In the villa.
Zachary walked directly into the medical room on the third floor. “How’s it going?”
He didn’t care much about Julie. But she was his would–be wife and his kid’s
mother. He should show concern for her.
Seeing him, Timothy hurriedly said.
“Nothing serious. Mars is good. Julie got hurt in her knees. She fainted because she was too weak. Zachary, as far as I know, she is very healthy. But this time, these indexes aren’t much lower. She’s in poor health. Did you abuse her?”
In the face of his words, Zachary said nothing because…
The woman lying in bed was small in stature with a pallid face. Illuminated by the light, she resembled a fragile and emaciated broken doll, evoking pity.
However, she was not Julie. She was Gladys!
Moments ago, Gladys had been reconciling with an elderly man. Yet now, she was at his home, masquerading as Julie!
Zachary wondered what her plan was.
“Just leave her alone. Ask her to leave when she wakes up.”
“No! It’s not right!” Timothy pulled him when he was about to leave.
Timothy, puzzled, inquired, “Did you two have a disagreement? Even if you did, she’s injured and weak. She requires care and affection. As her fiancé and a man, it’s your responsibility to look after her. Anyway, I’ll prepare some medicine for her. You stay here.”
Before Zachary could refuse, Timothy swiftly departed.
He was determined to seize every opportunity to mend their relationship!
Zachary remained in place, his face exhibiting a cold yet handsome demeanor.

Gazing at Gladys’s face, he recollected the moment when she had been in the arms of an elderly man and the information he had learned about her. He then approached, lifting a glass from the table.
“Splash!” He poured the water on her face. The cold water woke her up at once.
She opened her eyes and saw a cold but graceful man by the bed.
He was in a black suit. Even his tie and watch were black. He gave out a sense of dominance that made people shudder.
Gladys sat up in shock directly. “Zachary!
“Why are you here?
“Where am I?”
She was so shocked.
Zachary looked at her coldly. He didn’t bother to talk to cheap women.
“Get lost.”
He was cold and brief.
Gladys trembled, bewildered by his intense anger, unable to comprehend the reason behind it.
She recollected fleeing the club to escape Colin and subsequently getting struck by a car. However, everything that occurred afterward was a blur in her memory. She couldn’t fathom why he wore such a stern expression.

Gladys thought, “Get lost? I don’t want to stay with you!”
She snorted.
She got up, lifted the quilt, and was ready to go.
However, just as she stood up, an acute pain came from her knees.
“Ah!”
Her body went weak, and she fell into his arm as she lost her balance. By instinct, she raised her hands to hold onto his big figure tightly.

Suddenly, her soft body was in his arms.
Her slim and long arms were around him. She was in good shape, and their bodies touched closely. His broad chest supported her.
Their position was so ambiguous!
Zachary stiffened at once.
Surprisingly, he found that he didn’t actually dislike her and even appreciated the feel of her soft body and her fragrance.
Despite this realization, Zachary was reluctant to acknowledge it. Consequently, he quelled the passion within him and redirected his cold gaze toward her.
“That’s how you seduce men? In a stupid way?”
