Bogus Billionaire by Shining Riviera Chapter 785

Chapter 785 Caroline stared back at Eddy, her pretty eyes sparkling just like the stars at night. Frowning, Eddy made up his mind and was determined to selfishly keep this beautiful light of hers all to himself. “Yes, I did,” he said. “Do you like it?” “Did you come up with this idea? You’re so […]

Chapter 783 The phone’s ring scared Eddy half to death. He took a furtive glance at the screen to see that the caller was none other than Avery. He quickly answered the call and vented all his anger on her by lashing out at her. “Didn’t you say that Caroline will definitely marry me after

But the guilt Eddy felt completely vanished when he remembered that Kirk married Caroline and lied to him. Caroline was supposed to marry Eddy from the very beginning. His attitude toward Kirk turned cold when he was reminded of this. Kirk had only just snapped out of his daze and started walking toward the gates. Staring at Eddy through the gates, he enunciated each word as he said, “I dare you to repeat what you just said.” Despite the iron gates that separated them, Eddy’s still heart skipped a beat when Kirk spoke. “I said… Caroline and I-” Eddy paled at the sound as Kirkpunched the gate with such force that the iron bars became dented. He didn’t have the guts to speak clearly now. All he did was mumble incoherently. “Why don’t you repeat what you said?” Kirk roared at him like an angered beast, his eyes locked on Eddy. Needless to say, Eddy lost the courage to continue speaking. Looking at the dent in the gates, he feared that his fate would somehow become just like the gate’s. Just then, a crisp voice came from the second floor. “Eddy, what’s going on down there? Did you break something?” It was Caroline. Hastily, Eddy turned to say, “It’s nothing. Nothing happened. Don’t come down yet.” But he was too late because Caroline was already walking down the stairs with her jacket on. Seeing that nothing had happened in the courtyard, she glanced at Eddy, puzzled. “What was that sound just now? It was so loud,” she said. Eddy was confused. He followed her gaze only to find out that Kirk, who had been standing by the gates just a moment ago, was nowhere to be seen. Realization dawned on Eddy when he recalled how Caroline had reacted when he had tried to bring up  the past. A small smile hung on his lips. ‘It’s nothing at all. Nothing’s wrong. You should go upstairs and rest.” “Are you sure?” Caroline noticed the dent in the gates. “Why is the gate dented? It looks like some kind of animal did this.” “Nah. A helpless and incompetent fool did that,” said Eddy. “Hurry and head upstairs. I’ll have someone come and fix this.” “Okay then.” Taking one last glance at the gate, Caroline felt a strange feeling feeling in her as if she had seen this before. However, she couldn’t remember where she had seen it before, no matter how hard she tried to remember. Her head started throbbing when she tried to recall the past, so she quickly stopped thinking about it. After she left, Eddy walked up to the gate and glanced around. Kirk had left indeed. Scoffing, Eddy said, “Uncle Kirk can’t even see Caroline now, so how is she going to remember him?” He had just finished talking when a hand shot out from the darkness, putting him in a chokehold and suffocating him.

Chapter 781  A shadow fell across Eddy’s face after he left Caroline’s room. Sure enough, it was the same as before. She resisted him from the bottom of her heart. ́Otherwise, she would have happily agreed to marry him since she had forgotten Kirk. Uncle Kirk. Eddy couldn’t stop himself from clenching his fists at the thought of him. Caroline had forgotten all about him. Yet … Eddy raised his fist and was about to punch a hole in the wall when he spotted a car parked on the ground floor. The Morrisons had dozens of luxury cars. Naturally, he couldn’t recognize all of them, but this one right there… they definitely didn’t own a car like this. The corners of Eddy’s mouth tilted upward in a smile, and he gradually made his way downstairs to the car. When he reached the car, he saw the person inside. It was Kirk, just as he had expected. “Uncle Kirk!” chirped Eddy as he rapped on the car window. The window rolled down, and he saw Kirk’s bleak face staring back at him. It was obvious from the bags under Kirk’s eyes that he hadn’t rested well for a couple of days. It was Eddy’s first time seeing such a dejected and dispirited side of Kirk. For some reason, a wave of guilt washed over him. It was as if he had stolen a beloved item of Kirk’s. Kirk took a glance at him and continued downing a bottle of wine, his eyes cold. Eddy watched him gulp down a mouthful of the drink and said, “Uncle Kirk, don’t be so upset. Things have only returned to how they were supposed to be now.” He added, “Caroline’s been my fiancée since the beginning-”  He had barely finished his sentence when Kirk yanked his necktie. The force behind it was so immense that Eddy, who hadn’t anticipated the sudden move, stumbled forward, his face just inches/away from Kirk’s. Staring at Kirk’s side profile from such a close distance, Eddy subconsciously held his breath in fear. Uncle Kirk-”

The Camron family instantly panicked as soon as Scott said those words. They had done nothing wrong but found themselves victims of this mess. “Mr. Mosey! Despite his smile, Scott looked far from trustworthy.. “What does Mr. Mosey want me to do?” Lana suddenly felt uneasy. “Simple. Tomorrow, find an excuse to invite Dustin for dinner.
