The sudden news felt like an unexpected bombshell to Calista. It was around the middle of the
month, and she couldn’t come up with three million dollars in just half a month. Lucian was doing
this on purpose!
She let out a frustrated laugh. “What if I can’t pay it back on time?”

Calista remained silent. Timothy conveyed Lucian’s message to her. After the call ended, she
dialed Lucian’s number to learn about his plans.

Calista ground her teeth out of frustration. She knew this could be a serious matter. She looked at
the calendar worriedly. Suddenly, she noticed a particular date. Calista’s mind started to race.
The next day, she arranged to meet Yara for a shopping spree at a specific destination. It was a

Yara hadn’t even finished her sentence when a hand reached over and snatched the evening gown
from her.
“Could you please wrap this up for me?” The woman requested.
“Hey! We had our eye on this dress. What’s wrong with you?” Yara began to say. She looked at the
woman who snatched the dress and began to laugh.
“No wonder. The homewrecker is here. You’re used to stealing, aren’t you?”
Queenie was the one taking the dress, with Lily standing beside her. They were inseparable from
each other.
“Ms. Quinn, I suggest you speak carefully. I can sue you for defamation.” Lily shot a disdainful look
at Yara. Her expression radiated arrogance. “You haven’t paid for it, so it’s not stealing from you.
But now that I’ve bought it, it’s mine.”

Calista was about to speak when Yara abruptly snatched the dress and handed it to the shop
