Chapter 159 Like a Jerk
Erin, who was in Mufrana, felt a little disappointed when she heard that Chandler had rejected her call. However, she could understand. Perhaps he was busy handling an urgent matter, so he did not have the time to chat with her.
Having no choice, she sent him a text, “Nothing’s up. I’m just missing you. Just carry on with your business. There’s no rush to call me
back.”
Erin’s feelings could not be expressed, so she could only do something to distract herself. She went to prepare a fruit salad in the living.

Ten minutes later, she brought her fruit salad outdoors, and she saw a model aircraft falling from the sky.
It was quite a big model, and it malfunctioned for some reason. At that moment, it crashed into the pool of the villa Erin was staying at.
About twenty minutes later, a white wooden boat slowly approached the pool from the sea in front of it.
Erin had been looking at the sea and was shocked when the man on the wooden boat took off his sunglasses. “Sean?”
Sean was dressed in beachwear and was holding a remote control, and he was just as shocked as Erin.
“Holy crap! I suddenly realized that it’s really a small world after all! I can bump into people I know anywhere!”
At that point, he already rowed his wooden boat slowly to the edge of the pool, and he immediately jumped in.
Soon, Sean came out of the pool, took off his clothes, and tossed it aside. Then, he wiped off the water on his face and smiled broadly.” How great! I don’t have to have dinner alone anymore tonight.”
Feeling curious. Erin asked, “Are you here on vacation too?”
Sean sat down on a chair next to her and grabbed the towel on the small table to wipe his torso and hair.
Half a minute later, he lossed the towel on the ground and said, “Well to be honest with you, I’m not here on vacation. I’m here to mourn a
person.”
Hearing that, Erin sat up a little straighter. It was as if continuing to slouch in the chair was a little disrespectful to the person who had
passed away. 1
She asked softly. “Who passed away?”
Sean looked a little dazed by her question. However, after giving it a thought, he felt there was nothing to hide.
He said seriously, “I’m not afraid that you’ll have a bad impression of me if I told you. That’s who I was in the past anyway… The person who passed away is a friend. Her name is Anna. To be more precise, she was the lover I’ve constantly dated in the past, but we had never
been in a relationship.”
Speaking of that, he deliberately glanced at Erin. As he had expected, she was a little surprised and confused, but she was not disdainful.
That gave Sean the courage to continue, “I learned from the newspaper about everything that had happened after you and Roman went to Fleuverton to shoot the movie. However, I had already gone to Nesharhiel at that time because my lover was there. She had cancer …”
Tears were welling up in his eyes a little, and his voice started to sound a little hoarse. “The heavens must have been jealous of her. That’s why she got a terminal illness at such a young age. I’ve been keeping her company during that time. On her deathbed, she told me she loves me. Because of that, she chose to let me be free. She said that’s the only way she could keep in touch with me for a longer time

Erin listened silently. This sad story broke her heart. Even though she had never met the girl named Anna, she could not help but feel emotional at how tolerant and humble Anna’s love for Sean was.
Anna had already passed away, so Erin did not want to give Sean her pointless views about it anymore.
Her silence made Sean ask in a self–mocking tone, “Erin, do you think I’m a huge jerk? A girl as great as she has passed away, but a man like me is still healthy. In my senior year, I slept with all the pretty, popular girls. Unfortunately, I was young and I didn’t know how to use protection back then. I’ve gotten the girls pregnant, and they’ve terminated their pregnancies for me. However, I heard all of them had gotten married and had children two years ago. As for me, I continue to be with various women, yet I’ve never truly loved anybody…”
The emptiness in Sean’s eyes made Erin feel a little strange for a moment. Her impression of him back then was indeed bad. It did change after she got to know him, but her impression of him being a womanizer never wavered.
Erin felt slightly conflicted after he told her about his private affairs so openly. One on hand, she felt Sean was a promiscuous man, and he did sound like a jerk as well. On the other hand, it seemed it was because he trusted her very much that he told her everything.
In fact, everybody had the freedom to choose the lifestyle they lead, and Erin had no right to make any comments. Looking at how sorrowful Sean looked, she also felt a little bad.
Erin said. “I hope your friend goes to heaven if there’s really such a place.”
Sean tore his gaze away from the sea and looked at her, then he sneered and said, “Erin, don’t you want to say anything about me? After learning that I’m a jerk, don’t you want to kick me into the sea?”
She said in confusion, “Why? You’re not my boyfriend, so why should I care? Even if you are, that’s in your past. Who am I to care about your past? I’ve never been a part of it.”
Sean admired Erin’s rationality and objectivity. Nodding his head a little, he said, “You know, you’re especially charming now. I suddenly have the strong urge to kiss you.” His gaze did not look like he was joking
Erin smiled calmly. “What a sweet talker. If I were single, I might really have fallen for you. It’s not hard to imagine how many girls a man with such a bewitching and beautiful face like yours had tricked.”
“Hold on. You mean you’re no longer single? Did I miss something? We’ve not been in touch for some time, but I know you have nothing to do with Roman. Even Matthew has emphasized to the media that he was single. So who’s your man?”
Sean could not help but feel curious. It absolutely could not be Chandler. After all, he got word that –
Erin looked at him and answered honestly, “Chander and I are together, and I’m carrying his child.” She touched her belly with a beaming
smile.
