?” Bryan scoffed. “It’s now from Catherine to Janet?” He asked.
“You know what? I’m out of here. I’m not going to stand here and watch you insult my wife!”
“Bryan! Don’t you dare walk out on me! We’re not done talking yet!”
“Of course, we’re done talking! You have nothing serious to talk about. All you kept doing ever since you arrived here was throwing complaints against my wife. We just got married and I expect you to treat her with love and care. Just in the same way you did for me but no, you don’t care about that. You’re so eager to force another woman on me despite knowing that I’m in love with Emily!
“That girl has bewitched you! This is not the Bryan I used to know. The Bryan I know would never talk back at me in this manner!!
I heard Bryan scoff again. “Bewitched me? I can’t believe you believe in those craps too. Besides, whatever reaction you’re getting from me at this moment,. just know that you caused it. You shouldn’t have messed with her
I don’t know why but tears begin to stream out of my eyes down my cheeks. I idea! had no Bryan loved me this much. Watching him con fighting for me is something I never expected to witness. He’s making me fall in love with him more and more. I had always thought what he wanted from me was none other than S**, I had no idea he had good intentions for me.

They were killed? Were they also Mafia like Bryan? Why were they killed? “What?!”
“Yes, and it’s part of the reason why I’m here. Nick has all the information and will be here any moment from now. Look, Bryan… I’m sorry I overreacted, okay? I just don’t seem to like that girl for you. I didn’t mean to upset you”
“If you truly love me like you claim, you’ll respect my choice and decision. No matter what you do or say, I will never leave Emily. She’s the woman I have chosen for myself and nothing is going to change that”
“Fine, can we at least talk about what has brought me here?”
Not wanting to hear anything further, I turned around and left for my room.
Looking at it now, I just realized that I know nothing about Bryan. I claim to love him yet, I have no slight idea of anything going on in his life. Neither do I know about his parents nor his family background.
Is he the only son of his family? Does he have siblings? Aside from Aunt Capella, are there any other relatives I don’t know of? I know, we haven’t. discussed much after our marriage I at least asked questions? Especially about his family.
