Chapter 31 She Looks So Sweet
Rose walked fast and steadily. But only she knew that her body and heart were burning.
Rose held her wrist. The electroshock wristband disguised as a bracelet was still burning.
But it was out of power.
Just now, when Hector tried to hold Rose, Rose directly raised her hand and hit Hector with her electroshock wristband.
Hector screamed in pain, and his brain was buzzing.
His face would be fine. However, the shock mark on his forehead wouldn’t completely fade for at least a week or two.
It was no good news for a man whose career relied on his face.
Though she had stayed in Imperial Garden for seven years, Rose wasn’t totally artless.
Although someone doted on her, without her parents’ protection, Rose apparently couldn’t grow up lightheartedly.
Because of a sense of uncertainty about her future and crisis awareness, Rose couldn’t relax.
During these three days, Rose had done a lot of work to prepare for the interview.
It included Hector’s history, his coworkers, and less obvious details in
his life.
On the surface, Hector’s talent agency didn’t have much resources in the show business.
But from one of her sources, Rose knew one piece of reliable news.
Thanks to his performance after he became famous, Hector got some shares of his agency.
In return, he might have to bet on behalf of the company against Sunny Summer Entertainment.
Sunny Summer Entertainment belonged to Glory Holdings of the Stewart family. The Stewart family especially built that entertainment company for Lillian.
Røse didn’t know if there was a betting agreement between Hector’s agency and Sunny Summer Entertainment.
But she was alert.
It seemed like a super good chance for Rose to interview Hector. But it might be a trap set up by Lillian.

Rose’s guess was right.
Rose had just arrived when she was ordered to turn off her phone and recording pen.
Then, she had to stay in a closed room for more than ten minutes, where there was a lot of medicine in the air.
Flourish Media didn’t think Rose deserved her position. They thought Rose was new and stu pid.

As Darrin said, Rose was keen, wary, observant, and brave.
When she raised her hand to feel the air from the air conditioner, Rose found a small piece of paste in the air outlet.
The paste was white and unimpressive. It was like a natural part of the
air outlet.
But Rose immediately realized something. Some special medicine could be made solid and stuck to the outlet. Exposed to the air, the medicine would be volatilized and carried away by wind.
The temperature indicated by the air conditioner confirmed Rose’s conjecture.
And it indirectly confirmed her early guess too.
Hector seemed to be innocent. But in fact, he was with the bad rich people.
Hector wasn’t a natural star. Instead, rich people used him to fool the audience.

On the street, Rose clasped her collar with her hands trembling.
In people’s eyes, Hector was lucky, natural, and diligent.
Once his true features were exposed, Hector would lose his fans and resources, his investors would lose their money, and he would fail in his betting agreement with Sunny Summer Entertainment.
Lillian arranged for Hector to trick Rose into coming here. Lillian must have known that Rose would figure out the truth.

As long as something happened between Rose and Hector, Lillian could use it to threaten Rose and let Rose do anything.
Then, Rose could only bear their insult and hide the truth from them.
Lillian wanted to ruin Rose.
She wanted to ruin Rose’s reputation, career, and life.
And before that, Lillian might also threaten Rose and make good use of her.
If she hadn’t noticed Lillian’s plan, Rose would be in danger.

Rose felt so hot and weak.
Rose raised her head. With the sun shining brightly overhead, she retreated to the back of an office building.
There was a fountain. Water splashed, making Rose’s skin cool.
When she realized that it was a trap, Rose had taken the antidote. It helped her to be rational.
But the medicated air Rose had breathed in earlier made her suffer.
Rose leaned weakly against the brick wall next to the fountain.
The wall was cool, making Rose feel less hot.
Rose sighed, feeling better.
But the next second, her eyes were wide open.
Judson stood in front of Rose silently.
Rose trembled in shock, and her heart beat fast.
For a moment, Rose stared at Judson dumbly. She couldn’t react and thought that it was her illusion.
But soon, Rose knew it wasn’t her illusion.
Thanks to the antidote, though suffering, Rose was still sober.
She laughed frivolously and boldly, “Did Lillian let you come over?”
It made sense.
Lillian did so much to set Rose up, even though it might expose Hector’s background. Rose now knew what Lillian’s goal was.
Lillian didn’t believe that Rose would leave Judson and give up the Roach family’s glory.
Lillian wanted Judson to see Rose and Hector sleeping together, so Judson wouldn’t be with Rose anymore.
Though he didn’t like Rose, Judson was a dominant man and saw Rose as his woman.
It was okay that Judson ignored and abandoned Rose, but Judson wouldn’t accept the thing that Rose betrayed him.
Rose was like Judson’s doll. She couldn’t have her own opinions.
If he saw Rose with Hector, Judson would probably destroy Rose like a doll.
“What happened? Which man did this to you?” Judson didn’t answer Rose’s question. Instead, he approached Rose, grabbed her arm with
one hand, and dragged her to him. “You look…”
Rose looked very uncollected.
Judson didn’t finish his words. He gazed at Rose gloomily. They were very close. Rose was flushed, and her lips were red. Rose tried to stay sober, but her eyes were already watery.
Judson swallowed hard.
He watched Rose biting her own lip.
Rose’s lower lip turned red after being bitten. Judson felt that the corner of her mouth was tempting him.
Røse looked at Judson with cold eyes. But there was fire in her eyes. It was burning and set Judson’s eyes alight too.
Judson clenched Rose’s hands harder.
Judson thought, “She looks so sweet.”
Rose lost her balance and fell into Judson’s arms weakly. Her head was on Judson’s shoulder. They looked so intimate.
At that moment, Judson heard a boom in his mind.
Rose was like a ball of flaming fire, burning herself and him too.
“I…” Rose wanted to explain and struggle.
But her body was out of her control.
Besides, the look in Judson’s eyes changed, though Rose only said one word.
Rose’s voice was so tempting.
Rose had never talked like that in front of Judson before. Her voice
was enchanting and dangerous. Once someone was tempted, he could never resist it.
Judson reached out one arm and held Rose’s waist, so Rose could lean against his chest.
They were so close. Judson gazed at Rose with deep and enchanting
eyes.
Rose knew Judson so well.
With one look and one movement, she could tell what Judson wanted.
But Judson gritted his teeth, held his desire back, and talked meanly.
“Look at yourself. Couldn’t the man satisfy you?”
Rose giggled. Her voice was light, and her expression was attractive.
Though Judson didn’t show it, Rose knew he wanted it too.
But Judson blamed it on Rose.
Rose thought, “He has always been like this since before.”
Back then, Rose was happy to be with Judson, but Judson made the first move.
Judson lied that he would give Rose a special birthday gift, and he had her.
Now, Judson blamed Rose for being cun ning and seducing him.
“Let go of me.” Rose tried to push Judson back, but her body was as soft as water in the fountain.
“Are you sure?” Judson held Rose tighter. Rose was almost buried in
his chest. “Where do you want to go? Are you going to disgrace
yourself and my family?”
