Odin wanted to slap Mira right there and then.
“Odin, stop your dirty thoughts.” Mariah felt so disgusted. “I must have been blind to marry you when I was young. When you cheated on me back then, I didn’t kill you because of our daughter.”
“Mariah, don’t listen to her nonsense. She just wants to sow discord. If it weren’t for Elle seducing me back then, I wouldn’t have divorced
you.

“Odin, that’s going too far. If it weren’t for you lying to my mom,
saying you were divorced, how would she agree to be with you?” Mira sneered.
“Mira…”
The dinner hadn’t even started, and they were already arguing, giving Paige a headache.
“Stop. Don’t forget that today is when both families meet,” Paige interrupted in frustration. “If the Duncan family sees you like this, what would they think?”
Then…
They were all quiet.
After a moment, Mariah cursed, “Let them see! You’re the daughter of the Jordan family. You marry a divorced professor and even become a stepmother to his child. He’s not worthy of you!”
“Mom, please, can you stop for a moment?”

Mariah glanced at the time and realized that this argument had delayed them by ten minutes. It annoyed her even more.
Five minutes later.
Paige opened the door of the Royal Box.
Allen’s parents had already arrived for a while. Both of them appeared to be in their fifties, wearing glasses and dressed plainly, giving off an air of scholarly wisdom.
The elderly couple sat on either side of Abby. Briley Duncan, Allen’s mother, doted on her granddaughter, peeling the pine nuts for her.
Upon witnessing this scene, Mira furrowed her brows. It was clear that his parents were very fond of their granddaughter. If Abby was easy to get along with, there wouldn’t be any issues for Paige. However, the problem was that Abby was so young yet cun ning. If she decided to sow discord, there would definitely be conflicts.
“Dad, Mom, they are Paige’s parents, and her younger sister Mira,” Allen stood up and introduced them to his parents, pouring tea for them.
“Pleasure,” Allen’s father, Romeo Duncan, nodded. “Please have a
seat.”
“You are really lucky,” Briley looked at Mira and Paige, smiling. “You’ve given birth to such beautiful daughters, each with her own unique charm.”
There was silence.

Odin and Mariah said nothing.
Luckily, Allen had already heard from Paige about her parents’ divorce. He immediately said, “Mom, Dad, the main reason we’re meeting today is to discuss our wedding. Paige is marrying me at such a young age, and I wanna give her everything that I have, especially when it comes to the wedding. For every woman, a wedding is the most significant event of her life.”
Odin added, “Of course, the wedding must be impeccable. Mariah and I have many influential friends, and they will be attending the ceremony. My friends host weddings at five-star hotels or higher, and Paige’s wedding should only be better.”
