Chapter 27 Let’s Leave Together
The Roawards Group proposed to have a negotiation.
Flourish Media didn’t want to go to court for this matter. They thought it would be best to settle out of court.
Keenan and his legal team came. Flourish Media thought they would make things difficult. Unexpectedly, they demanded an exorbitant price.
Only Rose knew that Keenan had ulterior motives.
At first, they bluffed and deliberately exaggerated the facts. Then they could get what they wanted when the alternative plan was proposed later on.
Rose sneered.
Judson always let others make a choice, didn’t he?
“You spread rumors about the relationship between Mr. Roach and Ms. Stewart, which made Mr. Roach furious. However, he didn’t want to turn you into his enemy, so he thoughtfully proposed an alternative plan.”
Keenan looked at Rose.
“Ms. Edwards, Mr. Roach said that if you are willing to publicly apologize to him and Ms. Stewart, admit that you fabricated facts and maliciously slandered them, and promise to never engage in any profession related to news or media again, then he can let you go.”
Keenan raised his eyebrows at Rose and continued, “You can write a
letter of apology or make a video or recording.
“By the way, Mr. Roach was so angry that he fell ill. Yesterday, he went to the hospital for treatment. If you resign from Flourish Media today and go to apologize to Mr. Roach at the hospital, we will withdraw the lawsuit as if nothing had happened.”
Keenan finished his words.
The meeting room was quiet.
The members of the Law Department of Flourish Media felt a bit confused.
“Do you mean either Ms. Edwards takes on all the responsibility alone, or/we pay an indemnity, make an apology, and behave ourselves?”
The chief lawyer of Flourish Media made a summary.
Keenan did not answer but looked at Rose aggressively. “Ms. Edwards, what do you think?”
He changed the way he addressed Rose.
Rose knew what Keenan meant.
According to Judson, Rose had to leave Flourish Media and admit her mistake. Otherwise, Flourish Media might suffer the same as five years
ago.
The Roawards Group would suppress it for a second time.
The members of the Law Department of Flourish Media felt
humiliated. The big Flourish Media suffered many humiliations like Rose, who was just an unknown reporter.
Judson was narrow-minded.
He wanted to destroy Rose because of her article.
Surely, Judson’s relationship with Lillian was private.
But Lillian was a public figure. As a star, she exposed herself to gain attention and value, so in a sense, she had no privacy.
“I can leave Flourish Media, and I will no longer work as a reporter.”
Rose raised her head slightly and looked Keenan in the eye.
“However, I won’t apologize or admit that I fabricated facts. Mr. Bright, please tell Judson that if he wants to sue me, do it as soon as possible. And… dress up in court.”
Keenan was not very surprised.
It was the first time he had seen Rose like this.
But since Judson let him take over this matter from Isidro, he had been prepared.
It had to be said that Isidro couldn’t handle this.
If Isidro had come today, he would have sobbed and tried to persuade Rose to go back to please Judson.
Then, the relationship that Judson least wanted to expose would be known to all, and his reputation would be ruined.
“Okay.” Keenan stood up. He had been working for Judson for years. He could see the coldness in Rose’s eyes.
Judson was involved and couldn’t see clearly.
But Keenan, as an outsider, could see through it all.
Rose was determined to leave Judson.
“I will tell Mr. Roach about this.” Keenan smiled at Rose. “But I hope you will not regret it in the future.”
The Roawards Group’s large legal team left in less than an hour.
The members of the Law Department of Flourish Media were bewildered.

It was supposed to be a confrontation between the two legal teams, but why did they feel that they were not important?
Rose walked out of the Law Department and saw Darrin, who had been waiting outside.
There’s no need to resign,” Darrin said.
He watched the negotiation from a distance.
It seemed to be a negotiation, but in fact, it was an excuse to threaten Rose again.
“It may be a bit difficult later.” Darrin and Rose slowly walked along the long corridor of Flourish Media. “But Rose, listen…”
He stood still and turned to Rose. “Don’t beg or bow to him again. If you can’t stay here…”
Darrin paused.
“That won’t happen…” Rose seemed to feel something and lowered her eyes. “I have to go.”
Darrin watched Rose’s receding figure and whispered what he forcefully swallowed back, “I’ll take you out of here…
“Rose, let’s leave together.”

Rose returned to the office and found that her colleagues were talking about her.
“Rose, good news!” Lakisha opened her arms. “You know what? Just now Hector’s agent called and asked you to have a personal interview with him.”
Hector was the most popular star recently. He was 6 feet tall with long legs. His fans proudly said that he was more handsome than CG models.
His film became a hit this year, and he had endorsements for luxury brands, luxury cars, and national products. He was secretly hailed as a cash cow by sponsors…. Many magazines and reporters wanted to interview him.
But due to his busy schedule, Hector had not yet explicitly accepted any invitations from any reporters before.
“We have been blessed with good fortune following the disaster.” Lakisha forcefully gave Rose a lollipop. “Judson’s lawsuit against you has made you famous, for surely such a positive outcome would not have occurred otherwise.”
Besides reporters from different companies, those in Flourish Media also vied for Hector’s first in-depth interview.
Several teams had tried every means before.
No one expected such a good thing would happen to the newcomer Rose.
The last time she was sent to interview Lillian, her colleagues wished
her good luck.
But now, many of them had become hostile to her.
When there were no interests involved, they were on good terms with
each other.
But when interests were involved, they would become competitors.
“Filming will be arranged first. Before you meet Hector, you need to know him well and decide the theme of your interview,” Lakisha suggested. “You majored in this. You should know what to do, right?”
Rose/kept Lakisha’s advice in mind.
At the end of the day, Tommie, who was on the same team as Rose, stopped her and said mysteriously, “Rose, why did the legal team from the Roawards Group come today?”
