Chapter 45 Purge
Liam listened to his assistant’s words and couldn’t help but think about the situation Gwyneth was currently facing. His hand tightened instinctively into a fist. “Have the tech department uncover the financial patterns of Glen Corporation,” he instructed.
The assistant’s heart skipped a beat when he heard Liam. He quickly hurried off to handle the matter..
Meanwhile, the shareholders‘ meeting at Glen Corporation continued. One shareholder spoke up, “Ms. Glen, as harsh as it may sound, the truth remains that Glen Corporation’s stocks are plummeting, and you cannot escape responsibility for it.”
A second shareholder joined in. “Let’s face it, being a CEO requires expertise. Someone as young as you is simply not up to the lask.”
“Gwyneth, it’s in your best interest to step down before this situation escalates any further. It’s wise to have an exit strategy.”
As those shareholders expressed their opinions, Gwyneth maintained her composure, twirling the pen in her hand. A subtle smile graced her lips, revealing that she wasn’t the least bit perturbed; in fact, she found their stance rather enjoyable.
The reason Gwyneth refrained from immediately exposing Gaspard was precisely due to this situation. During Gaspard’s tenure as the CEO of Glen Corporation, he had cultivated a group of trusted individuals. Whether they were loyal to Gaspard or simply opportunistic, Gwyneth wanted none of them. So, taking advantage of this opportunity for a fresh start seemed like a good idea.
While there would also be a need to assess and screen the lower–level employees and leaders within the company, purging these top–tier individuals would provide her with greater peace of mind.
After a few minutes, the voices gradually subsided, and the conference room sank into silence. Gwyneth finally placed her pen down.” Does any other director have something to add? Is there anyone else who believes I should step down?”
Silence was the only response she received.
Seeing Gaspard smirking on the side, Gwyneth couldn’t help but feel a sense of pity for those shareholders who had been used as pawns. However, despite her sympathy, she knew that those type of people must have possessed their own despicable qualities, which justified
their predicament.
“Well then…” Gwyneth let out a heavy sigh, rising to her feet, her voice filled with solemnity. “I suppose even if the CEO of Glen Corporation changes, the ownership of the shareholders remains unchanged, correct?”
Upon hearing this, the people in the room grew slightly perplexed, uncertain as to why Gwyneth had suddenly brought up this matter.
“Then, since I hold over fifty percent of the shares in Glen Corporation, I have an absolute majority, right?”
Gwyneth’s words served as a pointed reminder to those who had voiced their objections earlier. With her firm control over the majority of shares, their dissent became meaningless. However, she deliberately left the second half of that sentence unspoken, allowing the weight of her ownership to speak for itself.
Gwyneth blinked her eyes gently, maintaining a subtle smile. Those who had confidently raised their hands mere moments ago now seemed ready to sink beneath the table.
“Wesley.”
Upon hearing Gwyneth’s soft call, Wesley understood her cue and stood up, carefully enunciating the names of the individuals just identified. He concluded with an expressionless tone, “To all of you mentioned, although you still retain partial ownership in Glen Corporation, your authority and influence within the company will be nullified after this meeting concludes.”
“What!” Almost simultaneously, those few individuals exclaimed, their eyes widening in shock.
“You all have been dismissed from Glen Corporation,” Wesley stated coldly, before retreating back behind Gwyneth, akin to a shadow.
For the next few minutes, a heavy silence enveloped the conference room as no one uttered a single word.
Perhaps no one in the room had anticipated the level of ruthlessness possessed by this young and seemingly inexperienced woman before them. Her unwavering resolve and undeniable power left no room for them to reclaim control.
“If there are no further matters to discuss, let us conclude the meeting.” Gwyneth nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders, effectively bringing the silent gathering to an end.
Disregarding the gazes of the others, she turned and walked out of the conference room.

As for the fate of those who had been dismissed and how they would navigate their dealings with Gaspard, Gwyneth held no interest in
knowing whatsoever.
Inside the elevator, Gwyneth’s mood was noticeably buoyant. In her company, anyone with dissenting intentions had to be swiftly and unequivocally eliminated. There would be no exceptions or room for leniency.
‘Boss, there’s some news.” Wesley, standing beside her, felt the phone vibrate and swiftly handed it to Gwyneth.
Gwyneth opened the phone to find a picture of a document sent by Liam. Stepping out of the company, she promptly settled into the car. Without the need for explicit instructions, Wesley assumed the driver’s seat and waited in silence.
Sitting in the back seal, Gwyneth initially cast a casual glance at the document. However, the more she read, the more astonished and
focused she became.
“Go to Luther Corporation,” Gwyneth commanded.
Upon receiving the instruction, Wesley swiftly started the car and pressed down on the accelerator. Meanwhile, Gwyneth maintained her
focus on scrutinizing the document Liam had sent her. Its contents revealed unexpected fund outflows from Glen Corporation. As they arrived at Luther Corporation, Gwyneth handed the document to Wesley.
“This will be your next task. Concentrate on investigating the details of these documents,” Gwyneth instructed. Before Wesley could react, she exited the vehicle and headed directly into the building, making her way to the CEO’s office.
Standing at the entrance of the CEO’s office, Gwyneth couldn’t help but let out a light chuckle before knocking on the door. Upon hearing a response, she pushed the door open and confidently entered.
“Has the shareholders‘ meeting concluded?” Liam inquired, his gaze instantly filled with warmth as he looked up and saw Gwyneth standing before him.
“Mr. Luther, I can’t help but wonder if you’ve got some informants planted within Glen Corporation,” Gwyneth remarked.
