Chapter 16 I’m Not a Toy  Before Rose could walk out of the room, Judson took out his phone.  “Isidro, come upstairs and call the police. There is a thief,” he ordered.  Maria’s face changed.  Her legs went weak, and she knelt. “Mr. Roach, I didn’t…”  “Talk to the police.” Judson was not loud. But he shut Maria up. “You seem to have done this a lot.”  Isidro ran over. “Mr. Roach, the police will come soon…”  Judson said, “Investigate her and everyone here to see if things like this happened before. I need workers, not thieves.”  Maria was on the ground. ‘Isidro waved his hand, and a bodyguard pulled Maria away.  Judson turned around and looked at Rose, his tone cold. “Satisfied?”  Rose was surprised and almost laughed out.  She smiled, “You are dealing with your maid. It has nothing to do with me. As long as you feel happy, my feelings don’t matter.”  Isidro widened his eyes at once.  He couldn’t believe his ears.  Was she the obedient woman in front of Judson?  Judson frowned with impatience. “What’s wrong with you? Why are  you talking like this?”  He stepped forward to grab her.  Somehow, he felt that Rose was not just mad.  She was abnormal.  19  Even though he didn’t care much about her, he could tell that she was abnormal.  But he didn’t know why and was not patient enough.  Judson pulled her to himself, causing her shoulder to hit his chest. “Alright. It is late.”  Usually, she could understand him as long as he said that.  It was late…  She should know what he meant.  Although she was slow in many things, he was satisfied with their sex.  However, Rose shook off his hand and looked at him coldly. “You are not deaf and blind, right? Didn’t you hear Maria?”  When Maria mocked her, the water stopped running in the bathroom.  Judson must have known how Maria humiliated her.  Otherwise, he wouldn’t have punished her so briefly.  Although he didn’t love Rose, he was not that bad. But Rose was not grateful.  She wouldn’t be grateful to him.  She deserved to be treated fairly.  In the past, Judson had done many unfair things to her. But she had never been mad at him.  Now, he just did a small thing for her. Why should she be grateful just for that?  “What do you want then?” Judson approached her with cold eyes. “Do you want to kill her for a necklace?”  Wasn’t it enough to call the police for an investigation?  How could she be so vicious?  “Rose, don’t push your luck!”  www  Rose looked at him as if she hadn’t known him. For the first time, she realized their difference in thinking.  There was a huge gap. But she dreamed of marrying him!  Rose felt it was ridiculous.  She opened her mouth. Finally, her stronger dignity surpassed her declining shame.  She chuckled, “Mr. Roach, I’m not your sex partner.”  They broke up.  He gave her the option.  Judson frowned heavily. “You can’t take it just because of a maid’s words? Aren’t you strong in mind? What? You suddenly want dignity after so many years?”  […]

Chapter 15 Abandoned  Enduring the sadness, Rose said coolly, “You are generous. Some pieces of jewelry in the box are expensive. If you…give them to Ms. Stewart, she will be happy…”  He should not have smashed them.  “You think she will take your trash?” Judson sneered mockingly, “You think she likes jewelry as you do?”  Was Lillian as vain and insincere as Rose?  Rose was snobbish and greedy. But she pretended to be kind, low–key, and noble.  Rose claimed that Judson was not in the place to mention her parents.  So he decided to target Rose.  “I understand that you feel insecure. But we’ve offered you a good life. Rose, why are you so greedy?”  He glanced at the gifts on the ground more ironically. “You cherished these cheap craps, but now, you want to return them. Don’t you feel bad about it?”  Judson stood up, pulled his collar, and walked to the bathroom. “You can throw them away if you don’t want them. Don’t ruin my mood!”  Rose looked at the gifts on the ground with cool eyes.  In fact, not everything here was expensive.  He gave her some fancy bracelets. But he also gave her the medal he  won and his limited–edition cards…  It made sense to call them “craps“.  But he said she was greedy…  If he meant that she couldn’t get enough of his concern, she was indeed greedy.  She was very greedy then.  Maybe she changed her mind or got used to it.  Rose didn’t feel much pain in the face of Judson’s words.  She planned to go.  But Judson had someone clean the room.  Seeing the jewelry on the ground, a middle–aged maid blinked her  eves.  She casually put everything in the trash can and smiled craftily at Rose.  “Ms. Edwards, don’t be so sad. Only an innocent girl like you would fall for the trap of engagement. Everyone here knows you are just a sex partner. You overestimate yourself… In my opinion, you should accept your fate. You should go back to your place. How can you change your destiny by doing so?”  The maid was as terrible as her master.  Rose pondered.  The maid’s disdain was the same as Judson’s.  A bang sounded….  The door to the bathroom was opened.  Judson was wearing a bathrobe. His hair was wet. And he looked around gloomily.  The maid bent hurriedly, pretending to be respectful.  Rose didn’t think she should stay here anymore. She didn’t leave at once because she worried that the maid might slander her.  There were valuable things in the box. She didn’t want to be entangled with Judson, so it was better to end this in private.  She stood up.  However, Judson said coldly, “Stop.”  Rose paused, noticing the maid’s stiff back.  “Take them out,” said Judson.  His voice sounded scary. But Rose was sure that he was not talking to her.  The maid turned around slowly with a flattering smile. She bent and raised the trash can, “Mr. Roach, Ms. Edwards asked me to throw them away…”  Judson’s eyes turned cold.  “Do you want to take out the things in your pocket on your own or do you need some help?”  The maid kneeled at once.  “Ms. Edwards, I…” She shook and stammered. With a shaking hand, she took out a necklace from her pocket. “Ms. Edwards…didn’t want  this and gave it to me…”  She turned to Rose and said faster, “Ms. Edwards, you are nice and generous. I broke the rules and shouldn’t have taken this.”  She threw the necklace at Rose as if it was a hot potato. “Please forgive me. I am just a nobody. Don’t let Mr. Roach get me wrong!” 

Chapter 14 Her Treasure  Rose pushed back the coat at once into Judson’s hand.  She smiled lightly, “Thank you, but you should save it for Ms.  Stewart.”  Judson’s face turned cold. He gnashed his teeth and said in a low voice, “Rose, you’d better not go too far…”  Rose chuckled, “No. I can’t take your kindness.”  She felt she was stupid before because she even took his harmful kindness.  She took the pain as evidence of his love.  But when Rose traced back to the past, she found nothing but ugly memories. It was worthless and timeworn.  “Jenifer.” Rose didn’t want to be entangled with Judson. “Just have a good rest. Don’t worry. I am busy, so I can’t visit you every day.”  Jenifer was young but considerate. Rose worried that Jenifer would overthink it. It would be bad for her recovery.  “But…” Rose touched Jenifer’s hat. Because of chemotherapy, Jenifer lost her hair. “Jenifer, don’t worry. Although I can’t stay by your side all the time, I won’t let anything bad happen. In the worst case…”  She said meaningfully, “Some people are cowards. But you are brave, right?”  After leaving the ward, Lillian cried to Judson, “Judson, I tried to find  good doctors for Jenifer, but Rose misunderstood me. It’s OK that she hit me. But she even mocked me in front of Jenifer… I know I should be generous. But I feel so sad…”  Rose was implicit, but people were not idiots.  Apparently, Rose meant that she would take revenge if anything bad happened to Jenifer.  Judson looked at Rose gloomily. “Come back with me.”  He pinched her arm and pulled her.  Rose stepped back, and Darrin wanted to stop him too.  But Judson looked back. “Don’t you care about your cousin’s life the most? Rose, I am wondering who is the coward!”  Rose bit her lips and shook her head at Darrin.  It had been a mess. She didn’t want to make things worse.  Anyway, she had something to discuss with Judson. So she could take the chance to do it.  After returning to the Imperial Garden, under the housekeeper and servants‘ curious gazes, Judson pulled Rose to the second floor. He locked the door.  “Take off your clothes.”  He was cold.  Rose paused.  He lost his patience and tore her clothes.  The room was bright. Her skin was exposed.  Rose stretched out to cover her body subconsciously, but Judson pulled her hands away. He stared coldly at the bruises on her collarbone and shoulders. There were also scars on her waist.  “How did you get hurt?”  Rose felt less nervous.  She looked away casually. “I fell by accident.”  She was cool. But she remembered the scraping of the tires from that night.  Judson sneered ironically, “Who knows if you got hurt in an accident or sex?”  The bruises seemed to be caused by old injuries. Maybe she got hurt when she followed him secretly days ago.  She asked for it!  Rose’s shoulders shook, but she smiled.  “Why are you smiling?” Judson frowned.  He took a step forward and made her look at him by pinching her chin and raising her face. “Am I right?”  He gritted his teeth with cold eyes. “Who is it? Your lover, Darrin Carroll? Or other men?”  As he said, he put his palm down to grab her waist.  Rose struggled, only to be held on to harder. The pain made her gasp and shed tears. Her waist was in the worst condition.  Judson’s tone was as gloomy as his eyes. “What? You let other men  touch you but not me?”  Rose looked down and held back her tears out of pain. Then she smiled ironically.  “Mr. Roach, wait. I have something for you.”  Her sudden respect drew a distance between them.  Judson frowned and wanted to say something when there were knocks on the door.  Rose took the chance to hide in the dressing room, where she got changed and covered her body.  When she came out, she saw Judson on the sofa with something in his hand. 

Chapter 13 Crash His Rationality  Judson froze.  How long had it been since he last saw Rose cry?  No…  Rose never cried when faced with him.  He had most seen her red and swollen eyes.  Once, he thought that she was reserved, so she felt shy when crying in front of others.  Later, he felt that she was cunning, so she misled others, letting others think of her as a reserved woman so as to win sympathy.  But for the first time, he saw her tears.  Her tears were like crystals. Sad but sharp. Her hatred and pain could be seen in her tears.  Judson wanted to block his eyes when feeling her tense emotions.  “You…”  As soon as he said this, Rose was brought away from him.  “Judson, how can you bully a woman? Is that all you can do?”  Darrin stood between them.  This was also the first time for him to see Rose’s tears.  Seven years ago, Rose had her abdomen pierced by a steel tube. But in order to keep evidence, she never made a sound…  At this time, there was a drop of tears on her face.  The drop of tears crashed Darrin’s rationality and endurance.  He bent over and picked Rose’s phone up from the ground. He put the phone in her hands and suddenly turned his hand to grab her wrist.  “Go with me!”  Darrin wanted to pull Rose out of the ward.  Judson’s pupils shrank.  He stepped forward to grab Darrin’s collar, pulling Darrin backward. Then he swung his fist over.  “No!” Rose cried in shock.  Darrin and Judson had fought once. Darrin was no match for Judson at all.  Her sudden cry made Judson stop. Judson’s fist was right in front of Darrin’s face. Judson mocked Rose with a sneer, “Are you worried about him?”  Rose froze. Then she returned to being calm.  “Yes.” She slightly nodded and admitted it. “Darrin cares about me. And I’m worried about him.”  The fire of anger lit up in Judson’s originally cold eyes. Anger filled his face.  Before he continued to attack, Darrin’s fist hit toward him.  Judson froze. Then he avoided the fist out of instinct.  But Darrin’s fist still brushed across Judson’s face.  It caused only a little pain on Judson’s face. But Judson got angry.  He grabbed Darrin and attacked again.  This time, he didn’t hesitate. He used all his strength.  Darrin staggered backward for a few steps with the punch. He happened to stand by Lillian’s side.  Darrin stood up, wiped the blood beside his mouth, and was about to fight back. However, Lillian suddenly hugged him from behind. Her hands reached from down his arms to his front, controlling his body firmly  “Mr. Carroll, don’t do this.” Although she said this, she was actually helping Judson control Darrin. “Don’t make things big.”  Darrin hesitated for a while and failed to get rid of Lillian. Judson’s second punch had arrived.  “Judson!” Rose rushed forward to grab his waist and held him behind. “Don’t fight! How can you hit him?”  Darrin had gotten rid of Lillian. Taking the chance that Judson was held back by Rose, he returned the punch Judson gave him just now back to Judson.  The punch made Judson fall out of Rose’s arms.  “Rose!” Lillian shouted with shock. Her words were really biased. “How can you help Mr. Carroll? You held Judson back so that Mr. Carroll could hit him!”  The two men were fighting.  Lillian wanted to repeat her trick just now again and control Darrin. But Rose found out her intention. Rose grabbed Lillian’s hair and pulled Lillian to the side.  Lillian tilted her head, shouted out loudly, and wanted to grab Rose’s hair. But she was slapped by Rose, feeling dazed.  “Where is my brooch?” Rose couldn’t stop the two men from fighting. She lowered her head to ask Lillian, “I told you. If you refuse to give it to me, I will slap you every time I see you.”  Lillian waved her hands and refused to answer the question. Rose slapped her again. “Where is my brooch?” 

Chapter 12 Don’t Mention Them  Rose asked for leave and rushed to the hospital. It was already twilight.  Lillian was the only one in Jenifer’s ward.  Rose approached Lillian and questioned her, “Ms. Stewart, what did you do to Jenifer?”  “What did I do?” Lillian smiled strangely.  “Rose, how could you ask me? I kindly told you about my relationship with Judson, but you revealed it to the media. How can you do that to me? You should do some good deeds for Jenifer’s sake.”  Lillian wanted to show off in front of Rose, but she didn’t expect Rose to tell the media.  Lillian was humiliated in front of Judson.  Now, Lillian had to deny their love affair and dispel rumors about that recording.  She did it to make a good impression on Judson.  Lillian knew that her plan of revealing their relationship failed…  Lillian hated Rose’s guts. She humiliated Rose with the most vicious words in the world.  However, Rose managed to restrain her anger.  Lillian liked Judson, so she was jealous of Rose. Over the years, Lillian had done many disgusting things.  Rose focused on her question. “Where is Jenifer?”  “Where is Jenifer?” Lillian smiled again in a strange way. She leaned towards the window with her head stretched out. Then Lillian looked downstairs with strong implication.  “Jenifer heard that her doctor left the country and no one could cure her. She also heard you broke up with Judson. She knew you no longer had money to pay her treatment fee, and she was so sad…”  Rose’s mind went blank, and she ran to the window subconsciously.  It was dark outside.  There was a green lawn downstairs, which could be seen clearly under the street lamps. No one was there.  Rose realized that she had been taken in by Lillian.  Lillian knew suicide would lead to Rose’s trauma stress.  Lillian had been giving Rose psychological hints intentionally since she called Rose over.  She approached Rose from behind.  Lillian grabbed Rose’s shoulder and pushed her downstairs!  “Rose, go to hell!” Lillian looked ferocious. “Why didn’t you die with your mother?”  However, Rose was prepared.  Rose turned one side of her shoulder and twisted Lillian’s arm with one hand. She pushed Rose and reversed their positions in an instant.  Rose grabbed Lillian’s neck and pressed her upper body out of the  window.  “You want me to die?” She clung to Lillian, who was struggling in panic. Rose would not let Lillian escape.  Rose looked calm, as if she never misunderstood that Jenifer had jumped off the building. “You want to become Judson’s wife so desperately?”  Lillian was scared to tears. “Rose, Rose, I’m just joking with you. Can you let me go? I’m a little afraid of heights…”  “Are you?” Rose smiled mockingly. “You pushed me so hard. I thought you enjoyed it.”  Lillian never expected that Rose would see through her trick.  Lillian pretended to cry, “Rose, I was wrong, I was really wrong… I didn’t want to take Judson away from you, will you let me go? Don’t be angry, I will never talk to Judson again…”  Rose was trying to scare Lillian again. Suddenly, Someone grabbed her from behind.  She was dragged back by someone.  She was dragged so hard that she stepped back and fell to the ground. Her body hit the hospital bed.  Rose looked up. Judson had helped Lillian stand up.  He was very rude when dragging Rose, but now he was careful, gentle, and considerate in front of Lillian. “Lillian, are you injured?”  Lillian jumped into Judson’s arms, shook with fear, and cried out loud, “Judson, I am so scared, I thought I would die…”  Judson let Lillian hide behind him and looked coldly at Rose. Rose was sitting on the ground in a mess. Judson’s face darkened.  “How dare you?”  Judson wondered, “If I didn’t come in time, would you kill Lillian?”  Lillian shrunk and grabbed Judson’s arm. “Judson, don’t blame Rose. It’s my fault. I invited experts to treat Jenifer, but I didn’t inform Rose. Rose misunderstood that I hurt Jenifer, so…”  Lillian cried very sadly. “These experts were very busy. It was very hard to invite them… I’m sorry, I should have told you…”  Rose’s eyes met Judson’s icy gaze. 

Chapter 11 Tell That Woman to Come Back Judson went back to Imperial Garden and saw the empty room. His face was extremely cold. He cracked open the wardrobe. Her beautiful clothes were all there, not missing a single. Judson tilted his head and talked to Isidro. “I’ll give you half a day to tell

Chapter 10 Continue to Force Him  The piercing sound of the alarm rang beside the pillow.  Judson raised his hand and fumbled around the bedside table, but he couldn’t find the familiar glass.  Still in a daze, he mumbled, “Rose…  As soon as the words came out, Judson suddenly woke up..  Judson opened his eyes, his gaze gradually becoming clear. He remembered the name he unconsciously shouted just now, and his eyes instantly darkened.  The phone call continued to ring persistently.  However, Judson’s gaze fell on the empty bedside table.  After so many years, he had grown accustomed to it.  No matter when he woke up, there would always be a glass of purified water by the bedside.  The water wouldn’t be too cold or too hot, usually at a pleasant. temperature. Sometimes, it carried a hint of lemon fragrance.  Phone calls often woke Judson up, so he needed to moisten his throat before answering.  A glass of water had always been there.  But today, Judson couldn’t find it…  He would encounter this situation when he was away on business, but  that was because Rose wasn’t by his side.  Last night, Judson clearly remembered that Rose was sitting on the sofa in the living room when he fell asleep.  Having come back to his senses, Judson answered the phone with an uncommonly hoarse voice. “What’s the matter?”  It was Isidro calling.  “Mr. Roach, Flourish Media has released new evidence, a recording of Ms. Stewart’s phone call. She confessed… about your relationship.”  Judson said that if there was anything from Flourish Media, no matter what time it was, he must be notified first.  Isidro felt that Flourish Media must have gone crazy.  Judson had already sent legal letters. Regardless of the authenticity of the relationship, he made it clear that he didn’t want to be gossiped about.  Normal media, at the very least, would avoid causing trouble, let alone make things worse.  But Flourish Media seemed stubborn and released the follow–up evidence, even in the form of a phone recording.  This wasn’t just a lack of respect for Judson. It was practically slapping him in the face!  After pondering for a few seconds, Judson frowned and said, “Ask Lillian what’s going on.”  “Alright.”  “By the way, the lawyers can move forward with the next step.”  Flourish Media’s intentions were clear. They wanted to go to court with Judson.  Judson would drag them down along with the journalist who wrote that article and leave them penniless!  After coming out of the bathroom, Judson poured himself a glass of iced water and stood by the window.  Under golden sunlight, his pupils were amber, and the icy water flowed down his throat.  Thinking about what Rose said last night, Judson couldn’t help but  sneer.  Rose refused to pretend anymore, which was just perfect.  For so many years, except for him, no one had witnessed her calculating and cold–blooded side.  The Roach family had all been fooled by Rose, thinking she was well- behaved, gentle, and sensible. Every time something happened between Rose and Judson, they would put the blame on him.  Little did they know that Rose had the ability to disguise herself and manipulate her way to advantage and avoid harm.  If Rose wanted to reveal her true nature, then Judson would let everyone see it. It wasn’t that Judson didn’t understand the principle of repaying kindness, but Rose was insatiable and malicious, not deserving his gratitude!  Judson came downstairs to the hotel lobby. His attention was involuntarily drawn to a spot of pure white next to him.  Judson turned his head and saw the luxury brand store on the first floor of Carls Hotel, where the model in the window was dressed in a  stunning white gown.  “Mr. Roach.”  Isidro came down and only then did Judson shift his gaze back. He nonchalantly lowered his head to adjust his sleeves. “Speak.”  “I just went to Ms. Edwards‘ room and saw the card and this jewelry box on the table.” 

Chapter 9 No Pretending  As long as Judson answered with a “yes,” or nodded…  Rose would win!  She obtained crucial ironclad evidence, and she would then fiercely slap his arrogant face in court.  Rose looked up, her eyes filled with courage that she didn’t even know existed within her.  If there was any other path, Rose wouldn’t have confronted Judson,  But Rose didn’t get Judson’s answer.  Instead, he suddenly took a step forward and forcefully grabbed her, pulling her into his embrace.  “You…” Rose instinctively resisted.  “Shut up!” Judson’s cold voice came from above her head.  Judson pressed down on Rose’s head, forced her face into his chest, and locked her in his arms. He then dragged Rose out of the stairwell and locked the stairwell door behind him.  Rose had become obediently submissive.  She heard hurried footsteps behind her and caught a glimpse of sharp flashes from the corner of her eyes.  Fortunately, Judson was quick enough to prevent them from capturing her face directly.  Rose was not the first journalist to think of going upstairs to gather information, nor was she the only one with a membership card.  Strict management was in place above the tenth floor of Carls Hotel.  The room card for each floor could only access its respective floor.  The fifteenth floor had likely been reserved by Judson and Lillian. So, even if other journalists obtained cards for other floors, they could only try their luck by secretly climbing up the fire escape.  Unexpectedly, they got something by chance…  Fortunately, the fire escape on each could only be opened by the room card.  Judson dragged Rose into the room, locked the door, and threw her  onto the bed.  He looked down at her and gritted his teeth. “Did you call the journalist over?”  Before Rose could explain, Judson leaned down and firmly gripped her chin, forcing her to look up. Judson’s gaze sent chills down her spine.  “I warned you not to expose our relationship. Did you turn a deaf ear to my warning?”  Rose’s lips twitched, unable to utter a word.  After a moment, she finally broke free from Judson’s grasp. “You don’t have to worry, Mr. Roach … I won’t.”  Rose entertained such thoughts before to some extent… But they had broken up, so why would she willingly humiliate herself further?  Judson straightened up.  He casually adjusted his collar and looked down at Rose in disdain. “You’d better not.  “And don’t cause any trouble, understand?”  Rose casually pushed back her disheveled hair and looked at Judson once again.  “Yes. I won’t interfere with your relationship with Ms. Stewart.”  Things in the room instantly became tense.  Rose calmly asked, “Lillian is someone you like, so shouldn’t you publicly acknowledge her identity? Do you plan to make your relationship public?”  Judson’s gaze became even gloomier  Suffocating pressure enveloped Rose like a tide.  But Rose was calmer than ever before, with all her passion and feelings turned to ashes. Her heart was empty and devoid of any warmth.  However, her calmness irritated Judson.  Judson ground his teeth and finally managed to suppress the flames of anger gradually.  He took out his wallet and tossed a new card with a grim face. “Keep this card.”  Rose was shocked.  She heard Judson coldly say, “You better keep your mouth shut. I told you that next month is my grandfather’s 80th birthday celebration. Before that, don’t cause any trouble!”  Did Rose cause any trouble?  Judson made his affair with Lillian public and bought a ring with her, causing a stir in the media in Elland City.  But Judson blamed Rose.  Judson’s logic was something Rose didn’t quite understand.  Smack!  A sapphire blue jewelry box was thrown in front of Rose again.  Rose stood still for a full five seconds before reaching out to take the box in the eerie silence.  When Rose saw the logo on the box, her hand paused momentarily in mid–air.  Truelove…  This was a jewelry box from Truelove.  Rose’s heart pounded as she opened the box. 

Chapter 8 Do You Think You Are Qualified?  There was dim bluish light in the staircase.  It looked like the sea water reflected on Rose softly.  For a moment, Judson didn’t recognize her.  She appeared so suddenly.  Rose suddenly disappeared from his world, and then she suddenly appeared again.  This unexpected image made Judson astonished. He stared at her. Rose wore so differently from before.  She wore a black long–sleeved pullover polo shirt.  Her slender legs look longer with her navy blue jeans and her white sports shoes.  Her makeup was simple but beautiful.  ***  Judson almost forgot when he saw other colors on Rose before.  It seemed that from a certain moment, she started to wear white dresses all year round. She never changed her style.  And she would keep long straight hair down her back all the time.  But tonight, she gave up her style like a noble lady. She wore simple but pretty clothes. Her long hair was around her shoulders. She seemed to be a totally different person.  She did look different today.  Judson observed her and found that her skin was still delicate and fair. Her eyes were shining and her hair was soft. She was as stunned as before. He couldn’t describe her beauty with words.  Soon, Judson put on a long face. He snorted with a gloomy face. “Are you happy?”  He thought Rose disappeared because of her pride.  He didn’t expect that she didn’t change her personality which made him disgusted. She was still schemed and always sticking to him.  She disappeared on purpose and then followed him to this place.  If he hadn’t walked down the staircase, he wouldn’t know that she was  hiding there.  She made a scene in the Roach’s house and stalked him.  Was Rose happy when she saw Tameka blame him because of her?  Did Rose think she could fool the Roach family because the Edwards family helped the Roach family before?  ***  Rose recovered from the shock.  When Judson rushed in, she thought she started hallucinating.  Last night, in Imperial Garden, he called her to threaten her and warn her that she had to bear the consequences if she didn’t come home at night. Now, he was in Rayvale, on the staircase… on the 15th floor of Carls Hotel.  But soon, Rose realized something.  Since Lillian was here, it was normal that Judson was here.  But Rose didn’t expect that they were so intimate and sweet.  It seemed that they didn’t want to separate for a moment.  Rose felt that she had been a joke for the past 13 years.  She felt cold and ironic in her heart. But soon she felt relaxed.  Rose released her fists and adjusted her single–shoulder bag with no trace. “Judson, your intimate relationship with Ms. Stewart is true, right?”  As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Judson’s face turn gloomy.  He was unhappy just now, and now he was furious.  Judson asked with a gloomy face, “This is your purpose to come here? You even took my mom’s membership card and pretended to be her to come here.  “Rose, I don’t want to play games like this with you. Do you think I’ll like you since you do these things?”  Even if she left the Roach’s house suddenly, chased after him, sowed discord between Tameka and him… these were useless.  Judson grabbed her slender arm. “Rose, don’t put on a show. I’ve already known about your disgusting thoughts.“.  Rose’s wound didn’t recover. She felt a great pain.  His words and his expression were like sharp knives piercing her heart.  She felt so much pain that she felt that she was badly mutilated.  In the past, as soon as Rose saw Judson’s expression like this, or he said these sharp words, Rose would want to escape and curl herself up.  In order to protect herself, she would be terrified and careful. She would silently cry or keep away from him.  He would endure the pain secretly and cheat herself with those beautiful scenes just like her dream.  She never refused anything from Judson, whether it was sweet or sad. 

Chapter 7 You Force Me to Do So  Rose was so calm. Lillian didn’t help but want to prove it, and she kept saying.  “Although the reporters ask him, he will deny it now. But can you ignore that we went to choose the rings and those affairs?”  Rose said calmly, “Sometimes, affairs are not true.”  Lillian was angry but smiled, “The entertainment version of Flourish Media posted a passage today. They concluded my relationship with Judson in the past 7 years. Many people viewed this passage. You can check it. Many things in this passage are true.”  Rose replied indifferently. “Can you stake the reputation of the Stewart family on your words?”  “Of course! I’m the daughter of the Stewart family. I can represent the Stewart family!”  “I see. I wish you happiness.”  Rose hung up the phone and walked out of the elevator. She stepped up the stairs and started to edit the audio that she just recorded.  She deleted the information about the Edwards family and changed her  voice.  Then Rose sent it to Lakisha’s e–mail.  Rose called Lakisha, “Ms. Whitney, I got the phone call recording that Lillian admits her relationship with Judson. I’ve sent it to your e–mail.”  “Good job!” Lakisha was shocked. She also saw the interview just now. Lillian closed her mouth and didn’t admit anything.  Lakisha was very happy and praised Rose. “So many reporters can’t deal with her, but you did it. You are the hero!”  Rose was somewhat relaxed.  Actually, she didn’t need to live there now. But the more evidence she got, the more possible she won.  Rose called Eloy, “Eloy, please guard downstairs tonight again. I’ll play it by ear and contact you if anything happens.”  Rose put away the micro camera in her bag.  She thought, “Should I go to see Lillian again?  Judson, you force me to do so.”  ***  On the 15th floor of Carls Hotel, the elevator doors were opened.  Judson walked out as he listened to Isidro on the phone.  “Mr. Roach, I heard from the hotel that Mrs. Roach came to Rayvale. She lived on the 15th floor in Carls Hotel.”  Judson stopped. “Did you see her?”  Isidro didn’t go upstairs. “I’m not sure. But someone used her membership to check in.”  Judson hadn’t slept for two days. He just wanted to stay alone. He might resent anyone who stayed with him now.  Thus, Isidro got the entire 15th floor of Carls. This was both good to  them.  Normally, the hotel would not allow any other person to stay on this floor.  Unless this person was very important to Judson.  Thinking of Tameka’s curses on the phone before, Isidro said to Judson honestly, “Mr. Roach, Mrs. Roach is… furious.”  “Where did she live?” Judson asked.  “Room 1553. Just next to your room, Mr. Roach…”  Judson totally stopped.  He looked at the number on the door, 1553.  Judson kept silent for seconds. Then he turned around and walked to the stairs.  His previous experience taught him that when his mother was angry, he’d better not argue with her.  As Rose got ready for everything, she was about to walk out of the staircase. Suddenly, someone rushed in.  They looked at each other and were stunned.
