Two Weeks later
Can I say, I am proud and happy to be called Mrs. Emily Bryan Samuel?
Well, I’m not that sure yet but, one thing I can say for sure is, that I like how things are flowing now between Bryan and I. It’s been a week after my marriage with Bryan and all I can scream of is the word; PERFECT.
Funny enough, I find myself loving the title; Mrs. Samuel now bestowed on
- me.
Surprisingly, I had no idea this man also owned lots of properties here in New York until I got married to him. He owns tons of beautiful houses- No, the house is an understatement. They are mansions, especially the one we’re staying at presently. It’s a nice house and I’m enjoying every bit of it.
And my relationship with Bryan, if there’s any other word to use other than perfection then, I would have to make use of it. Weeks ago, I decided to accept. my reality believing that being stubborn or hard to get won’t do me anything. good and now, I’m already in it, as; Mrs. Bryan Samuel.
I’m now known all over the world as the most powerful Mafia leader’s wife whom no one dares to disrespect. I share the same respect as my husband. from everyone now which is fine with me.
I’m the type who loves attention and, getting it from people all over everywhere makes me feel good.
Bryan on the other hand isn’t helping the situation as his nice attitude towards. me wouldn’t stop. I’m slowly getting attached to him. Spending time with him. these past few days and his sweet, romantic gesture towards me has made me so addicted to him. Despite living under the same roof, once he left for work in the morning, he would call to inform me he’d arrived at his office. Always wanting to hear my voice.
At lunchtime, he would also call or sometimes, pick me up from my office so we could have lunch together. Before going to bed, he makes sure to watch me sleep before he does. He keeps telling me every day how much he loves me. He seems genuine because he’s putting in effort to win my heart.
Lought to go to work today but I took the day off. I told my boss I wouldn’t be corning for today and instead, he gave me a week break.
Just like that!
Well, it’s a privilege to be the trillionaire wife.
I know, you’re wondering why I wasn’t working at my father’s or brother’s company. Well, I’m an independent type and. I do not wish to clash myself with Janet when it comes to the family’s wealth.
I’ve known her to be an insecure type so, working in the same company with her is like making her dig more hatred for me in her heart. Dad will definitely want to give me a high position in the company and I do not want that. It will later result in competition between us. That’s why I searched for a job at another company and I’m happy working there.
After my wedding with Bryan, he tried to stop me saying he wouldn’t allow his wife to do petty job but I insisted I would continue my job. Never am I going to be dependent on anyone.
Learning that I’m now Bryan’s wife, the chairman of my company offered me a high position but I declined him. I love my job as it’s and nothing is going to change that.
I’m at home resting as I just finished speaking with my husband on the phone when I heard a knock on my door.
“Come in, the door is open” I said to whoever might be at the other side of the door even though I knew it was one of the maids.
Clara, one of the maids walked in, greeted me as she bowed her head and said. “Ma’am, some two ladies are downstairs asking after you. They claim to be your sisters”
“What?! Janet and Jessica are here?!” I widened my eyes in horror as I jumped up from my bed and rushed out of the room. Sauntering downstairs and stopping on the last staircase, I watched as Janet smiled and shook her head at what Jessy whispered to her.
I missed them so much. Though we talk on the phone every day but it can’t be as real as when we were staying together. I missed everyone.
Jessy! Janet!” I exclaimed excitedly before running to them and engulfing them both in a tight hug.
“Surprise!!!” Jessica exclaimed happily after breaking the hug.
“Oh my goodness! What are you two doing here?” I asked, scanning them from head to toe. They dress so well, especially Janet. I’ve never seen her dressed like this before.
“And, what sort of a question is that? Aren’t we welcome here at your house? Plus, this is our first time visiting after your wedding with Bryan so, are you trying to say that we keep visiting continuously which is out of line?” Janet said, sounding pissed.
“What? No! Of course, not. I… I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just, you two took me by surprise. You didn’t call or let me know you’ll be coming over. I’m… I’m sorry. I was just surprised to see you two here” I hurriedly apologized to her before she take it personal and twist my words.
“That’s enough ladies.” Jessy said, swiftly standing in between Janet and I before dragging us to sit. “We’re here to spend time with you. It’s been weeks. already Emily. Everyone misses you so much, especially Mom, she wouldn’t stop talking about you in the house” She added, facing me as she took my hands and began to caress them.
“I felt that too and I also missed her so much. Why didn’t she come with you girls?”
She seems busy with her bakery stuff and –”
“Emily, where’s your room with Bryan? Take us there, I want to see what your room looks like” Janet cut Jessica off from completing her statement.
“But Janet, we just got-” Before Jessy could complete her statement again, Janet held my hand and dragged me up with her.
It has been an hour already and we’re all engrossed in our conversation. I’m loving this as it feels like girl’s time to me. We talk about so many things and I can’t even hide my excitement. I’m really happy they visit me.
“Okay, enough of the unimportant conversation. Let’s get down to business”
Janet said, facing me with a serious look on her face. I looked at Jessy whilst she gave me the look of ‘I have no idea of what she’s talking about‘
“You and Bryan, how is it going between you two? I mean, he claimed he loves you but, what about you? Are you in love with him? No. So, do you plan on divorcing him in a few months?” Janet asked but my heart strike from pain weirdly hearing the word ‘divorce‘
“Janet!” Jessy exclaimed.
“What? It’s just a harmless question, okay? She doesn’t love him so, it’s okay if she has that thought in mind already” she replied with rolling eyes at Jessy. “So, answer me, Emily. Do you plan on divorcing him? I know of the best lawyer in town. Though, I’m not sure if the court will favor us considering how influential Bryan is” She asked, facing me.
Before replying to her, a deep sigh left my l*p as I began to shake my head slowly. “I… I don’t think I will ever divorce Bryan”
“What?!!” They both look at me in shock.
Janet especially, I don’t know if what I just saw is right but.., did I just see anger written all over her face?
No, I think I’m wrong. Janet has no reason to be upset at me for not wanting to divorce Bryan.
“Yes. I won’t divorce him and that’s never going to happen”
“Why? Are you in love with him now?” Jessica asked.
“Hmmm” I hummed in shyness. “I think, I’m falling for him. Ever since the very day he came back into my life, all he ever did was try to make me happy. He… He keeps proving to me every day that he wants me. No day will pass and he won’t tell me he loves me. I tried pushing him away but he kept doing what will make me want him more. The more I tried pushing him away, the more I craved for him.. for his presence. I think… I think I’m in love with Bryan” I said.
I look at them in the eyes to see their reaction but, I can’t seem to understand the look portrayed on their faces.

“Girls, stop staring at me like that and say something You re scaring me” I said
to them in a worried tone.
“Are you crazy?! You’re in love with Bryan? Do you even have an idea of what you’re saying? You know what? Never! Not in my watch will I ever allow you to be with him!!!” Janet declared with a very pissed voice while Jessy and I stared at her shocked.
What’s she talking about I wonder what has gotten into her out of the blue
